I really like Dr. Grecko for my ortho appointments but the dentistry side seems to only want to make money. My fillings and dental work have not been anything amazing and I simply go here now due to my insurance. I will look elsewhere for cleanings if my dental insurance changes. read more

Dr. Gio has changed my life, prolonged my life, and made it possible for me to share a bed with my wife again. We will get to that in a minute.... I have been a patient of Dr. Gio for more than 18 years. He is gentle, thorough, and looks at the big picture. In the past, I just went in to the dentist for cleanings and exams. I have great teeth and only needed one filling done. However, he took the time and pointed out several things with the way my teeth come together that long term were causing me problems. He showed me the wear on all my teeth as well as the fractures, and erosion which really surprised me. I knew I was a grinder, but I never spent the time nor had all the effects ( sensitivity, recession, yellowing, and cracks) been pointed out to me. . He also showed me the pitting and yellowing on my teeth which was caused by too much soda and reflux. Arrrggh. I love soda, but he explained how bad that was for my enamel as well as my overall health. His Exam revealed that i might have SLEEP APNEA and I was blown away. How can a dentist tell that just by looking? Dr. Gio has taken many CE courses and has broadened his care to much more than just teeth. He showed me several things about myself that I was unaware of my tongue, the size of my mouth, how my teeth come together, the wear, the shape of my neck and a whole bunch more. Without a doubt, I was blown away. I always felt tire, overweight, found it difficult to exercise because I didn't have enough energy and was moody (so my wife and kids say). My wife would often nudge and push me at night, or worse yet, kick me out of the bedroom due to snoring. He ordered a sleep study which I did at home, and sure enough, I had moderate - severe apnea (I stop breathing at night for up to 60 seconds at a time many times a night). No wonder I'm tired all the time, I never get good sleep. His treatment was to make an oral sleep appliance called a somnodent which I wear every night. Wooooowwww!!! what a difference from the first night. I sleep better, feel better, have lost 50 pounds and more important, get to come back into the bedroom. Dr. Gio gently lead me down the right path. I was reluctant, resistant, and pessimistic about this whole thing. Looking back on it, I should have done this 30 years ago. What makes this story so profound is that Dr. Gio and I went to dental school together and graduated in the same class. As a dentist, a friend, and a patient, I highly recommend he and his practice. I have now incorporated treating and diagnosing sleep apnea as well into my practice recognizing it's importance. read more

I have had some bad experiences getting dental work in the past and I was blown away at how different this experience was from my previous ones. I am a redhead and we are notorious for being resistant to dental anesthetic; Dr. Garris was happy to take as long as was needed to get me numb prior to starting any work, there was absolutely no rush or pressure. I was a patient of Dr.Leskiv for several years. Before him, I had very few problems with my mouth. A few childhood cavities, but nothing else. Every appointment turned into several because all of the problems he claimed I had. Almost every appointment he insisted my gums needed to be checked. So the dental hygienist would run this numbers test on my gums . I thought it was a good idea the first time, but over and over seemed ridiculous. The last couple appointments he told me I had severe cavities on 6 of my lower teeth. I couldn't understand it, I brush and floss every day. Also, none of my teeth felt any sensitivit, which is usually associated with deep cavities. He started on the right side of my mouth. He drilled out so much of my teeth, I was in pain for months. I couldn't eat cold food without wincing in pain. I couldn't chew on the right side of my mouth. I was terrified to go back and go through the pain on the left side, so I quit going altogether. I changed dental practices and at my first appointment I warned them I had deep cavities on the lower left side of my mouth. They took X-rays and saw nothing. I got a regular cleaning and they said my teeth and gums were very healthy. I highly recommend you NEVER see Dr. Leskiv! read more

Office manager "Julie" was rude. Invisalign service and products they offer is poor! Save your money- go to a orthodontist who specialized in these type of services. This practice is trying to capitalize on service loops holes in the general dentistry industry. Lost thousands of dollars and had to go to REAL specialist to fix my concerns. I didn't have a regular dentist and thought I cracked my tooth. I got myself all worked up over it and the thought of going all weekend scared that my tooth was just going to split in half wasn't helping. First I called my mom's dentist. They couldn't fit me in until monday. So I looked in yellowbook and found Winchester Dental Group. I called them and explained my situation and they were able to fit me in this morning. When I got there, I didn't know what to expect. And let me just say I have extreme doctor/dentist anxiety. The lady at the front desk had me fill out my paperwork since I'd never been there before and then I waited. I got there early, so I had to wait for a while, but a very nice woman came out and checked on me and got me a bottle of water. It wasn't much longer after my appointment time that they took me back. The dental hygienist was extremely nice and took a look at my teeth and took xrays. I had to wait a little while for the dentist, but I expected that since they were doing me a favor by fitting me in last minute. The hygienist made sure to check on me often while I waited. I saw Dr. Gio and he was very nice and gentle when taking a look at my teeth. He did a few tests and told me my tooth wasn't cracked but that I probably just bruised a ligament around my tooth from grinding my teeth at night. He spoke with me about solutions for the tooth grinding and suggested I take some ibuprofen while my tooth was sore. I felt silly for freaking out about a bruised ligament, but I was mostly just glad my tooth wasn't cracked. In all, it was a positive experience and I would totally feel comfortable going back here for any other dental stuff. read more

Avoid at all costs. This is nothing but a sales pitch! I made a same day appointment as I could barely open my jaw. I showed up, did my paperwork as required. I went back to the room and had a nice hygienist. We started on my xrays, taking a new xray for a couple teeth at a time. I never received a full 360 X-ray, which I thought was dumb as I was experiencing jaw pain from I thought was wisdom teeth. Finally the dentist came in and spent not even 5 minutes with me. He said I need 8 cavities filled and two root canals. After they were done I was sat in a office waiting on Robbie to come and discuss my dental work. Even though I just spoke to the actual dentist. He shows up and explains that I need over 10,000 dollars worth of dental work including the 8 cavities, two root canals, and finally the last thing to be done was take my wisdom teeth. I spent longer in this meeting discussing finances than I did doing anything else. I was told not doing this stuff would result in severe long term health problems. I left that appointment feeling it was more of a sales pitch than about my oral health. I went to another dentist who took a new set of xrays ( including a 360 view) and determined my wisdom teeth were causing problems . They were taken out same day, and while I was there the dentist said I had one cavity and no root canals needed. This dentist was a lot more affordable and willing to work with payments. read more

On a dreary Saturday, I phoned Winchester Dental Group and described a painful and throbbing tooth and a lack of ability to eat. I was told to come in for treatment. They asked about my insurance over the phone and I informed them it was Delta Dental of California. The receptionist was clueless about obtaining my benefits information even though she copied my insurance card. Due to this incompetence, I waited in the dental chair for 30+ minutes and then was told I needed to return next week or pay $1,000+ out-of-pocket if I wanted the dentist to provide services. Dr. Kelly Richardson spent approximately 3 minutes with me and I never saw her again. I was babysat by Rob, the dental assistant for an hour or so as the receptionist struggled to determine my benefits. Ironically, Winchester Dental Group could not verify my benefits in time to treat me during my emergency, but they were savvy enough to submit a claim for payment. I will fight this claim since I never received a statement or other paperwork before I left the office. How can you submit a claim when you have not presented any documentation to the patient? In my years with Delta Dental of California, I have never left a dental office without paperwork about the procedures performed and how much would be billed. If it is not, it should be a legal requirement that a medical office must provide a statement or itemized list on the company letterhead making the patient aware of what they are being charged for and why. My guess is that this office did not provide paperwork listing procedures because they did not perform any other than an x-ray to determine my tooth is cracked. I am disputing this claim! I pleaded with Rob to ask Dr. Richardson to do something to alleviate my pain and discomfort. He said there was nothing to be done. I told him that I had rushed out to the office, filled out 20 pages of paperwork and now I was being kicked out in the same condition I was in when I entered the office. Rob insisted I could return next week, but I told him I was in PAIN TODAY and the office had wasted my time and gas. After being kicked out of the dental chair, I called my dental insurance from my cell and received my benefits information in five minutes. I put it on speakerphone and let the receptionist listen. She spent almost an hour and could not retrieve information. Then, she searched again using information I provided twice. Rob kicked me out of the dental chair and tried to make me return next week and Dr. Richardson refused to offer any relief for my pain. However, when the receptionist verified I had excellent benefits, Rob's demeanor changed and he tried to lure me back to the dental chair. Dr. Richardson spent three minutes with me and did not display an abundance of empathy when she questioned my benefits. I want a dentist working on me because they genuinely care about me as a person, not because they see dollar signs. It seems that the dentist and staff could not trust the Black woman who entered their office, presented an insurance card, driver's license, and assured them my benefits covered my procedures at 100%, so they denied me necessary services I desperately needed. My head, stomach and chest hurt from the degrading treatment. I cannot believe they were witless enough to think that I would allow them to jerk me around for another hour or so. As a minority in a professional field, I am familiar with discrimination and maltreatment. I contacted Dr. Gio Iuculano (who claimed to be the owner) and expressed my frustration with being mistreated at his office. He NEVER APOLOGIZED and stated he supported his staff's behaviors. He expressed no empathy or remorse for me as a patient in need of help or as a consumer who chose his office for services. He recommended that I seek dental services elsewhere, which proved my suspicions about discrimination. Personally, I do not understand why Delta Dental is allowing Dr. Richardson or Dr. Iuculano to represent Delta Dental. I have been a valued customer of Delta Dental for years. When I utilize a dentist listed at www.deltadentalins.com, I used to feel confident. It is dental offices such as this that sheds a negative light on Delta Dental. Of all of the medical professions, dentists are the most rude, disrespectful, uncaring, and unprofessional as I discovered with the next dentist who was even more money hungry than this group. They treat dentistry like a money-making racket. If you want to focus only on making money, you should have graduated from business school and went to Wall Street. It would be nice if dentists would learn bedside manners and respect the patient. Is it too much to ask a dentist to value a new patient and respect us as human beings rather than treat us as a means to pay a mortgage or office utility bill? read more

This is THE PREMIERE dental practice. Let me tell you. I tend to call this dental practice, "Beverly Hills (of Winchester)." OMG! From the moment that I walked into this dental practice (for the very first time)...I was totally blown away. Let me just say that this has been (by far) the most unique and BEST dental experience that I have ever had. From the staff down to the office decor. Just beautiful!! I had let years go by without seeing a dentist (before I found this dental group listed in my dental network). I previously had some negative experiences with dentists and I had grown scared (after hearing of some dental nightmares) of visting them. I used to get so many compliments on my teeth and my smile. It got to the point where my teeth were starting to fall out. I knew that I had to find a trust worthy dentist! Lo and behold! Winchester Dental Group! My first day there....I did NOT Know what to expect. When they called my name, I was greeted by a young beautiful staff member (forgive me for not remembering her name..as I was taking in the office environment). As I was guided down the aisle to the room that I was going to be in---I noticed nothing but a clean, friendly, professional atomosphe. Other staff memebers greeted me (in passing). Not to mention the state of art equipment I observed....everywhere! For a minute...I thought I was in Beverly Hills, California. I kept wondering if there was a staff member walking around offering pate', caviar and Pelligrino (or Perrier) water in a champagne glass). Yes! That upscale! That alone...made me feel secure! *lol* I then met Dr. Gio and one of his assistants. Both were very kind, professional and they have a GREAT sense of humor. They explained everything thoroughly to me. I liked the fact that they cared enough to make sure that I had a clear understanding of what they were explaining to me and their intentions. I never once felt (like in the past) that my visit was all about money! I felt like that they personally cared and that says alot!! From x-rays,precriptions, dental care to the impact dental care has on your health...they explain it thoroughly to you. This practice is very informative. Very unique and definitley very professional! Dr. Gio to me is a genius!! He masters his craft so well! I cannot find enough words for him for saving my teeth, smile and my self esteem. He is very well educated and has a passion for taking care of his patients. I say that because with each visit...he greets you with that awesome smile of his. He makes sure you are comfortable (if you are cold..he will see to it that you get warm) . He makes the atmosphere enjoyable for you. I like to refer to him as 'gentle ben'. My visits have been pretty much painless. But, very enjoyable. That is something that I have never experienced at any dental practice. One last note about Dr. Gio (this is for the ladies..) I am a 65 yr. old woman who had a major dental trauma as a teenager; consequently, I have delayed dental visits as long as I could and when I did finally go, I was filled with terror. I had no choice this time, and my husband's colleague recommended Winchester Dental. I can honestly say I have absolutely NO anxiety or fear of the dentist now, and I have been there often because there was so much work needed on my teeth. Dr. Gio is beyond fantastic, and all his staff, from the front office to his assistants, hygienists, etc. are professional, extremely competent, caring and warm.
