We used Sherpa for our recent move and had a great experience. They were prompt, respectful, and diligent in getting us moved across town. I appreciated that they gave us a thorough estimate by requesting pictures and videos of the house and then they actually came in under their original estimate! The one downside was that they weren't able to move our bunk bed but they explained that it would take several hours to assemble and disassemble the bed and would make our total price a lot higher. We had agree to start moving 9am they showed one hour late and even though they communicated they would be late they took a long time. The moving process went well at first they wrapped the furniture and didn't damage anything. On the way to the new apartment however, they left a dent in my ceiling and the wall as well as scraped the pint off the door. They weren't able to get all of my furniture in my new apartment. I suggested taking couch legs and cushion to make it easier for them to try again but they refuse saying they were running late to their other job so they didn't want keep trying the couch. Even though they were adamant that it would not fit. I was able to get the couch myself later by doing what I suggested. Overall I felt like payed too much for a team that showed up late and couldn't finished the job and see it to the end. read more

We got a quote and then arranged for them to come to the house to review contents, at their request. The time scheduled was suggested by Sherpa and we agreed with that time. They didn't show or call. I called to check in and see if they were running behind and was told "they were just getting ready to call". They'd had a mishap with a truck and asked if they could reschedule for the next day. Found Sherpa (after reading Yelp reviews) and reached out for a quote (note, better to call directly than wait for a response online). Jesse, the owner, came out to assess move and gave me a reasonable quote on the spot. Sherpa wrapped everything for me and moved me from my apartment into my storage unit - quickly! I would highly recommend them, they are locally owned and not outsourced - you know what you're getting. It was a tricky move in that they had to shuttle items/furniture from a third floor apartment to the moving van on the ground floor (clearance doesn't allow you to drive up and there is no elevator). All-in-all, move was successful, reasonable and all my items were delivered and stacked safely. read more

We have used Sherpa three times for small local moves. Mostly we were moving larger furniture items and appliances. Jesse is excellent at communication. We talked and texted leading up to each move. I knew exactly what time his crew would arrive, and who was on the crew. They followed instructions in detail. They wrapped each item carefully at origin, and unwrapped, reassembled as required, and positioned the items at destination. They even moved a king sized mattress upstairs to a loft where we had to use straps and go up and over a railing, since the loft has a narrow spiral staircase. On one of our moves, there was a small dent on an appliance that his team immediately pointed out and took responsibility for. I probably wouldn't have even noticed it, but suffice it to say that Jesse made it right. My impression of Jesse is that he is a man of genuine integrity, a strong work ethic, and unwavering personal responsibility. No, I'm not related to Jesse, other than that we are both Veterans. We will be moving again, and we will definitely be Calling Sherpa! read more

My experience, i had to get a last minute help on a full trailer o be unloaded from California, no one was around to help and i started to get anxiety... called Jesse and asked if they can help. It's pleasant to communicate with them all the time. They responds so fast and everything moves so smooth. Upon their arrival, they started moving small items and packing big furnitures, such as fridge, sofa, etc.. Most of them have been wrapped with blanket and films. We were so worried that something may have defect during transportation and the moving, but when we see them packing, we feel much more reassured. Sherpa moving company stole one of our leather recliners while packing and moving us to storage 3 months prior to moving into our new home. Now we are unpacking and have discovered other missing items and several broken items The owner, Jesse Gartman, told us it would cost $6,000-6,400 but charged us over $9,400! I have tried to call his business but he will not answer my calls or return my calls with voice messages I've left. I filed a police report. DO NOT USE SHERPA MOVING COMPANY!!!! read more

Worst experience of my veteran husband's life! Jessie Gartman was very rude, arrogant and condescending. Stomped out of our home shouting "LEAVE ME ALONE!! DON'T CONTACT ME!" He is truly a very hot headed person. Double billed us for our move. Demanded payment immediately after move but refused to send us an itemized statement for 16 days. We have moved for a total of 18 times in our lives tougher and by far these guys are the best movers we have ever had! We moved from Florida for my partners job here to Oklahoma City. We had a Pod and was thinking we were going just move stuff up to the apartment ourselves and then realized the day before...we wanted help. With the help of the apartment manager, we called around 4pm the day before and was able to schedule the service for the following day...the only issue...we didnt know for sure what time the Pod would arrive! This wasn't even a problem for these guys....I found out later that night when my 3 hours window would be and text them....they said just let us know when its there...no problem at all. Well, not kidding, the Pod person called and said they were 20 mins away. I text these guys and they got there in 15 mins...literally when the Pod was being unloaded! They were super nice...fast...and so careful for not only the items but for the apartments walls and floors! Needless to say...anytime I need a move...I am calling them!
