While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The owner responded to my request for a quote immediately, came out to my house, and by the…read morefollowing week, I had new 5 inch gutters to match my house with larger 3x4 downspouts and Gutter Glove gutter guards at the lowest of the quotes I had been given over the past month. He was responsive to my concerns re my previous gutters (mismatched colors, undersized downspouts, clogging, leaking, and continual upkeep). The owner saw that I needed a solution to an area where there was only one downspout for two levels of my roof, and added another downspout (one for upper; one for lower) and routed one downspout in another direction, per my request not to flood out my lower lying neighbor as previous). He was responsive to helping me attach loose pieces of vinyl on my siding and he had his crew even caulking and painting some trim for no extra charge to make sure my house is waterproof. When they came out to install everything, there were 8 men in the crew and the owner, and they were in and out, in 3 hours, with zero mess left behind. They even took a magnetic roller over my yard to make sure no loose nails were left. His crew made sure everything I wanted had been completed before leaving. They even did extras that I had never seen before like adding aluminium guards in particular areas like around the chimney to make sure the water is directed off the house. All in all, I'm very impressed! They definitely go above and beyond and there was no bill, until every last thing was done, and the owner returned and reinspected the job. When I gave the owner the payment, he went over each part of the gutter system to explain how it works and put in writing a workmanship guarantee of one year, and 20 years for parts. He told me to call if I wanted anything changed, since I had made a change to his original plan in one area. He was very flexible about telling me, if I wanted it to his original specs, just call and they'd change it. I'm excited about how beautiful my new functional gutters look on my home!! I'm continually admiring how pretty my house looks now. I can't wait until it rains!!

They quoted me $7,500 for the work. I knew it was worth $2,000. So I got them down to $3,000 because I wanted to get it over with. My installation day was tough. They didn't tell me the time of day when they were coming. After repeated calls they showed up at around 5:00 PM. The crew was friendly but unprofessional. The truck they used caused me an embarrassment to be in my driveway. Looked liked they picked it up out of the junk yard. The installation went way to fast and they didn't do any of the services in the contract. Didn't check gutter pitch, didn't clean the gutters, etc. They left a bad edge on two pieces in the front that cut my American Flag into shreds. I do love the product so I haven't complained. They are heavily promoted at Lowes but I would not use them unless you get a really low price. Again, the product is really good.

The salesman we had, I will admit, was a nice guy. He seemed personable and we connected well with him, but I had a meeting for work and he pressured my husband and I to sit down and just take five minutes to listen to his speech we figured sure... and reminded him we weren't interested in buying anything today, but we would hear what the cost was. This turned into a 15 to 20 minute sales pitch with increasing pressure to sign documents then and there that day in order to take advantage of a deal. Originally we were quoted at like $9000 but the deal of the day was going to be 7500. Then he comes up with some additional discount so if we sign right now it's now $6000. I had a meeting that I was already late for and the salesman said that we would be able to sign and have 3 days no commitment to decide to proceed or cancel. With all of the pressure and my need to end the conversation we decided to sign the document and talk about it later that night. Ultimately, we decided to hold off. We weren't ready to spend that amount of money. We called back and let them know. Then we started getting texts and calls about better offers and the final offer we got was $2400!!! After being quoted $9000. This tells me that this company is just after your money and is not giving transparent pricing. We felt so disrespected by the first quotes and felt like we were just being swindled from the beginning. The $2000 range was more what we initially expected anyway as a quote so this is probably closer to actual cost of this system, but we chose not to move forward with this company because of their shady pricing and high-pressure sales tactics.
