From the moment you enter her office you get a sense of being at the epicenter of professionalism, calm, and compassion. Dr. Thomas's 31 years of being an endodontist, including eight years in the Navy and being deployed during Operation Iraq, has served her well. While in her company you get the feeling, you are the only patient on that day's schedule. There is no sense of rush as she extensively answers your questions and will allay any fear in a professional and assuring manner. She has the gift of blending compassion and even humor when needed. My only regret is she doesn't do general dentistry as I would look forward to becoming her first patient.

I'm from Russia and I had a long story with that tooth having a cyst and a lot of inflammation for 2 or 3 years. Russian dentists (although I went to expensive clinics) told me to extract the tooth. She is an amazing professional as well as a great amicable personality! Thank you, dr Thomas, again.

One of the most unprofessional dental practices I've ever encountered. I changed insurance…read moreproviders the first of the year and when I went to see the dentist, they recommended numerous procedures for me. Three of these procedures required prior approval, which I had informed them of at my first appointment. They assured me they would get the prior approvals for all three procedures and it was not a problem. I agreed to have the work done based on their assurance of obtaining the prior approvals that were needed. After each procedure, they showed me what my insurance would pay and what I was responsible for. I found out later that they showed me their full cost for the procedures and not the cost agreed to with my insurance company since they are in network, which makes those costs significantly lower. They then required that I pay the inflated out-of-pocket costs before the insurance payments were made to them. When the insurance claims came back three of the procedures were denied due to not obtaining prior approval. Meanwhile, they had over $2500 of my money which I should not have been required to pay due to their mistake. They have since been filing numerous appeals with my insurance company to no avail. The claims are repeatedly denied yet they continue to file appeals and refuse to refund any of my money. I filed a grievance with my insurance company, which apparently does not do a whole lot of good since even though they denied the claims, they still seem to be on the side of the dental office. They apparently have no authority to require the practice to refund any money. I advise you to avoid this dental office at all costs, since they seem to only care about getting as much money out of a person as they possibly can, then accept no responsibility for their costly mistakes. I have switched dental offices and will never give Winchester Dental Care the opportunity to rip me off again. Don't let them do the same to you!

I would not recommend this dental office based on my experience. When I asked about a fluoride treatment, the staff member couldn't explain what it was. " I think its a sealant" The cleaning itself was very brief, about seven minutes total and they were unable to floss my teeth, advising me to "just floss at home." When I later requested my records to transfer to my previous dentist, there was confusion between locations. I was told they were sent but when I called two days later I was told that I was not a patient at that location and she listed male patients with my last name... Im female and she probably shouldn't tell me that info. I called the correct location and was advised I may get a call back on her personal number because the phones were acting up and she wanted to throw them against the wall. Overall, the visit felt disorganized and unprofessional, and I chose to return to my previous provider.

I will start by saying the medical team I interacted with was amazing. They billed the wrong…read moreinsurance (one given to them last year, before I was even a patient), and I paid much more out of pocket than I should have. This was an administrative issue, but how it was handled is where I became frustrated. On March 26th, they said they would bill the correct insurance. I checked my insurance portal to make sure the claim was registered for 3 weeks, and never saw it populate. I reached back out on April 16th to check on the status because I didn't see it on the insurance side at all. In an email correspondence on April 16th, I was told that they billed the correct insurance on March 26th, but that she would resubmit it to make sure. Coincidentally, I finally saw the claim registered on the portal and then received the EOB in the mail on April 29th. I emailed them on the 29th to let them know that I received my copy of the EOB and asked for the timeline and process of getting a refund for the overpayment. I did not hear back. I emailed again on May 5th to follow up -- again, no reply. I called on May 6th, and as told, everything was still pending. I let the lady know that I am showing that payment was issued. She said their insurance person would review and call me back the next day. I waited all day, the next day, and again ... no call back. I called them at 1pm to follow up because I knew they closed soon, and was told the insurance person went to run an errand and would be back within an hour. I waited by the phone for 2 hours until their closing time to receive the phone call, and you guessed it ... no phone call again. It wasn't until I reached out to my dental insurance company to help with my money being held with no response from Tolley. I finally was able to get assistance and speak with a manager. There was little to no accountability, and I was told repeatedly that they ignored my requests for calls/emails because they had no information to share. Communication was the root of this issue and continued to perpetuate it throughout the past month. They continued to stand by their reasoning of not answering my emails/calls. I am disappointed as I changed my insurance specifically to become a patient here, and while the medical team was phenomenal, the front desk team and leadership of the practice is lacking basic customer service skills.

I visited Tolley Dental after a crown that had been done at another office came off. I saw Dr…read more Ayush Mathur, who explained that the crown did not fit my tooth properly. He said he could re-cement it, but that I would more than likely need a new crown in the future, which he also recommended. At the time, I told him I needed to focus on getting a crown for a different molar and asked that this one be re-cemented. Unfortunately, by Tuesday the crown had come off again. When I returned to the office, the dental assistant who helped me was friendly and explained that there had been a miscommunication. She told me the doctor had used temporary cement because permanent cement could not be used due to the poor fit of the crown. This was never explained to me during my initial visit. Had I known that temporary cement was being used and that the crown would likely come off again, I would have saved the money I spent on the re-cement and put it toward the new crown that I ended up needing anyway. To make matters worse, when I had the new crown done, I was quoted a price that I paid in full before the procedure. Later, I was billed nearly $600 more because I was told my insurance had not covered everything. I understand insurance estimates can change, but I relied on the amount I was quoted and paid. Being charged hundreds of dollars more afterward was extremely frustrating and unexpected. The dental assistant was kind and helpful, but the communication regarding both my treatment and the financial costs was very disappointing. Patients deserve clear explanations about their treatment options and accurate information about what they may be expected to pay. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Tolley Dental.
