They have the best paraunthas which are served fresh and piping hot, with yogurt, dollops of butter and pickle. Gobhi ones are my favorite and I always get these but my family loves the aloo paraunthas as well. They are a family run establishment and so courteous and kind in their service. For the price, the meal is of absolute gold value. I hope to keep coming back here every time I am in Fresno.

He said it would be ready in 45 min, Time is Already here! Arrived! Small line. Moved quick. Let worker know and he went to get it. Paid for it and handed over. It's in a Huge Indian grocery store! Safe and clean. Plenty of tables and seating set up. Lunchtime! Order split. Samosa was HUGE & DELICIOUS! Lots of flavor! Even better with the sauces included. Green one had a GREAT spicy flavor!! Jerra Rice was tasty! Onion Parantha was fresh and tasty! Kadai Chicken was different, but really GREAT! Lots of flavor and nice change with the yogurt added! Mother said hers was Really GREAT!! All of it! Lots of leftovers too!! Good service & GREAT lunches! Highly recommended!!

The standout for us was definitely the chole bhature--perfectly spiced, rich, and paired with soft, fluffy bhature that just melted in your mouth. The nutri kulcha was another highlight, packed with flavor and cooked just right. To top it off, the masala soda was refreshingly tangy and a great complement to the meal. And don't miss the fish pakore--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Overall, Chatore delivers a fantastic dining experience with truly delicious food. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!

First time I've ever ran to Yelp to review!…read more First point and most important... WHY is everyone talking about the prices? Not only is this on par for Indian food. It's a lot more affordable than other restaurants. $5 for three Samosas? That's a killer appetizer for cheap! And they're good--some places put way too much seasoning on the outside. The menu: A lot more variety, and compared to other Indian restaurants the menu is easy to navigate and very Anglicized for newcomers to Indian food. The food: I accidentally ordered the wrong sandwich(I had seen the tikka roll on Yelps ig) and I got the tandoori sandwich but I am not complaining that was amazing and I didn't even know it came with fries. Butter chicken was medium and it was perfectly creamy, slightly spicy, soooo much sauce which is perfect because I dipped my sandwich AND samosas in there. I am so stuffed and I have food left for days(which is great bc if I love anything more than Indians food it's cold Indian leftover straight from the fridge) The service was great, young girl at the front was so sweet and helpful when I said it was my first time. Worth spending my money here at a family owned restaurant that serves up awesome food in a clean and open space--a must try!

The entire restaurant and bar were clean including trash cans wall decor, floors and the bar. Everything was stocked, labels facing forward in order ready for service. Our server at the bar was Melinda. Melinda greeted us and made excellent recommendations to our tastes. Order: Mojito with tequila blanco delicious, bright, a good pour and refreshing! Nimbu Drop: Grey goose vodka, fresh lemon, sweet n sour, house spice, a splash of sprite, and finished with house spiced rum. Timing of receiving order::: Melinda's service was fast and efficient. We ordered a variety of dishes (the best way to do Indian food): chicken biryani, lamb korma, chana masala, chili fish, and several flatbreads including garlic naan, rosemary naan, and bhatura. Everything was beautifully plated and full of flavor. The curries were rich and well-balanced with just the right amount of spice, and the flatbreads were fresh and flaky. Standouts were the rosemary naan for its aroma, the chili fish with a sweet-and-sour style sauce, and the chicken biryani rice, which was incredibly flavorful and better than standard white rice. Don't skip the mango lassi--it's like a mango smoothie and perfect after spicy food. We also tried gulab jamun for dessert, which was a great way to finish the meal. Great food, great service, and they also offer hookah. Definitely worth checking out.

The folks who run this place seem to really care about the quality of the food and the experience the guests have. Unlike our first visit on Valentine's Day which was very busy, we came back on a weekend evening this fall, and there were only a couple other diners. It seems like "the new normal" is that most business for these mom-and-pop type restaurants appears to be by Doordash, Grubhub, UberEats -- even if they're making plenty of sales, very few people come in and sit down. It's odd. You can no longer judge how good a restaurant will be by how many people are seating having dinner on a Saturday night. But despite not very many people dining in, it's a comfortable, welcoming, clean space. Everything was still fresh, delicious, and very similar to last time, EXCEPT: The main update I wanted to give is that the little "glitches" I noticed when the place was brand new are all gone now. This is just as I expected, but I wanted to let Yelpers know this. So yes, this time the got everything we ordered, we got sauces with the appetizer, and we were given full-size dinner plates. Love those black lentils. Everyone: go eat them!
