    Splash Pad!
    Kimberly L.

[Review #480] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (139/100) Figarden Loop Park is a nice neighborhood park with large & small kid activity structures. There's also a splash pad that's open during the summers around 10:00 AM, but not consistently on because you have to wait for the city worker to turn on the water. :-| The both play structures have coverage to protect the kids somewhat from the blazing sun & heat, especially during the summers. The grounds are fairly kempt & maintained, but during the summer, we noticed there's more litter due to the increased park goers. It's more quiet during the winter, & definitely colder so bundle up! Mornings are best no matter the time of year because you can have the park to yourself. =D There's limited parking spaces, & harder to find one during the summer months. Restrooms are near the splash pad, & usually stocked. Figarden Loop Park has been our family favorite spot due to its proximity to my aunt's & the kids are mostly entertained by the jungle gym. And once in awhile, we meet a nice family & our kids will have an instantaneous play date.

Nice park. Looks pretty Clean and safe. Covered. Green. I sat in my car and enjoyed lunch. It was pretty empty. Still looks taken care of. They have bathrooms too. Recommended!

Great to come enjoy a picnic lots of spread out trees near the grass area where you can safely social distance and still enjoy the shade. The park itself is very clean has a covered area to host parties and barbecue. It also has a pretty big Splash Pad which is the reason why we came my son had a blast. They also have two park one for older kids and one for smaller kids which is very convenient. We will defined be back. Bathrooms are open but we didn't go inside them so I guess I'll update this post when we come back to see if the bathrooms are clean.

It's about goddamn time they built this freakin' park! I think I was like in elementary school when the city was in talks of building a park in this area. Geez, that was eons ago. But now it's finally built and it's gosh darn awesome! This place has a baseball field, walkways near the water basin, water fountains, two tot lots, a picnic pavilion, restrooms, splash park and some other stuff. Nice to see lots of people are using this park - gets pretty packed! What I don't like are the a$$holes who graffiti the place up. But good job to the folks who clean it up!

5his park has gone down hill. I was only here just last year. We visited again and the floor has pot holes, it's dirty, the water isn't on anymore, it's just all bad. Sad too cuz this is supposed to be a nice area and all. It was so nice before but not anymore.

We are happy that we found this park smiliar to o he's we used to go in Canada. Teens should not be using kids equipment there and parents should teach them not to be rough around small children.

If you haven't stopped by this park before, please note that parking fills up fast-especially on weekends and holidays-but it is worth it. Nestled in a residential area of central north Fresno, this park has something for everyone. If you want to throw a party, there is a sheltered picnic area that you can use. I highly recommend that you reserve the space through the City of Fresno, as it is often booked. There is an ADA accessible path, a water feature that meanders through the grounds and can be very refreshing in the hot Fresno summer. There is a sand play area, swings, see saw, climbing structure and a lovely park path that overlooks a ponding basin filled with fish, turtles and water birds. This particular basin has a small island with large trees that are often filled with white cranes and other birds. The park grounds offer quiet benches under shade trees to sit for a while, grassy gently sloping lawns that are great for frisbee or other family activities. This is also an amazing place to find a ton of baby geese in the spring....super cute! I've seen folks relaxing and flying kites here....playing ball, and just enjoying being off screen and outdoors. Check it out, if you haven't already!

They are super friendly & will eat out of our kids hands. We accidentally came here yesterday during the Water Lantern Festival & it was insane how many people & food trucks were there. *Tip If you plan on coming for than a few time during the year but the annual parking pass from the electronic kiosks around the park for $50 (it's good for parking at all city parks & The Fresno Zoo as well but it's only good for one cars license plate.

It was always a great way to spend some outdoor time and get fresh air. The new building in the botanical garden is incredible and 100% community funded! That means the volunteers and donors of this space fully own everything! With zero government red tape, they're able to fast track art events, adult ED classes, garden parties, and create jobs for the community. The new building is beautiful and comes with a small gift shop, selling local artist pieces, indoor meeting/recreation area, and an shaded outdoor patio. The patio is public and available for anybody who is walking the trail. We actually ate our lunch here, before walking the botanical garden trail for a nature scavenger hunt. They also cleaned up a few of the trails and opened up a few more areas for outdoor events. This is a great addition to the Clovis community and if you haven't been yet, get yourself here and support this beautiful botanical garden!
