I stayed with them for around 15 months. They are least professional realty service providers that…read moreI have ever seen in US. They would never do maintenance, would bombard your email with non-sensical threats and useless notices. Three months before the lease end date approaches, they started bombarding my email with lease ending notices. They dont pay your security deposit back and would blame you for everything that is wrong with their property. Once a pipe was leaking from the apartment inundating the lower apartment and they blamed us for mopping the floors which caused water leakage on lower floors.

I am going on my second year living in a northcutt property. I would highly recommend them to…read morepeople who are looking for lower rent near campus. My roommate and I pay less than 500 a month for rent and utilities (utilities can in fact get pretty pricy) and we are within a 5 minutes walk of central campus. I would agree they can be difficult to contact, specifically through email, but they will usually pick up calls. Your best bet to talk to someone is just to walk into the office, which works great since most properties are in a walking distance to them. We've had a few maintenance needs, such as a broken fridge shelf, and they will usually fix it within a few days of us pointing it out. They also send extermination about once a month to replace filters, which has prevented our older building from any issues with bugs. I've never had any issues with the portal we pay rent through, and they allow you to sublet if you alert them first. There are no pets allowed, but most people in my specific complex have dogs and cats. Free parking with a yearly pass, and key pads instead of keys (which is great for a forgetful student like myself)

The Union Auburn

I love living at the Union! Ive lived here the last 2 years and renewed my lease to live here again…read morefor my senior year. The fitness center is super nice and not overcrowded. The pool is super big and is quiet during the wweekdays but fun on the weekends. Ive made lots of friends with other people who live here at the events the Union does and they also do giveaways which is cool. It feels super safe which is important to me (especially as a girl). The office staff are super nice and helpful, especially since there is a new property manager since the whole disaster when the building first opened. I also noticed in the last 6 months or so that the maintenance of the Union has gotten SO much better. Prices are comparitive to places like the Standard, Uncommon or West and Wright but I think this is so much nicer and its so much quiter than being right in the middle of downtown by the bars. Overall, I love living here!

This is as honest a review as I can give, as rough as it may be. As of today I am in a room 15…read moredegrees hotter than the rest of my unit (maybe 80 degrees), effectively not air conditioned at this point. My sink and bathtub do not drain effectively, and my toilet regularly clogs. I do not use any waxy products and do not have long hair, so this has to relate to the plumbing itself. My room is the size of some closets I have seen and barely fits the bed itself let alone any furniture. The giant "speedbumps" in the parking garage serve to violently jar and shake my vehicle (yes, even when going at or below the prescribed speed) which I suspect has contributed to some suspension damage and alignment issues. I know of multiple instances of vehicles being improperly towed despite displaying a university issue hang tag (with no refunds). The parking spots are also too narrow for a full sized vehicle and only fit compact cars effectively. Regular "fire drills" (read: room searches) from the university admin serve to limit any amount of peace that could be attained here. The wifi has no password (read: public access, unsecured) and is somewhat reliable, but don't bet on it working. The gym is pretty good, and that along with the staff is all I can really praise here. The building is actively falling apart with cracks in multiple walls, and I have been in multiple rooms with foul smells seemingly coming from the air conditioner ducts. I have effectively abandoned any concept of maintenance orders as none have been responded to despite emails, requests, and the dreaded "portal". The trash rooms are infested with roaches as well, but honestly that's the least of this place's worries. Oh yeah, and the train horn when you're trying to sleep. I have posed this review as honestly and cordially as possible. This is not intended as a hit piece, it is just my genuine experience here. I hope in coming years the university makes efforts to improve conditions here, even if it costs them some profits (rent here is higher than some mortgages).

His room was smaller than his dorm room and his rent was the same as all other roommates. The in-unit washing machine/ dryer were constantly on the fritz and not nearly appropriate for 5 people to use. The common areas felt dirty every time that we visited & utilities are not included in rent. Our additional monthly bill for utilities was @ $50. The worst part of the experience was being fleeced to the tune of $800 at the end of the lease to clean, repair and repaint the apartment with a lame response from building management. Be aware that you will pay rent for 12 months. If keys are turned in when your student leaves in May they will inspect and prepare your students room for the next tenant while you are still paying rent for June and July. Works great for them to manage the workload over the summer. Hold your keys as long as you are paying rent. My eldest son went to college in Dallas and the experience was 5*. He broom cleaned the apartment when he moved out as is standard and we received the entire security deposit back. I have never written a review like this, but felt it important to warn parents of Freshman who will be looking for apartments for their student only weeks after starting their freshman year at Auburn. Avoid this place! Please also note that I gave mgt. a chance to make things right.

You really can not beat the location, price, and quality of these apartments!!! Some times the outside of the complex can be a bit deceiving but as soon as you step into an apartment you are blown away! All of my friends describe it as feeling "home-y." I have already signed my lease for the 3rd year! The staff know me and my family by name and they're just so friendly and personable! If you ever have a problem, they are quick to fix it! They are also always doing some kind of contest or supplying free food (all three meals some times) for different holidays or events and they have even had free pizza delivered straight to your door for finals! It is literally right across from the Village dorms and is a 10-15 minute walk to campus. And even on the days when you don't want to walk, there are two different bus stops (one at each entrance) for you to hop on and ride to campus. I truly feel like Eagles West is my home and plan on living there until I graduate! The only "cons" would be: I have noticed being on the second floor, I can hear the boys above us "stomping around" a lot and/or being really noisy. At first my roommate and I thought it was just "them being boys" but with my sister living in the apartment a year before I moved in and now that I've been living there for almost two years, I have found that the floors must just be really thin no matter who lives above me. It probably doesn't help that it's hard wood flooring but a lot of times the noise can be really annoying and frustrating. That's honestly the worst thing about living at Eagles West though so I guess if you're thinking about living here, try to get the 3rd floor or 1st? I even talked to the girl below us and she said that sometimes she can hear us walking around, hear our voices, or my alarm clock on my phone vibrating in the morning and we try to be as quiet as possible so it does make me a little paranoid about the noise and giving her that same annoying feeling. Overall though I love Eagles West so much and would recommend it to any one looking for an apartment extremely close to campus that is still affordable and gorgeous on the inside!
