Statue of the king of rock and roll that sits on the patio of a popular Iroquois neighborhood of Lousiville bar/restaurant scene called colonial gardens.
Colonial gardens is a small area with about 4 business that fit in a bar/restaurant theme that shares an outside patio. That patio has some interesting decor ranging from some zoo animals (area use to be a zoo), and this Elvis statue. So why Elvis? Elvis wrote in a book about one of his favorite child hood memories with his grandma was visiting a small little zoo in Lousiville. That zoo was in fact colonial gardens.
So overall a very cool and unique honor to a music icon that actually has a small bit of unknown louisvilel history attached to it. The statue itself makes for a fun photo op to all people And fans of the king. I mean who isn't familiar with Elvis? 50 plus years past his hey day and even my 7 year old likes and is familiar with his music. read more
