There is this little historical jail to visit at the base, otherwise there isn't too much to it. Kingsburg's Draper street is a block away which is this cute little Swedish themed area. It's no Solvang and surprisingly doesn't have any Swedish restaurants that I could see but it has cute architecture and the Swedish flag on many businesses. It entertaining to walk around a little bit after unless you are in the summer heat.

He let us know we could check out all the buildings there. We explored Clay school house first, they had the classroom set up like it was still in use. There were mannequins in there to look realistic. Super cool. I found my nana's name and picture from her year book. It was on the wall of the class room. Then we checked out the church, it's still in use. The fire house was cool, we got to take pics on the engine. The old house was beautiful inside and out! It's a really nice way to spend the day! They're open on weekends. Free parking.

The venue itself is incredible, but my favorite part was the staff & management team at the park who assisted us with almost everything for our big day. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a stress-free day. Helping with deliveries day-of, ideas for layout/planning, draft timelines, you name it! I have never experienced anything this - you have to really appreciate the amount of work, design and detail by Baldassare Forestiere - truly a feat! Highly recommend if you appreciate gardening, architecture, art, engineering etc. They also did a great job of reminding me of my appointment and following up afterwards. The gardens were built in an unexpected park of Fresno and these is a lot of history behind them. Parking was somewhat difficult but once you enter, the staff were very kind, organized, and positive. Our tour guide Raul was super sweet and provided a lot of history regarding the gardens and the family who built them. Raul had my 3 young boys engaged and interested. He answered all my questions and was so open to conversation. You could tell Raul was proud to be there telling all of us how the Gardens came to be. The Gardens are very interesting. I've never seen anything quite like these. The smell of all the citrus trees combine with the natural cooling underground was amazing and made the tour comfortable. If you have any time i do recommend visiting these secret gardens.

They added another baseball field a few years ago to meet demands but they didn't add another parking area to meet with high demands of the extra crowd it would attract. Restrooms are a little difficult as well. Kinda remind me of the ones at The Pismo Beach Pier. Enter at your own risk and take some napkins with you just in case and some hand sanitizer. We met family from Sacramento here today, we're from Bakersfield. We have never been here before…read more It was a great deal at $3/person, since it's the 1st sat of the month. We spent about 3 or so hours playing & exploring. It's really meant for younger ages,probably up until about 10-11. My son is going to be 11 next week & loved it because he loves dinosaurs, digging & science. Not sure i would go out of my way to go back, only because we don't live locally but if we lived in fresno I would consider getting a membership. They have a lot of great programs throughout the week which would be great for school field trips or homeschooling co-ops.

This was my 3rd time visiting Sequoia & Kings Canyon and I learned things I never knew! She is exceptionally knowledgeable about Sequoia & Kings Canyon. This was the highlight of our trip!
