After a drive around The Lakes, with no specific destination, we stopped here for some pub food
It was a traditional rural pub setting, and quiet when we arrived.
The menu didn't offer anything out of the ordinary, and I opted for the Shepherds Burger with cheese, which was refreshingly nice. The beef was sourced locally, and the cheese was not the run of the mill cheddar that is often plonked on top. The beef was succulent and disitinctly fresh. The normal additions came with the burger, such as, chips, coleslaw, and a bit of salad. All tasted very nice.
Overall, the meal was very filling and tasty, but the price range exceeds the quality. Unfortunately, the selection of beverages is very limited. If you are nearby, then it is worth a visit. read more
