Our daughter has lived in the Uncommon for 2.5 yrs & will be there again this fall. I feel compelled to write this review as I see posts on FB & here for parents & students who are looking for AU housing. One of the reasons our daughter loved Auburn when she first visited was because it was a REAL college town -- the university is within steps of the town. With its wonderful location, the Uncommon gives her the ability to live that lifestyle, walking, biking, or Ubering rather than having to drive. Everything is convenient, including a brand-new Publix and a soon-to-be-open Target. She also uses the on-site study rooms, gym, and pool -- no extra fees. Having furnishings, in-apartment laundry, and humungous TV all included is also helpful. And most importantly, she feels SECURE. In terms of the comments about the maintenance -- I challenge anyone to find student housing in any college town that doesn't have maintenance needs. I will be starting my third year of living at Uncommon this August and overall I have had a wonderful experience. The amenities are great and I *actually* use them! My favorites are the pool area which is so cute and aesthetic (perfect for formal pictures) as well as the pool lounge. My friends and I frequent the pool lounge to play pool on the weekends or just hang out. There's a study lounge that is great for studying since I can't study in my bedroom and perfect for when I don't feel like going to campus. Speaking of campus, the location of Uncommon couldn't be better. The building is an easy five minute stroll to campus (and a three minute speedwalk away) and is the perfect distance to downtown auburn and toomers corner. Uncommon is a block or two away from downtown which allows for easy access but not all of the traffic. Any issues I have had while living here have been resolved by either management or maintenance in a timely manner. I have enjoyed living here so far and can't wait for my third year as a resident! read more

Living here has been the best experience. Within this apartment I can use the the gym, tan by the pool, grill outside, play pool, use a tanning bed, and do my work in the multiple study lounges (and have access to a printer). There are so many places I can go and hangout with my friends here, and our favorite is to grill burgers outside in the outdoor lounge. Storage space is definitely not an issue because my room, bathroom, kitchen and living room are very open with lots of cabinets and drawers available. I was nervous about living off campus since I do not have a car with me, but it is a 10 minute walk to all of my classes which is super convenient. Not to mention it is super close to all of my essentials: smoothies, coffee, chipotle, target, etc. All of the residents and staff are so helpful and kind! read more

I really enjoy the coffee machine in the Uncommon lobby! Brock from the staff helped me find it initially and was very helpful. As a busy resident, it's been a game-changer to have a convenient spot to grab a morning coffee on-the-go. The quality of the coffee is excellent and the variety of flavors is impressive. The stand is always well-stocked and the staff is friendly and efficient. I love that I can grab my coffee and go, without having to leave the building. Next year I will be a 3rd year resident at the uncommon and I couldn't be happier! I have had an amazing experience living here. The community is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly and responsive. The apartments are modern, spacious, and well-maintained. The amenities, from the pool to the fitness center are top-notch. Prime location with minimal noise at all times. Elevators are always working and the space is always clean. Maintenance is very prompt but issues are very rare! Very good bang for your buck! I couldn't have asked for a better place to call home. Highly recommend! read more

i love this place more than my family. I use the tanning bed every day. (I've achieved the perfect bronze). the hot tub is where I first fell in love with a ginger boy. so cute. the staff is so nice and helpful all the time. one time i saw them giving out money to the homeless. I love the GAMEDAY lounge. there's always people chatting and having fun. the proximity to campus makes it so easy to go to class. the general manager donated her kidney to me once it was so nice. I love this place and these people with my whole heart. truly the best ever. read more

I've had a great experience with Uncommon. The location is amazing, it's about a 5-minute walk to campus and Toomer's Corner. I've enjoyed using the amenities Uncommon has to offer such as the study lounge, gym, yoga studio, and my personal favorite the pool. Anytime I've had an inquiry management has listened with open ears to give me an answer. Another benefit is having a gated parking garage that protects my car from the elements. I have lived at uncommon since August and I can already tell this is the best place to live Auburn. Not only does Uncommon offer a beautiful pool to relax at when i'm not in class, but also a fully equipped gym and simulation golf! Every employee there is always so helpful with packages and any thing else I ask. Owen has helped me get packages as soon as they are delivered countless times. I have lived at the Uncommon since August of 2023 and have enjoyed it ever since. I had an issue with my washer and dryer not working, and maintenance fixed it within a day and were very efficient and personable in the process. The Uncommon is very accessible to the city of Auburn and enables me to be able to walk anywhere I want to go. All of my walks to class are 15 minutes or less. I renewed my lease and plan on living here every year until I graduate. read more
