My family came here to visit not knowing what to expect. It was a great experience learning how Forestiere built these tunnels so intentionally and with innovation. The guided tour is about 60 minutes and includes a lot of walking with some stairs, so be prepared with comfy shoes. However, there's also benches in the tunnels if you need a quick seat. The tour ends in the grand ballroom which connects to the gift shop. There you can find citrus sorbet made from the fruits of this garden. I had to give that a taste and it was sweet and zesty. I went home with some postcards to send to friends too. This place is also California State National Landmark No. 916! You must add it to your bucket list of adventures.

The equipment is new and fun! There are climb on figures like bears and turtles. There's bark and foam/rubber ground, but no sand. While my kids are sand ADDICTS, they don't mind not having sand at this park because it's so fun. The playground is significantly shaded by overhead shades as well as trees. It's very well maintained. There's a drinking fountain, but no bathrooms. Very well lit at night. It has tables and benches with overhead awning that can be reserved for parties. There's half a basketball court. There's really something for everyone. Bring your dogs, bring the family, and have fun!

I was amazed knowing that I was standing underneath a natural cave it was such an incredible experience! Right from the get go the staff welcomes your group and is telling you instructions to take care of yourself, your group and the caves/park. They greet you with enthusiasm and you learn so much. Please arrive on time! For parking there's quite a bit of spaces. There's restroom nearby so you can go before heading out. You can bring your backpack onto the trail but can't bring it inside the cave. So you can either bring it and leave it on the floor outside the cave or in your car. The trail can be a little challenging for some but very doable. Can be a little challenging for some children and some older adults. This also includes for the caves.The staff are there to watch for your safety but they do warn you about your surroundings. The cave is very cool to explore but there will be some tight spaces you will navigate through. So I don't recommend bringing a stroller and make sure your kids are able to walk and stay near. They will definitely enjoy the cool nature stuff inside! There's a gift shop stand near the entrance of the trail. You can buy nice souvenirs, snacks, and support! Overall we loved our tour and we would comeback again for this. Thank you to all the staff of Crystal Cave for all that you do and taking care of this natural beauty.

With wide open spaces and plenty of trees it's a great place to take the kids for a picnic, either on the ground with a blanket, or on one of it's many picnic table. My only complaint right now is that the bridge seems to be out. My kids used to love going across the bridge, and sometimes feeding the ducks from it, but now it seems to be closed off. Once they fix, or replace the bridge, I'll raise my rating to five stars.
