Very thankful to have received free tickets for taco throwdown entrance! This was my 3rd time attending to this event. Check-in was quick but for some reason the wand was beeping on me and had nothing on me, in which the staff kept waving the wand up and down. There was about 24 taco trucks I believe. Plus the micheladas and salsa contest. I was only able to try 2 trucks which the first one taco macho was 10/10 worth the wait. You have to have a plan to try and taste as many taco trucks that you can because the lines are huge. I tried to micheladas and they were both good, a bit watered down but good. The performances were good as they portrayed all generations! One thing that I was upset about was the women bathrooms....I know when people drink they may get tipsy and using the bathroom a lot but these stalls were terrible. I feel bad for the staff that had to clean them. I'm glad Fresno continues to do events like this though! read more

Recently attended Taco Truck Throw Down! My thoughts on the park- I first have to start with saying the park really was on top of security. We were all wanded with a metal detector and they had a clear bag policy. The event was held on the field and they put down flooring on top of the field which was really nice. The concert stage was located in center field and trucks were positions around the perimeter of the field. The bathrooms could definitely use more attention throughout the event but overall they weren't the worst. My thoughts on the event- Honestly it's a great concept. Lots of tacos and some friendly competition. You do need to wear comfy shoes and prepare to wait in some very long lines. I will say some of the competitors handled their lines very swiftly. I don't think you could hit every truck even if you tried just because of the wait times. There was one truck in particular that was trying to trade votes for entry into a raffle which was entirely ridiculous in my opinion. I do have to mention Harry's Mex Grill as being my absolute favorite of the 7 trucks I tried. They earned my vote and I can't wait to find them out at other event! Overall, I think this is an event everyone has to try once! I highly recommend purchasing the VIP tickets because they're a great value. Overall, a huge shoutout to Chukchansi park and Fresno street eats for putting on a huge community event year after year! read more

Had a fantastic time at the Taco Throwdown 14! With so many people attending this event, it was pretty organized. Staff check-in attendees pretty quickly and efficiently. *also please don't bring your tri-pod or had held recorder like go-pros. They will not let you in with it. There were a lot of participating taco truck this year 2025. Lines do get long for each taco truck, because there are so many people there. They made it easy for you to vote for your favorite taco truck with a scannable QR code for each truck. Above the arena where you can walk around, they have multiple vendors selling merchandise, goods, cigar, beers etc. The ladies restroom could get a little more attention since they are heavily used. Often times with little to no toilet paper. Overall, I thought the experience was super fun. I got to try 8 different taco trucks by the end of the night and saw Baby Bash and E40 at this event. read more

If you're not taking advantage of this awesome little minor-league baseball park in our own backyard, you're missing out! I took the family here for a Bluey meet and greet and to watch the Fresno Grizzlies opening weekend games. My son loved Bluey and my daughter almost had a panic attack, but it was totally worth it. lol. Chukchansi Park is pretty solid for a minor league park. They have all the baseball food and beverage classics along with an area for food trucks to park and sell their goods. I love that there's an opportunity for small and local businesses to get in on the baseball crowd action. This is my kids first time at Chukchansi Park so I purchased the cheapest seats possible ($5 each) just in case they wanted to leave within the first 20-minutes of the game. We ended up staying in the covered Jalisco outdoor bar area with a perfect view of left field and the visiting teams warm-up pitching area. The game was a little slow, but my kids still had a good time. My one issue were the long lines everywhere! I feel like they might have understaffed the park, possibly expecting a smaller turnout on a Sunday afternoon. The place was packed because, duh, Bluey was there so you'd think they'd be ready for a large swath of families descending on the park. Beyond that one issue, I will definitely be back with the family, but will most likely buy better seats. This is my second time attending taco truck throw down at Chukchansi Park. As usual, it was packed and crowded with people that want to eat tacos, have some beers or mixed drinks, enjoy live music or just hang out and enjoy the vibes. This event is as crowded as I've seen Chukchansi Park, long lines for alcohol, long lines for girls to use the restrooms, long lines for taco trucks and almost the entire field and good portion of the stands covered with people. It's still enjoyable if you go with a solid group and have patience. E-40 was the headliner and that's mainly what I went for. I love tacos but usually wait for the top 3 event winners are and try their tacos on a regular day without the long lines and crowd. What a wonderful event! Thanks to Yelp CM Nate, we all got GA tickets for the Taco Truck Throwdown 14. People were friendly and were giving away their taco vouchers. There was so many trucks to choose from we just chose roulette style. We somehow managed to get into VIP Area of concert and danced the night away when E40 came out. It ended right at midnight and all the stadium lights were on. Same goes for most places, they turn on all the lights to have people scatter home. There were a bunch of bacon wrapped hotdog stands all around waiting for people to want something besides tacos lol read more

One of my favorite places in Fresno! Chukchansi Park is always a vibe. Whether you're there for baseball, fireworks, or just to hang with friends, it's the perfect spot for a summer night. The views are great, parking is easy, and the energy is always fun (even if the crowd isn't as packed as it used to be). The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the setup makes it easy to grab food, drinks, and still catch the game. Now if we could just bring back Thirsty Thursdays... I took my bf with me and went with the gang. lol we had soooo much fun that night!! Even got to go to the VIP Section where we got to be closer to E-40!!! Sadly we only got to visit one taco truck because everywhere the lines was soooo busy! Tacos Tepa was the truck and I was not disappointed! The asada tasted good and the adobada. I drenched mine in sauce cus I love hot sauce! We got to sit on the bleachers and enjoy the food and the performances. Then after walked around and ran into a bunch of friends. The restrooms were disgusting. Needed refills on toilet paper and also I saw a red lip print on the ground like some one kissed the restroom stall floor! Fuckin sick!!! The park was really clean. Parking was easy, the parking spaces were of good size. Our cars were not all squeezed together. The parking lot was well lit. It was super easy to pick up my tickets from Will Call. Every employee I came in contact with was super nice and smiling. The night we went the park it was not really busy so it made for an even better experience, plenty of walking space. We had a private area in the Cantina, which is really nice and provided some great shade and misters. Once we ate, we went to our seats and enjoyed the game. There are several parking lots surrounding the stadium, the parking we found was right across the stadium entrance and cost $10- not bad :) The tenders were mediocre, but the garlic fries were delicious! A must have item when I go to the park! There are beers on tap --805, and cocktail I had were delicious! There is no bad view in Chuckchansi Park!!! A great baseball stadium to go in Fresno. The only poor experience is, the women's bathrooms needed attention. Several stalls had no toilet paper.... And this was near opening. read more

Chukchansi Park in Downtown Fresno is Home of the Fresno Grizzlies and is the place to be on Friday!! Not only is this a great venue but on Friday games they have fireworks after the game and it is a good show that lasts about 10 minutes! Tonight they also had food trucks in left field on the Concourse and amusements in the right field Concourse. The other area is the Kodiak Club that has a full buffet of variety of food that changes every game and of course hot dogs and condiments and chili. I'm a major fan of minor league baseball. This stadium was fantastic and very family friendly. I loved the announcer's humorous heckling and the whimsy of getting my beer in a souvenir bat ($25). Went to the park for my husbands company party it was ok the food they had was catered by them, they had to tip and shredded beef meat both were cold the only thing that was good was the potato salad, they had cookies of ALL varieties but ALL the cookies had some kind of nut which I was allergic to so couldn't eat that. What a cool minor league ballpark! In town, I just had to catch the local team. There's plenty of parking near the stadium, but I don't the rates as I parked a couple blocks away for free. I purchased my ticket at their box office window. Prices are better than what I saw online. For the game I saw, the stadium wasn't very full. Grabbing something to eat or drink was fairly quick. Some lines face the field so won't even miss a pitch! Great friendly local fans. Staff too were pretty cool. I liked this place so much, I caught a second game! read more

What a great day at Chuckchansi Park!! Game started at 11:05 AM & two for Tuesday. Purchased our tickets at the stadium. When looking at a couple of the websites to purchase tickets there was over $30.00 in additional $$$ - be careful on any site to purchase anything !!! Being that it was a week day, early game the stadium wasn't too full. The young man in cape who goes around with the microphone & camera guy who gets all the activities on the field is AWESOME!!! There is a Kids Splash Zone area (it gets in the 100's here most of summer) so it makes it nice to cool down a bit. In the far outfield up on a little hill there is a swimming pool they rent out. I came To Chuckchansi Park on 07/05/19 for the very first time with my boyfriend as I was gifted two tickets for a Grizzlez Game. Born and raised in Fresno I never been so it was exciting to go. We arrived a little late as we opted to dine at HoP PK before the event. Upon arrival we checked in at the gates and hit up some of the stands in which they had one for just ALMONDS. I love almonds! The people there gave me a bunch of samples as I probably screamed almond lover all over my face! The boyfriend bought 3 bags of Almonds for me as I picked Raw Almonds, Cinnamon, and Sea Salt. As we went on they have a cool looking bar which looked appealing! However, we opted for Dip N Dots which was delicious. This was a whole new experience which was awesome! I can definitely cross off my list of going to this stadium and watching the Grizzlez play. Unfortunately they lost 0 to like 10 or something like that however the crowd was still in tune with the music and shouting along with music. It was a good time. They had a fireworks show afterwards and it was very lovely to watch them with my love. If you know me fire works scare me but it was contained hopefully by professionals which eased my mind a little. Fresno is coming up and it was lovely to spend time in the area. Oh what an awesome place to take your family. Great ticket prices. They offer deals for big groups. We went with a big group and got a hat included which was a nicely designed one, we also got a voucher for a hotdog, Chips and a 12 oz soda. Beer is very affordable at 5 -7 bucks. They have a lot of variety on food. But you got to love a good taco truck. I ate at the El Mexicano food truck. They won last years taco truck throw down, and I can see why. The tacos are very flavorful. They don't skimp on the meat either. I also like the promotion team. They're always coming up with fun themes and the MCs keep the crowds entertained. This a great baseball stadium easy $7 parking right across the street. Easy to find seats (section 121 $20) and great sight line right off 1st base. Went towards the end of covid so the seats were still socially distanced but we could take our mask off at the seats. The stadium had a nice breeze and it helped it was about 84 degrees. Perfect baseball watching. Again since it was covid only a few concessions were open but you could still get beer, popcorn, and hot dog. read more

Really nice triple A ball park. I love how family oriented it is. There's a grassy area where you can sit to view the games and also a playground area for the kids. The food here is excellent and reasonably priced. I love the set up of the walkway with all the food vendors. Theres also the social area, which is a bar area where you can see the game as well. Maybe ots a good place for only baseball games but for concert the place isnt. the security was awful for the tack throw back event. Security werent friendly. And some were still in training . Fresno is really lucky to have such a great stadium in town. Though the season begins when it's warm and mostly runs while it's HOT outside, it's a pleasant place to go and spend a couple of hours to watch a game. It's clean, I enjoy the views of downtown, and they work hard on marketing and audience participation here. Driving up can be a bit of a pain but there are plenty of parking spots, usually for $5-10 - or you can park on the street or at a nearby lot and walk over. Now that downtown is bustling with some great breweries I think I'll be taking that option more often in the new season. The vendors can be hit and miss, the food is decent overall but on busy nights, particularly opening nights, I've had bad experiences of waiting in line for 30 minutes then getting to the front to find they don't have any hot dogs and they're waiting for them to cook. So communication there can definitely use some work. When it's quiet, though, I've usually found the service to be pretty friendly, particularly at the drinks vendors towards the back of the stadium. There are some good promos on different nights, Taco Tuesdays are good for cheap food and there are some ticket deals on some nights too. If you're willing to pay extra to sit in the club seating upstairs, it's fun to treat yourself to the premium experience, too. The Fresno Football Club is also in town now - I'll update this review once I've been to a game. read more

Easily the nicest event venue Fresno has ever had. It's a shame Fresno doesn't come out and support it's Triple A team. The Grizzlies aren't that bad, guys... If you go to their website, you'll see that they're practically GIVING these tickets away. Literally, on certain days of the week they GIVE you FREE hot dogs, sodas, tickets to The Island Water Park, etc... No joke, it's much, much cheaper to go to a Grizzlies game than to a movie. I'm glad that baseball season has started again... Thirsty Thursdays are back, though they shortened it to end by 5th inning this year instead of 7th because of Fresno's notorious drunks abusing decent alcohol prices. I know a lot of people whine about nothing to do in Fresno (it's true for the most part) but then to see the stands half-empty here is a shame. Here is Fresno GIVING you something to do, and where the hell are you guys?! Watching "Harry Potter vs. Predator in IMAX 3D" or some stupid shit, I bet. Oh well, Thirsty Thursdays brings a huge college-aged crowd, so if you don't like baseball, think of it as a sports bar that charges a $7 cover and has $1 Tecates until 5th inning (approx. an hour and a half into the game) and there you go. read more

I've been to this park a couple times to watch the Grizzles games. One of those times was July 4th and the game was followed by a spectacular fireworks show. I highly recommend considering this as an option for your Independence Day celebrations. The park is newer and there really isn't. Bad view. Seats are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. The weather also always seems to be amazing the nights I chose to go see games here. I guess my only complaint is the food. It's pretty bland stadium fare. Nachos, hot dogs, burgers. There's a bbq place my bf and his dad enjoyed but I have not tried it. If like to go back when they have food trucks there. If there was better food available I would have given this a five star rating. read more

We had such fun visiting for the first time at Chukchansi Park on championship ring night on Saturday. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the park and the people here were so incredibly nice and hospitable. The more times we visit Fresno, the more we like the people here, they are so nice and courteous. The game was so cool, the Grizzlies won! The stadium was beautiful and our seats were for behind the dugout! We had a great view and a great time. The only reason I didn't give the park 5 stars was because of the concession stands. The service was so incredibly slow. It was really packed but each stand had such long lines and after we waiting for about 20 minutes for a pretzel, line still had not moved. I already had my tacos from the Taco truck and poor hubby still hasn't moved so we got out of the line. The Philly cheese steak and chicken tacos were great!!! Great park games are great. However eat before you go to a game lines are ridiculous for food. I have no idea why they take so long. I was in line for food for an hour and 20 minutes. With still no food. Finally got out of line so I could see the rest of the game. So many people could be heard saying they missed the whole game when they got in line during the first inning and didn't get food till the bottom of the eighth inning. I went to a few games before Covid and never had an issue now in 2022. The lines to all concession stands were crazy long. read more

Absolutely LOVE games at Chukchansi Park. For the first time I bought a ten pack of Cru Club tickets through the Ticket Manager. I received amazing treatment and many of the perks that came with a season ticket or 10 pack program. I parked easily across the street, came in immediately through the Cru Club entrrance and spent great nights with friends every Thursday game. Fresno Grizzlies staff bent over backwards to accomodate and when you miss a game you are allowed to trade it in for another. I look forward to doing this again in 2014. Additionally, my sister bought a four pack for her family and son on field level next to the dugout for the low price of $14 a ticket. For that, my nephew was able to meet the players, catch numerous balls from now San Francisco Giants players and had a sense of family each Monday Night at the park. I had an amazing time and it made me appreciate Fresno and the fact that we have a AAA Baseball team in our city. I would recommend always getting tickets early so you'll never have to wait in line and the earlier you get there the better chance to avoid any lines and settling in for a great game. One of the best moments this year was during a rain delay and wine the rain stopped the players and fans were treated to watching The Sandlot on the big screen. It was great! Players were laughing. I have lived in Fresno for few months now. Last week was the second time I attended a Grizzlies game at he stadium. Although the heat was beastly (102), but the seats are placed in a way that you always have a shade, Other best thing is that you will see ample helpful staff, tons of food to choose from, cold drinks and ice cream, something going on (besides the game) for all members of the family. The game itself was a good competition and now I will wait for tomorrow Fourth of July the fireworks as I have heard that they are pretty extra ordinary. read more
