Little kid playground
Shelby C.

It's a good park that has a little kid area and big kid play areas not too far apart from each other. Baby/toddler swing set (3 seats) and big kid swings (4 seats) . The park is a lot better now that they covered the playground structures from the sun, totally more enjoyable. The Clovis trail goes along the back of the park , so you can join the trail from here . The park also has a big open area with a few tables throughout. 2 bathrooms by the only covered table area that has 12 picnic tables. There are 4 grills by the tables and at least 2 more grills by further away tables . The only real drawback is the parking, it's street parking. So, it can fill up quick cause if birthday parties and people getting on the Clovis trail.

Gazeebos

Wow... 5 stars for the cleanest park bathroom I've ever seen. We met some friends here for a play date and it was my first time at this park. Parking is on the street unless there is some hidden parking lot that I missed. There are a few gazeebos where you can totally have a birthday party. Not too many people were here and that was nice. The playground was clean and nothing was broken. We went to use the potty and I went to brace myself for that disgusting urine smell most park bathrooms have. To my suprise, it didn't even smell at all! There was toilet paper and seat covers and a smelly soap too! There are 2 playgrounds and tons of grass all around for soccer or what have you. All in all, great park. Wish it was closer to my home.

Went to this park today. It's a decent park and there's a lot of space to hangout. It's pretty Relaxing to walk around. There's a walking trail right alongside the park. They have two playgrounds. There is no parking lot for parking. You have to park on side of road. It is very easy to find. My baby enjoyed playing but I do feel like there's not much to do. Maybe for the bigger kids but for the little kids, the options are pretty simple. I like how they have two playgrounds, it's a clean park, it has lots of space, plenty of seating in the seating area and restrooms. We will continue to find other parks more suitable for younger kids but I would still recommend anyone to visit this park.

Cute little kid area

I have come here plenty of times either jogging with my dogs or playing with my little one and this park has always been great. They have nice pathways going all around and the trail that's right next to it and even the overhangs that you can have parties at. I have even seen some yoga classes and work out classes on the grass area and there's plenty of space so even if it is busy you don't feel like you're right next to somebody. Even have a bike spot where you can fix up your bike or tires as well as a doggie fountain which I greatly appreciate. You don't see either of those often. One of my go to spots for sure

Such a beautiful and quiet park

This is a great park for a family outing. Got here around 11 and found a nice shady spot with a table and barbecue pit. Set up the pop up and game area for the kids and it was perfect. There's a playground area for both toddlers and older kids. Many people come out with children and dogs. This place has bathrooms to use for convenience. It's near a bike trail so plenty of families biking.

This neighborhood park is one of my favorites to have a nice picnic lunch or ride bikes through (it's located on the Clovis Old Town Trail literally). It's quiet, and even on days when it's busy, it's never crowded. Mostly families as you can guess visit this park; it has a really nice jungle gym/swing area & a covered area for larger gatherings. There's plenty of picnic tables, trash cans, trees and bbq stations as well. Really well maintenanced and just all around a nice place to chill.

Such a cute little park. Plenty of picnic tables and 2 different playgrounds. It's in front of a walking trail and beautiful trees all aroud.

Walked the connected trail, nicely paved area. Lots of joggers and bikers out. Really friendly people!

Sierra National Forest - 2025 Jun 3: Perimeter Trail

Sierra National Forest

2025 Jun 3: Wawona Point (5 of 5)…read more Elevation Range: 5,093' - 6,805' (source: trail site) Estimated Time: 4 hours Round Trip: 8.04 (from where we parked: return) Difficulty: Moderate Our Hike Route: Back way to the Perimeter Trail towards Mariposa Grove, and up to Wawona Point To appreciate beauty, one must always accept some ugliness. Though The Sierra National Forest opens up its beauty to us, there are things we noticed that may have been scarred by either humans or from forest fires. The start of our trail was level and easy. The trail, in all its glory, boasts of its natural state: mountainous, rocky, uneven, and some elevation changes. We started early, but not early enough to make the 8-hour hike up and down. The lovely morning sun that offered us warmth, comfort and energy began to beat down on our backs as the sun's rays turned hot. Most of the trails were exposed and open, except for a few shady spots. (Note: Dress in layers, and bring plenty of water and a light snack.) Along the way, we had the pleasure of seeing a deer family enjoy the food that nature spread out for them, and gray squirrels hopping from one rock to another. Even the majestic trees that graced the forest floor that was burnt inside-out presented themselves in a beautiful light. The birds were our guides: singing and chirping as we hiked. The sad moment was seeing graffiti on tree trunks and rocks, and trash that humans left behind. We didn't bring a big bag this time, so we could not pick up all the trash that we noticed on the ground. The incredible moment was when we noticed volunteers cutting, shaping and clearing the shrubs along the way. We stopped to thank everyone of them. Miguel, one of the volunteers allowed me to take a snapshot of him. Four hours later, on the way down, the volunteers were still hard at work. Our appreciation for them went up tenfold. We were also surprised and grateful that the toilets were clean. Wawona Meadow greeted us with a panoramic viewpoint of Yosemite National Park. The stunning views of Wawona Meadow and Wawona Dome was a sight to behold on this clear sunny day. I think this is a hike worth doing.

They have a "Free Lifetime Pass" card for military members with service-connected disabilities…read more Others with disabilities may receive this great benefit as well. The card provides free access to all National Parks and 50% off for parking, boat launching and camping too! Just bring in I.D. and appropriate documentation. For questions, I highly recommend calling in advance. Ask for Jamie, who is one of the ladies at the front desk. She is quite helpful and kind. Overall, the office has lots of great info for National parks and great activities like skiing, hiking, camping, fishing and all things wilderness. They also have a plethora of maps, booklets, handouts, guides and related information. I was even tempted to buy their "Smoky the Bear" stuffed animal. I remember his slogan from my childhood, "Only YOU can prevent forest fires."
