one of the only establishments open on july fourth, but service wasn't too slow and we only waited 25 mins for food. we tried the: - wings with honey sriracha sauce: the wings themselves had a lot of meat but kind of bland and tough - patty melt: huge 8oz patty that filled us up - skinny boy's melt: generous with the meat as well, but a tad too salty - homemade banana ice cream with whipped cream ($3.80): not what we expected, it was definitely more of blended frozen bananas (sorbet texture)

We ate not just once but twice at shenanigans in Sewanee. The spot is right on campus. There are several students working and it has a super fun atmosphere. I'm still thinking about these cookie sandwiches with cream inside that they were selling. They were incredible the first night we had Cheesesteak sandwiches the second night. We had pizza and salad. This is a nice casual spot. We didn't wait too long for food and there was friendly service.

Needed a place to eat on a Sunday night before a Caverns show and not much in the area was open. We found Shenanigans which had a cute and cozy atmosphere but was way too freezing inside to be cozy. Everyone eating there had their coats on. We ordered at the counter which took a little while because there were only two girls working the counter and dining area. I ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and husband the 8 oz. patty melt. Food arrived fresh and hot but husband's patty melt was definitely not 8 oz. Mine was good and I appreciated that they had gluten free buns. The sweet potato fries we ordered were labeled as shareable but I easily could have eaten them all myself. They were perfectly cooked, crispy waffle fries. There was a popcorn machine with a sign that it was free on it but it was empty.

Pizza took awhile to come out but was really good. All are Pick your toppings. It was a lovely evening on the patio. Staff is friendly.

The pizza was pretty good with an eclectic choice of topings. The fried pickles and dipping sauce didn't disappoint either. Beer on tap selection was delightful. The staff and servers were very nice and friendly, but it appears the place has a problem retaining them for some reason because the place had to close down due to lack of staff during the busiest time while a convention of cavers was in town with thousands of visitors. The other local restaurants were swamped. The decore is nice and appealing. There is seating indoors and outdoors. The indoors was shaded and dim. Music was low and one could easily have a conversation.

Great location, decent parking availability, love the outdoor seating options. Lots of menu options and yummy draft selections. Friend ordered the muffaletta and really liked the flavor just wished the cheese was more melty. I ordered the Italian sub and added turkey, the flavor was good but they forgot the cucumbers (no biggie). Even though they were not busy, our order sat at the bar top so long that the bottom half of my sandwich became soggy before they called out one of our order numbers to come get them. Overall seems like a cool place. My recommendation: come sit outside with a cold beer and enjoy the weather with friends. Go check on your order to make sure it isn't sitting there and hasn't been called out yet. They also get quite busy on the weekends in case you want to avoid large groups.

On my way from NYC to Texas and wanting to visit the Jack Daniels distillery, I stayed in the Monteagle (next town over). Given how late I arrived, this was one of the only places open, so I drove over to Sewanee. Even during the summer this place is a college hangout. I walked in and was immediately surrounded by students from the University of the South, which is nearby. Food and drinks seem dirt cheap. I ordered the shenanigans sub (10$) and some onion rings ($2.5; for some reason I got them half off). The onion rings were meh, but the sub was really good. Packed chockfull of meat. Only wish the sub was a little larger, but other than that great price to food ratio. would come again if I am ever in this area again.

We were promptly seated. The tables for 2 are a little smaller than they should be. I was worried I was going to knock over a drink. The Easter brunch menu was a pre fixed tasting menu that was prepaid through open table. It was absolutely outstanding! It started with deviled eggs and rolls with ground mustard and prosciutto. Delicious! Then out came a salad with beautiful butter lettuce and these fresh roasted carrots. Both were fantastic. Third course was these huge slices of lamb, potato's au gratin and gnocchi. Everything was made with the freshest ingredients. They did not miss a beat. Dessert was a citrus cake with the perfect butter cream frosting. I left there stuffed! I also enjoyed their Bloody Mary. It was spiced perfectly. I would definitely go back and would love ton try their dinner menu. This place is really a hidden gem tucked away on the mountain in Sewanee. We drove over an hour to come here and it was well worth it.

The restaurant is located behind the namesake lodge and has ample parking. They had a nice fireplace going on outside due to chilly weather. Inside was a super cozy southern vibe kind of a place. There were a lot of music memorabilia on the walls. The live music was really good. Randy Finchum kicked off the music and played original and sometimes hilarious songs. He made sure to crack a lot of jokes and stories between the songs. For food we tried fried pickles, fried okra, fried brussels sprouts, and sausage with onions and peppers. Yep...no sight of greens but man was everything delicious. Also, they have cheap beers available but only in bottles. If you're in the mood for some good southern food with a cozy funky vibe then checkout Smoke House.

She told me the Monster Burger. I ordered one, a combo, with a drink and fries. It was just under $14. I clearly said I was eating in. After waiting quite a while for my food, she hands me a bag of food. I reminded her I was dining in, so she put it on a tray. The "monster" burger was pitiful. Two thin, dried out pieces of meat, a couple of slices of nearly raw bacon, and a LOT of mayonnaise. I couldn't believe what a pitiful amount of fries were there. I took the burger back and asked for a fresh one. Told her the one they gave me looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the cooked bin for days. When I finally got the replacement, it was still two thin dried out pitiful pieces of meat. The bacon was cooked a little better but it had way too much mayonnaise. For less money I could've had a double quarter pounder combo at McDonald's, or a triple cheeseburger combo at Wendy's. At both those places it would've been hot juicy fresh meat, and at Wendy's lettuce, tomato and onion. I will not be going back to Hardee's, ever again. As far as "ambience", I go to the restroom to wash my hands after I had eaten. Apparently the towel bins were either broken or empty, so they had a roll of toilet paper sitting on top of one to use instead.

We stopped by on the way home from Nashville around 11:30 AM on a Monday. The drive thru was empty, so we popped in there. The Associate took our order with no issues and was friendly and welcoming. She continued to be this way when we got up to the window as well. Food only took a few minutes to get prepared and passed to us. We got a burger, ham and cheese, onion rings and a fry. All items were cooked and prepared per our order, and were hot! We were impressed honestly as usually there is always one thing off, but they did well here. Hardee's as a brand is getting a little expensive with our order pushing $20 for those (4) items. However, when the service goes like it did here and the food is hot and prepared well, we don't get as offended by the price. Overall, solid Hardee's location!
