I love visiting small towns. My sister-in-law took all the girls on a mini-shopping excursion and the main destination was SOF Market. Similar to the Keepin' It Local shop that I recently reviewed, the SOF Market is located in I guess what you would consider the "downtown" of Leonardtown. This is a big building FULL of handmade goods and vendors in the local community. It's almost like a little maze. There are different walk-in doorless rooms with 2 floors with more things! This is like a real life Etsy pop-up. I saw all sorts of things from commercially made women's clothing, accessories, artwork and a whole lot of handmade items. I saw some beautiful shell art like oyster shells made into a tree shape, shells with painted interiors, stickers, soaps and SO MUCH! I also saw some vintage items also. Great place to get unique gift items. There is also an ice cream shop located in the back, as well as a new food vendor coming soon. That would be a great addition. That would give people somewhere to snack on something to take a break from all the browsing. My sister-in-law said that another food vendor had been located there, but they moved out and moved down the street. I picked up some candle wax from a vendor that was moving out. She was having a blowout sale to transition to online selling only. The scent is amazing and I can smell it as I am typing this. Definitely worth a stopping by and looking around! You never know what you will find! Stay safe, Friends!

I'm not exactly sure how to label this place. It's not a farmers market, it's not a flea market and it's not a consignment shop. It's a building that houses the products of a small group of vendors who use one cash register in the center of the building. As well there is a snack and coffee shop near the rear as well as access to a large fenced-in dining area out back that doubles as a beer garden and cornhole venue. The products for sale include crafts, some food items as well as clothing and novelties. Overall it's an interesting and diverting place to spend an hour or so.

What a great addition to Southern Maryland!! This market is a collection of local businesses and products right near Downtown Leonardtown. There are clothing boutiques, local baked goods, meats, and produce, and great gifts! There are so many options for shopping, from locally made candles and decorations to beautiful art and furniture. This is absolutely worth a stop and it is by far the most exciting new business around. There will also be a coffee bar and a beer garden coming soon, which will be so much fun. I encourage everyone to stop by here!

This place is so cool! A ton of local vendors, one of a kind gifts and very warm and comfy hats! I've purchased 4 from 10-4 and almost left with another one yesterday!

The stickers in question (I thought they were pretty funny but I figured it'd be weird to buy them with my little cousin there)

Wow - Frosty. I've never been into a boutique type shop…read morelike this and not been greeted, much less actively ignored, by 3 employees. 1 guy and 2 women. Normally, places like this that sell extremely non-essential home decorating objects seem to make a point of being friendly to induce you to buy something. Not these guys. Too bad. It would be a nice place to buy thing for your home or gifts for others. The trinkets and potpourri were artfully displayed. Smells great. Cute scarves. I don't know if it's because I pulled up in a truck? (which would, by the way, rule out half the people around here) or because I was just wearing jeans (guess they don't recognize $250 jeans from the Denim Bar) - and they assumed I didn't have money to spend? No clue. I wouldn't have considered it overpriced at first - but after the passive-aggressive treatment, you don't want to give your money to people who are rude and condescending to you - so $29 starts to seem too much to pay for a coaster set or olive tray and bad customer service.

The girls that work there are super fun, funny, knowledgeable people who love chatting with anyone who walks in the doors. You can tell this is the kind of place where regulars stop just to chat and check up on what's new. Besides the customer service being great, they have anything you could ever need - ANYTHING - in super unique stuff that everyone I've gifted to has loved, and there's a price point for every budget. I never leave empty-handed, and I'm always happy with my purchase. Word on the street is they do design services too, and from the store displays, you can totally tell! Everything is beautiful, seasonal, fresh, and new, so maybe design is next on my list from them. All in all, the BEST find in Southern Maryland. Will be back again surely... Probably this week. :)

I have to poop now!". I start to look for a bathroom or a employee. Walking around, Jeffy still crying to use the bathroom, I start to call out "excuse me" "hello" "excuse me, is there a employee that can help me". After about a full 60 seconds of calling for help, a male employee (that clearly tried to dodge me seconds prior) walks out of an aisle and says "you know, your just rude" (while holding a cell phone to his ear) Me: Excuse me! My son has to use the bathroom and that was pretty rude of you! Family Dollar Employee: No your rude. We dont have a bathroom and you can get out of this store. Naturally, I got pissed and said a few select words and walked out, leaving a full cart. The employee walked out the store to continue arguing with me as I'm trying to get away from him and get to the Food Lion bathroom. I get to the bathroom with the kids and notice my kids are still holding their toys from Family Dollar. ‍ After Jeffy finished we went back to put the toys back. The employee, of course made sure to come tell me I needed to leave the store again. I assured him I was just returning toys I didn't know my kids had and that I didn't want to shop in that store ever again. After I left and put the kids in the car the man ran back outside waving me over to him. I hopped out the car to find out what he wanted and he asked me if I wanted to come back in and buy my stuff. I said, absolutely not and explained once again that my son had to use the bathroom and that he was way out of line. That made him mad all over again. Never again will I set foot in that store.

So, we went over to get her picture with Santa. Santa was great, jolly, happy and very pleasant! As we were walking to the car, the Grinch came out of the store. she wanted to get her picture with him as well! This came as a surprise because she has always been leary of him. She's 11 and on the autism spectrum. He tricked her with a fake handshake, which made her laugh. He looked disgusted when I asked him where his Christmas spirit was and then posed for a picture with us. After the picture, he extended his hand, have her a shake and the twirled her with a dance! She's laughed and giggled and couldn't wait to call her best friend to tell her! Thank you Santa, Mr. Grinch and Tractor Supply for spreading Christmas cheer.....Job Well Done!!

For 10 days I had 14k floating around and nobody could locate it. I called the Hollywood store 3 times - no answer. I left 2 messages asking for a return call. No call. Finally, I spoke with a very helpful team member named Dennis via his cell phone and explained the situation. He said that he would personally call the store Mgr. and ask him to call me. He said that I should expect a call within 20 min. No Call! I verified with Dennis that he had spoken with the Mgr. This store management doesn't give a damn about a 14K sale nor do they care about a customer with 14k missing. The store was never able to complete the sale. I was able to complete the transaction thru the TSC 800 #. I am having it delivered to the Huntingtown store - it's worth the drive.
