I just moved recently and needed to get my piano tuned. It's been over a decade since it was in…read moreuse. I spent a couple of days looking for a piano tuner who seems to have a lot of experience and within my price range and location. I contacted him from his website and he emailed me back within a day. Compared to all the other I contacted, he was very quick. I believed that my piano was extremely bad and needed repairs so we made a two appointment days in case we needed the second day. He came in and quickly gave me a quote which was a lot lower then I expected from his website's price listing and we didn't need a second day. While he was working on the piano, he explained to me a couple of his instruments about what they are and used for. He also told me about worse case scenarios (string breaking) and what the aftermath would be. He was here for a few hours (2-3). He was very respectful and kind. My dog liked him too. :)

I only have one other teacher to compare Sheng to, but it is such a vast improvement it is nearly…read moreincomprehensible. I think the difference stems from the incredible amount of care he puts into his students' learning path and their eventual performances. My first teacher basically went page by page in the adult book. Sheng jumped from book to book to not only keep learning interesting but to focus on techniques that were most importantly lacking in the student. I would highly recommend hiring him as your next piano teacher!

I frequent Don Ramon's next door and decided to bite the bullet and call. I'm 27 so a little self conscious about never having a music lesson. The lessons are catered to what you as the student wants to do and learn. It's also nice it's a collaborative effort between me and Keeton. He can play multiple instruments, and is a very outgoing, likable person. He also has interesting tid bits about music (theory) which I didn't know I was even doing. He makes it easy to put yourself out there trying to make music (which is obviously very personal and intimidating). I highly recommend and can't be more happy with this experience. I have a busy schedule as a salesman but he's always easy to work with. I really can't thank him enough.
