There's one picnic table , a bench and a bbq grill in the playground area. The restroom is usually clean and located near the playground. There are two picnic tables near the restroom. There's a giant canopy over the playground which is nice during hot months. There's one big group picnic area with five or six tables/benches under a cover with bbq grills. It's nicely shaded during Fresno's hot summer . This group picnic area is a first come first serve basis . No reservation required. The city does a good job keeping this park clean and well maintained. Yard crew comes to mow the lawn, pick up dead leaves and the trash. They also keep the restrooms clean. One of the swings was broken so I called the Park and Rec Dept. I wasn't expecting them to come out and fix it anytime soon because it was during the New Years holidays. Much to my surprise, the swing was fixed within a few days of the phone call I made. So I called them back to thank them and a praise of a job well done to the supervisor and she was pleased with her team. Made her and my day. Teenagers who come to play basketball here are polite and nice. People who bring dogs here are friendly as well. Parking is big and there are two lots. The sign says they close the gates at the parking lots at 10 pm. I've seen them locked sometimes but not everyday. The basketball court is nicely lit till around 10 pm.

That is a rarity nowadays and I love it. There are a couple different play structures so the kids are not stacked on top of each other, and the shade barriers are nice as well, especially in the summer time and the basketball court is good too. Fenced in so kids can't ruin a game or a ball can't go to the playground and hit someone, so that's actually a nice plus. All around a great place.

My two…read moresisters and I have been coming to this park since we were teenagers as we lived in the area growing up. I took my 6 year old niece here for a photo shoot when she was under a year for her first Valentines Day celebration so this park will always be so special to me as there were so many memories created here! Not much as changed when I came here when I was 13 years old as they have a play structure, tennis courts, basket ball court, baseball diamond and big grassy area too! The park is always clean and by a rail road tracks that's highly active. I believe two trains passed during our time here. My sister and I would reminisce how crazy we were back then as we climb the trains or go under them which was so dangerous!! The nieces loved this parked and enjoyed eating their meals there and then being able to play with the kids at the park. There were a lot of activities going on and families here enjoying getting out and having fun! Overall, I love coming to this park as it's so low key. Definitely recommend coming to this park if you are in the area not crowded and there's ample places to sit and relax or get up and exercise! The only negative I didn't like is that ALL dog owners took their dogs off the leash which made me feel uncomfortable but hopefully one day they will build a gated section for that.

Very thankful to have received free tickets for taco throwdown entrance!…read more This was my 3rd time attending to this event. Check-in was quick but for some reason the wand was beeping on me and had nothing on me, in which the staff kept waving the wand up and down. There was about 24 taco trucks I believe. Plus the micheladas and salsa contest. I was only able to try 2 trucks which the first one taco macho was 10/10 worth the wait. You have to have a plan to try and taste as many taco trucks that you can because the lines are huge. I tried to micheladas and they were both good, a bit watered down but good. The performances were good as they portrayed all generations! One thing that I was upset about was the women bathrooms....I know when people drink they may get tipsy and using the bathroom a lot but these stalls were terrible. I feel bad for the staff that had to clean them. I'm glad Fresno continues to do events like this though!

Recently attended Taco Truck Throw Down! My thoughts on the…read morepark- I first have to start with saying the park really was on top of security. We were all wanded with a metal detector and they had a clear bag policy. The event was held on the field and they put down flooring on top of the field which was really nice. The concert stage was located in center field and trucks were positions around the perimeter of the field. The bathrooms could definitely use more attention throughout the event but overall they weren't the worst. My thoughts on the event- Honestly it's a great concept. Lots of tacos and some friendly competition. You do need to wear comfy shoes and prepare to wait in some very long lines. I will say some of the competitors handled their lines very swiftly. I don't think you could hit every truck even if you tried just because of the wait times. There was one truck in particular that was trying to trade votes for entry into a raffle which was entirely ridiculous in my opinion. I do have to mention Harry's Mex Grill as being my absolute favorite of the 7 trucks I tried. They earned my vote and I can't wait to find them out at other event! Overall, I think this is an event everyone has to try once! I highly recommend purchasing the VIP tickets because they're a great value. Overall, a huge shoutout to Chukchansi park and Fresno street eats for putting on a huge community event year after year!

Unfortunately when we got there at our time slot of Like 9am or so it was raining which the nieces of course didn't mind at all but my sisters and I were totally not prepared -_- A miracle happened as the rain pretty much stopped about 10 minutes in from arriving but all the bounce houses were wet! But didn't stop the fun. They had food trucks out, music playing and port-a-potty. All the bounce houses were so amazing and it definitely brought out my inner kid. The obstacles course is NO joke and my little niece who is 5 years old had a bet going on for Starbucks pretty much dragged me through the course so we could beat my sister and her daughter which we did by 10 minutes and I was exhausted but a lot of fun!!! Some peeps were doing it twice !!!!! Like no !!! But Kudos to them. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Granite Park and you can even see this wonderful place from the freeway off 168 which was pretty cool! Very organized and clean. Staff was so incredible and friendly . Lovely experience and worth EVERY penny!!! My sisters and I agreed as long as my nieces are willing to go we will too as it was a lot of FUN!!!! Definitely a MUST!
