Then there's people who go through the trash cans dumping everything out? Looking for recycles....which is fine, but dont leave the trash on tbe ground...put it back. Low lifes do crap like that. Anyway, the 2nd visit everything got super real as we nearly drowned farther down. I thought I had it under control but when you no longer see rocks, its time to back up before the current pushes you to where you can no longer stand ground. We were swept away about 1/4 mile swimming against the current. Honestly. I believe our crocs helped keep us from becoming too tired. Finally I was able to pull and push my daughter from the left of me around to the right bank where I told her to grab onto branches from a tree submerged in the water. I thought I was a gonner after she had been hanging on me and I was quickly losing my stamina. I was lucky enough to catch branches a few yards down and we both made it. It was traumatizing to say the least and im so thankful we didnt experoence the undertow Ive heard so much about. As traumatizing as it was, I plan on returning, but staying only where river rocks are visible to tbe nakedness eye. Beware going too far be ause it gets deep real fast. Besides that incident, we had a fun time. Be ssfe.

I've hear stories about the bathrooms being unkempt, dark and creepy. Even swamp like. So you may need to figure that out. Other than that it's a nice place for fishing, swimming and enjoying a day in nature.

Even though there were a lot of people there, it was really relaxing just to walk around in my own little world. There was a nice breeze blowing this morning, so it felt really good just to get out of the house walk past the dog park. It was super cute, I just had a nice relaxing morning walking around seeing the sites and people watching. I totally need to do this more after I get my nails done.

We love to bring our kids here to explore, ride bikes & feed the ducks & geese (we bought a 50lb bag of cracked corn from Tractor Supply for like $18 & keep it in the back of our van.) They are super friendly & will eat out of our kids hands. We accidentally came here yesterday during the Water Lantern Festival & it was insane how many people & food trucks were there. *Tip If you plan on coming for than a few time during the year but the annual parking pass from the electronic kiosks around the park for $50 (it's good for parking at all city parks & The Fresno Zoo as well but it's only good for one cars license plate.

When we arrived, the motor ran poorly, the seats were ripped, there was mold throughout the boat, wasn't cleaned when we got it there was beer bottle caps, there was no radio, and the speed was governed, which made the experience even more frustrating. For $1,000, this rental was absolutely not worth the price. This was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration, but instead the condition and performance of the boat completely took away from the experience. We noticed nicer boats they owned but when asked how we could get the nicer one they said just depends on what's available so you have a 30% chance of getting a nice boat since there was a like 3 nicer boats. We did rent jet skis which were very fun so I'd rent those again but most definitely never the boat. We left feeling misled and disappointed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company based on our experience.

It's definitely not what I would call a…read more'park,' but it does have some picnic tables and there is parking at the very end of Palm if you cross over Nees so that you can leave your car and not feel that your are infringing on someone's office parking. There is a view of the San Joaquin River that is quite pleasant, and if you try really hard, you can almost pretend you are out in the country rather than right underneath a multistory business complex. I've actually seen cottontail rabbits in the shrubs.

Over the years he's…read morementioned it but we never got around to it until yesterday since we were close to the area, looking for something to do with our kiddos and the weather was surprisingly AMAZING especially it being the end of June. It's Sunday we arrived at 2pm, parking is free as well as admission! My husband asked if I had quarters he said he remembered you can buy the fish food with quarters! To our surprise the feed was free! It was in a closed wooden container. They have signage of asking people to only take a handful as a courtesy to others. There's also other signs that say to not touch the water or fishes and not to feed the little fishes. My family and I had a great time the kids LOVED seeing the fish eat as they fed them and quite relaxing watching them swim. We were there for about 30mins. They had a Hatchery Building and it showed the baby fishes. They have educational boards you can read about the fishes and habitat. Restrooms open but the women's sink wasn't working at that time and no soap. Overall for a free experience it was great! Will recommend and would come back!

I don't believe overnight camping is allowed, but you can book one of their grilling and table areas for your party. The lake itself is small and only allows "earth boats" on the water. I have no idea what an earth boat is, maybe it's just a hollowed out log? There is a "beach" area for swimming and suntanning, but the water sadly had a lot of trash in it and wasn't very inviting, even with the 100'+ temps during our visit. This lake/park area has two jungle gym play areas for the kiddos and a few older soccer goals with no nets. The cost is only $5 to enter and $40 for an annual pass. Currently, they're open until 10pm for the summer, but close at 7pm starting on October 1st for the winter season.
