This is a no frills, 1960's style barber shop. By no frills I mean you get a haircut and that's it. No neck or ear shave, shampoo, etc. A haircut is $25. To me that's pricy as compared to the competition for the service you receive. I went here because I had been wanting to try it and my usual spot couldn't get me in. I had to go on a job interview so I needed to get it done. I made an appointment online. There was only one barber available that day as the others were booked. When I arrived he was surprised (Tony) as he didn't know I had an appointment. The haircut was of good quality and I will return the next time I am unable to get in to my regular place. read more

I had a appointment with Yoshi, it took 50 minutes to get a "taper" which is what I asked for. In reality, bro just lined the back of my neck and side burns up and charged me 30 dollars. Was not a good experience whatsoever and I'd recommend many other places over this one. read more

5/6/2016 Great service in a well appointed "old school" full service Barber Shop. I stopped here last week while I was at the 2016 Chicago Pipe Show at the Pheasant Run Resort. I needed a quick clean up for my flat top. No waiting, right into the chair and off. The Barber, I believe was Tom, gave a great hair cut and told me about several places to eat that were close by. $15 for a buzzer and straight razor cut / clean up. Not bad considering the attention to detail and the amount of time spent in the chair. They are METICULOUS! Definitely not anything like a "Super Cuts" of "Sport Cuts" that's for sure. Everything about this place is right. I got the best haircut I've had in years, and it was $15. You're not sitting and waiting....and waiting...and waiting. It's not a fade factory with misogynistic hip-hop blasting and the barber's "friends" sitting around and cussing. It's not a chain with people who have no clue how to cut mens' hair. It's not dingy and run-doiwn, like other men's barber shops that most guys have been to at some point in their lives. I wanted to like this place because of the great reviews but I just can't. I've been here a few times (no more than 5) and usually it's hit or miss. But the one thing I can always say about this place is that they'll always cut your hair shorter than you want it, they just don't listen to you! I've gone in and literally showed them a picture of what I wanted just to get something entirely different. Wanted to grow my hair out and just came in for a trim, nothing crazy. They end up cutting 4 months worth of hair. However, the last time I came here it was just too ridiculous. I came in to get a faded quiff and they ended up giving me the worst haircut I've ever had, sides were too long and top was too short. This happened summer 2019 and I figured nothing could be done but atleast I can warn others. But let's say I'm a dude that doesn't care much about their hair. Well I have to say that the moment I walked it I just didn't really feel that welcomed, the vibe was off. I'm not gonna say it's because I'm Asian and no one else was, but let's just say it was because I wasn't a Wheaton townie. I'm sure they're all great people and mean well, but I had one too many terrible haircuts not to at least warn one other person. read more

I usually requested the same haircut every time from the same barber for years. When I moved to the West suburbs, I started going to Sheridan's and Tommy was instantly my new go-to barber. He has some serious skill with a straight blade and shears. The other barbers there are all great, so I've always been able get an impressive cut and shave from all of them. I had a special event coming up and asked Tommy for something different. He let me know what would work, what wouldn't, and gave me a great cut. He also showed me how to make it look the same on my own. Since then I bring in a new photo of a style every once in a while and he never disappoints. I don't need to worry about appointments and the wait is never long. They keep a clean shop and all the barbers there are great too (there are no stylists, but all of them can give a close shave). Parking on the street can be a pain, but there's parking behind the buildings to the West and along the tracks. I wish he was open past 2 on Saturday, but respect that he still needs time for himself. He got a skill and I don't want him to burn out. Thanks for all the great cuts! read more

My two teen boys went to Sheridan's to get haircuts. They both had pics of exactly what they wanted. They even gave verbal directions as to what they wanted. Well, what they wanted is not what they got. The haircuts they got were terrible. I honestly believe we could have had better cuts at Great Clips. Even the kids at their school were asking where they got such terrible haircuts. If you just want a buzz cut, then go to this place. If you want ANYTHING else, go somewhere else. read more

High-end Salons with fancy designs and eye catching name boards are of no use after Tom and and his crew are on top of the league. This guy, Tom, has got the STUFF.
