Toro topiary is a massive plant based public art piece that sits in front of a Saint Mathews…read morecommunity of Lousiville eatery. A topiary of a bull or a toro is what Thai piece is. Very cool and fun photo op and you really don't see much topiary in the city of Lousiville. So it's nice and unique to come across this one. Overall we enjoyed finding this work. I'm sure it's a big photo op for patrons of the establishment and walker by such as we were on the evening we seen this plant based bull.

Mural located on the outside of popular eatery complex colonial gardens brag pats tribute tot he…read morecurrent gardens and past history located in the Iroquois Neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky. Over the years colonial gardens has been several things. At one point it was a small zoo that got a special shout-out from rock king Elvis Presley, it was a tan down apartment complex for years and most recently it has been regentrified into a cool food scene that has about 4-5 bars/restaurants that share a patio creating the colonial gardens. The mural itself features the name and the original iconic white building that has been standing on the property through all of its different face lifts. Overall solid and cool tribute to the colonial gardens and a nice piece to the fun and new atmosphere that exists here.

The mural by artist Robert Leo Jones is Larry of a massive public art project spanning all through downtown Lousiville called "alley gallery" where different artist paint different murals on side and read doors of businesses and garages throughout the city of Louisville. Overall this is a nice piece of a woman face. I'm not sure if the name Jennifer is of personal relationships for the artist or an homage to popular actress and Lousiville native Jennifer Lawrence. But either way it is really well done. Overall cool piece and I love how the alley gallery brings life and color to random spots throughout the city. Cool mural and idea.

Several business have these uniquely painted horses in front of business and commercial properties. This specific one is located in the Saint Mathews portion of the city. Pretty basic with a mainly white canvas it is one of the less colorful ones in the city. Overall these are always fun and interesting to check out. There are way too many in this city of me to count but I do like to make an effort to stop and appreciate them if I stumble across one.

Statue of the king of rock and roll that sits on the patio of a popular Iroquois neighborhood of…read moreLousiville bar/restaurant scene called colonial gardens. Colonial gardens is a small area with about 4 business that fit in a bar/restaurant theme that shares an outside patio. That patio has some interesting decor ranging from some zoo animals (area use to be a zoo), and this Elvis statue. So why Elvis? Elvis wrote in a book about one of his favorite child hood memories with his grandma was visiting a small little zoo in Lousiville. That zoo was in fact colonial gardens. So overall a very cool and unique honor to a music icon that actually has a small bit of unknown louisvilel history attached to it. The statue itself makes for a fun photo op to all people And fans of the king. I mean who isn't familiar with Elvis? 50 plus years past his hey day and even my 7 year old likes and is familiar with his music.

Very large but simple art mural at the entrance of the Shelby park neighborhood at the corner of…read morewoodbine and Jackson street. Me and my friend and fellow yelper Jeremy J was actually on our way for a planned day of trying out some spots in the Shelby park neighborhood and the Nulu neighborhoods and we drove by this one completely on accident. Wasn't on our list of things to check out. So we pulled over and took some photographs. Looks like it consists of kids playing and has the Shelby park name on it. I did not see an artist name or anything but the artists did a nice job. Overall cool and accidental find on our fun filled afternoon. Glad we came across it so we can share with the rest of the yelp community.
