As parents, we simply asked to verify the expiration and brand information before it was administered. When we asked to see the injections vile and box to confirm the brand and expiration like requested. The staffs attitude changed immediately and they began treating us rudely. They then brought in boxes of the vials. One of the injections was expiring the same month that we were in, so we were not comfortable giving him this vaccine. We ultimately declined that vaccine and it was never administered to our son. Despite that, the clinic has informed us that they still intend to charge us for the dose that they chose to prepare without our consent to proceed. We did not agree to have the vaccine drawn up prior to reviewing it, and the vaccine was never given. Charging a family for a medication that was never administered and that the we declined raises serious concerns about billing practices and patient consent. Parents deserve transparency, respect, and the ability to make informed decisions about their child's care without being pressured or financially penalized for asking questions. We hope the clinic reconsiders this situation and updates their policies so that other families are not placed in the same position.

Instead they took the side of their office manager, and were disrespectful and unprofessional. They blamed me, saying that I was harassing their office. I explained to their admin that I would leave a review, if the issues were not resolved. I have since edited this review. Instead of being nice and acknowledging their misdoings, I was blamed for reaching out trying to take care of my daughter's health & HIPPA information. I was told to send HIPPA information through a text system. Including medical health history form, and an ROI....When I wasn't even provided any documentation about the text system, and if it was indeed HIPPA compliant. I was given an email address for the office manager. When she stopped wanting to answer my questions, she blocked my emails. I have proof of this. I even called the front office to ensure I had the correct email to send the ROI form to. Also, to ask if there was another email I could send the forms. And I tried again, my emails were still blocked. I was told that she couldn't accept patient emails. When I had previously received 5 emails from her email address. They claimed that I was asking for medication for my daughter, that I never even called asking about. I was told that I called asking for medication, and that was (illegal) and against the law. They stated that I called asking about a medical condition, which she doesn't even have. I asked for the medical records, that was it. Idk if their office got us confused with a different patient? But this office is very disorganized. I left multiple messages, and voicemails. According to them, apparently that was harassment. It took 3 months, and this review to finally get the records sent to the new doctor. The office refused to send records to a different pediatrician, and refused to accept records. They refused to talk to me as the patient's mother, until I left a 1 start Google and 1 star Yelp review. I edited it, due to finally having the records sent. But in order to get those records sent, I had to endure this verbal abuse. I hope no one else has to endure this type of treatment, from a doctor's office. Especially from a pediatrician! The doctors and nurses also never return my calls.

Then we get in and they give them fruit snacks! What!!?? The best! For real everyone was so friendly! I am so excited to have them help my family!! If your looking definitely try them first!!

I brought my sick baby in, and he immediately tried to scare me and expressed concern about serious possibilities like measles, influenza, pneumonia, and RSV, but he didn't test for a single one. (It ended up being none of the above) Instead, he told us to just rotate Tylenol and Motrin and sent us home. Something in my gut told me things weren't right, so I went straight to the ER. My child ended up being admitted and later taken by ambulance to Primary Children's. His oxygen was low, he ended up being on oxygen for the next couple days. It was a nightmare that could have been caught earlier if Dr. Peterson had taken our concerns seriously. What made it even worse was how he spoke -- using fear and urgency, saying he was very worried about my son -- then doing absolutely nothing about it. No tests, no real answers, no support. He specifically said "I'm really glad you brought him in he looks really bad, you did the right thing" And continued to not test for a single thing or give me any answers. Which if he was really worried he should've sent us straight to the ER?!! We completely wasted our time by going to see him. We were completely dismissed during a moment when we needed real help. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. It was one of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. I will say the receptionists, were so kind and helpful, but that was the only good thing about my visit.

It left me searching for a new pediatrician. We were worried about possible seizures and wanted to talk to them about some sensory behaviors that my sons preschool had pointed out to me. We were experiencing it in kindergarten as well and didn't know where to turn for help. So I spent several hours reading reviews and choose based off what I had read to come to Utah Valley Pediatrics. We scheduled with a doctor who will remain un-named because this is not about him. He gave us a list of psychologists to test and work with my son on the sensory end. We have taken him to a psychologist and have been getting him help. With school starting the wearing of a mask is proving to be something thats too much for him. So I had the psychologist write a letter and took it to the school. I was told that my letter from the psychologist would not be sufficient to make my son exempt from wearing a mask. I was told that I had to get a signed form from a medical doctor. So I called Utah Valley Pediatrics office told them of my dilemma and told them I could bring in the letter from the psychologist and after 3 phone calls and checking and double checking I was told they have a COMPANY WIDE POLICY NOT to sign ANY mask exempt forms of any kind. Are you kidding me. They are the ones who gave me the list of psychologist to go to for help. If they can not do whats best for their patients on a patient by patient basis and make decisions based off the medical knowledge they have there is no way I'd ever trust them with any of my children. I MISS my old pediatrician!!

I think it's beyond rude and disrespectful to treat patients that way, to treat them as if their time means nothing.

His personable nature and bedside manner makes every visit feel like we were talking to a trusted friend or family member, not just a doctor. Even as my kids have gotten older, my boys begged for him to remain their doctor because of how genuine, responsive, and attentive he is. My boys are now aged out of practice and now it's just one child that is seen at his practice. He always takes the time to listen carefully, address every concern, and still makes the effort to ask how the rest of the family was doing. That level of care and personal connection is rare. At Dr. Marriott's office, you are never just another patient to be seen. He truly sees and treats you as a whole person, and that has meant the world to our family over the years.
