Lisa took me last minute when the shop was busy. I was at first unsure having been my first time to the shop. She was excellent and took her time with me and made sure I was happy with her work. I will be coming back, feel extremely happy with my hair and my beard read more

I did a walk in and they were kind enough to accommodate , but highly recommend to schedule ahead of time. They seem pretty busy. Good haircut. It seems like a well established place who have their regular customers and keep going with the routine. read more

I travel to Chicago twice a year for work and every time I make sure to book an appointment with Robert. He consistently does a good job with my haircut. Robert pays attention to every detail making sure the cut is just right. I always leave feeling confident and looking sharp. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone who truly cares about their craft! read more

JMC Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Elmhurst, Illinois

Nice interior w/ sort of a punk stoner vibe. It's a small shop, seating only three or four at a time as I recall, but the tall ceilings keep it from feeling claustrophobic. Not a great haircut sorry to say. The sides ended up patchy and uneven, with one side noticeably longer than the other. I hate leaving reviews like this because I don't want to affect someone's business. But for $35 before the tip, I'm expecting a competent haircut. read more

Robert did an outstanding job! A true professional. Reasonable, easy to book appointment online and I look great!

The service was amazing and the barber were incredible patients with my boys. Definitely going back

Nice people in a fun rock n roll motif. Excellent cut at reasonable prices. I would recommend

Great place to chill, get your hair cut and catch up on whats going on in the neighborhood. I think the decorations on the wall are bad ass, and they were able to squeeze me in without an appointment (trust me you should have one, the place is a constant revolving door) and I look like one handsome bastard with a fresh lid. read more

Where do I start? Found this place after being very unhappy with a lot the barbers and salons around this area. A quick google search led me to find this place rated one of the best barbershops in the western suburbs by Chicago Magazine. They were right. I was able to get a haircut appointment for the next day after making my appointment online. Arrived and quickly felt right at home. A two chair barbershop with youtube on two walls with the guys choosing random videos off the internet to watch. By no means did this mean my haircut was sub-par or without effort. Steve listened to my needs and what I wanted out of a cut and was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. Something not a lot of other professionals in the area can do. He also was a laugh out loud riot with humor and offered very insightful "life advice". A barbershop should be a place to go and get a cut, but more importantly kick back and chat with your newly found neighbors. This place turned out to be everything that description entails and more. After about a year of trying different places, I think I found the place where my ears will be lowered from now on. Definitely check this place out as you won't be disappointed in the way you look, but more importantly, the experience you get. read more

You need the look, they can do it! Shelly's my choice and does great all the time. Recently got the scalp massage after the cut, then a wash and neck shave. WELL WORTH IT! Pricing is great for the pro cut you are looking for to make yourself look spot on. Thanks for the great service again, Shelly! read more

I found this barber shop after switching from my old barber. I made an appointment with Breanna. Honestly I feel stupid for not switching a lot sooner. Breanna does a really good job, my wife is impressed with the cut every time. Tells me never to switch again and I agree read more

I moved to Wood Dale from Garfield Ridge last summer and for a while I was driving back to my old barber shop because I couldn't find a good barber shop. That changed when I found JMC and Breanne. Great shop! Great haircuts since and just a fun environment to be in! Can't recommend JMC and Breanne enough! read more

I've been going here for 5 years - absolutely best haircut to this day! It's worth every penny. The ambiance is also unlike any other barber shop read more

I made my appointment online with Breanne for a time when I'd be visiting family in Elmhurst. I popped in. She was right on time. Everyone was practicing safe covid practices. Cool decor in the shop. I showed her a couple of pics and gave a brief description. She hooked me up with a great high fade comb-over in 22 minutes, leaving 4 1/2 months of hair on the floor. I would highly recommend the shop and Breanne. read more

A great group of barbers with magnificent talent and the kind of gruff personalities that make a true barbershop in this world of high maintenance metro-sexuals. The personality of this cuttery makes it very easy to be loyal to their atmosphere...to the point I am having my two daughters (8&2) come in for a trim because I believe in their community/loyal ideals. Go out of your way to give this place a whirl because they just "get it" read more

Great barber shop, they know what they are doing. Online appointments are really convenient too.

"You're not going to an old people's barbershop, are you?" the wife asked- and it wasn't a rhetorical question. "Nope," I said, "go ahead and look at their website." She did, and no more questions were asked. Like many new JMC customers, I am a recent transplant from the city who found the shop on Yelp. I'll definitely be back. The cool, music-centric decor reminds me of my former go-to, Irving Park Barbershop. The advantage here is online scheduling of appointments. Look, it's a very popular and busy place and you never really need a haircut all of a sudden, so plan ahead and schedule a cut on the day and time of your choosing. There's no need to show up and wait with a group of other dudes led on by the unrealistic estimated wait time of 10-20 minutes. It's not 2015 anymore! Breanne was really nice and gave me a great haircut. To my wife's delight, there wasn't a single old person in sight... though I suppose I'm getting there. read more

Jay has been the barber for my son and me for over two years. He knows his stuff and runs a great shop. Extremely satisfied!

Love this barbershop - I always get compliments on my haircuts when I go here - I've sent other people her - what more do you want?

Breanne has done a great job for me 3 times now. My wife highly approves. Definitely going back!

Walked in with the youngster for a haircut. The guy working gave us a disappointed look as we sat down. After a couple of minutes I asked if we needed a appointment. He went into a diatribe how he was the only one working today blah, blah blah...I get it. You don't want to make $20 for 15 minutes work l'll go elsewhere. Pretty wierd way to run a business. read more

Breanne rocks. I came in for an appointment and was impressed with my haircut. Breanne is quick, but thorough. 5 Star experience.

Made an appointment online and went for the first time today. All of the positive reviews are correct. Quality haircut at a good price and the atmosphere is totally laid back. This is my new "place". read more

Great fun place! Breanne cut my husband and kids hair. She did a great job- good price and got them in and out!

Simply fantastic! Appointments easily made online and they always run on time.. Cut is great and you can be in and out quickly. Would highly recommend. Hot lather very nice as well at the end of the cut. read more

This place is awesome ! Jay is the man and the whole staff is great. No where else to get a haircut!

Great barber in a great atmosphere! I highly recommend Steve. Great haircut every time and has never cancelled an appointment.

Great old school haircut with a modern take on a barbershop. A haircut from either Jay or Steve is going to be great. If you get to your appointment early to can even play one of the many guitars, drums or other assorted musical instruments the shop holds. The best part I've found about the appointments is the on-line schedule - you can book your entire appointment on-line and get it confirmed within minutes. Nothing but a great haircut, interesting decor and friendly staff at JMC. Highly recommend it. read more
