I recently joined a book club and they have monthly meetings here. Actually, Troubadour hosts a bunch of book clubs so you should check that out. You can check their website and also sign up for their newsletter to get all the info. The bookstore is clean, bright, friendly, and well organized. I don't find many bookstores that have a horror section so I was glad to see they had one. Service is great and the selection of overall items is good too. Big plus for having good parking!

Price points were fair and seemed to have something for anyone. We will definitely be making this our number one bookstore. The manager was knowledgeable and personable. He was also friendly and obviously enjoys books. I was able to find a unique gift for a friend. I look forward to receiving emails about coming events the Troubadour will be offering our community.

Random gem in the middle of nowhere, and it's amazing!…read more Went on a Saturday morning to look and the sheer number of books was phenomenal. There were so many genres and so many authors! My favorite part of it was looking at the old books that had beautiful bindings and leather covers. They have great prices for the books that you get and some of the titles there were relatively recent. Because they are used books I wouldn't expect any new releases to be there but you could find some great classics at a great price! The organization is a little bit confusing, but if you look up, there are a ton of signs everywhere directing you to each genre and certain authors. The service was super great as well, and we were welcome as soon as we walked in by multiple employees. Will definitely be bringing my cousin and boyfriend back eventually as it has some great items.

What used to be just a side collection of all the music that was available throughout the store has now become one of the better record shops in Charlotte. They have a great selection. I like that they've added a separate entrance at the back because it makes it much easier just to go in the vault specifically without having to deal with the crowd in the rest of the sleepy poet. It is still connected to the Sleepy Poet, but if you are looking for a cool vinyl shopping experience, look no further. A few new vinyl's and a lot of used as well. There are also some separate rooms with collectables like comics and figurines... but the main focus is the records. They are sorted out by music genre and alphabetical. Staff here are super cool, just browse at your leasure and they are there to help if you are looking for something specific. Since I've embarked on my vinyl journey, I really like going to a brick and mortar store and leafing through collections to see what I may or may not find. I haven't gotten a good sense of pricing yet especially since I do a lot of eBay, but I do somewhat prefer the physical media vs streaming from the cloud. Something about album art, having to purposefully place the record on the player and place the needle is super nostalgic and the sound quality is unmatched.
