Our Field Manager, Jeremiah, came to the house to give us an estimate for a new roof and gutter guards. Our roof was in need of a serious overhaul. Jeremiah explained the entire roofing process, materials and why certain things would need to be done certain ways - which left me confident that the estimate was accurate, fair and exactly what I would need to get the job done right. He even brought multiple single sample colors so I could pick the perfect one for the house and then got us on his calendar within A WEEK. The materials arrived on time and were put in a place that was convenient for us. The Metro crew that did the roof was amazing. They were SO FAST! The entire house roof and garage were done in ONE DAY. I couldn't believe it. The workers were great - nice and considerate. They did an amazing job cleaning up as well. We haven't found a single nail or piece of trash larger than shingle dust after they were done cleaning up the job. Two weeks later they came out and cleaned out the gutters and put gutter guards on. Done quickly and on time. AWESOME! I can't say enough what great work Metro and Jeremiah did for us! I'm now not worried every time it rains that our roof is gonna leak and knowing I don't have to clean out gutters ever again makes me so happy. Thanks Jeremiah and Metro!!

I can't recommend or thank them enough, your home is in good hands with eRoof. Here's our experience. eRoof did a full replacement of our flat/low pitch roof late in the fall after we noticed some leaking. As we decided to replace it out of our own pockets, we wanted to be sure the company we chose for our project was perfect for the job. Their pricing is very competitive and the conversations and planning we did with Tyler made eRoof be our first choice. They completed our roof replacement very quickly and the cleanup was great. It not only looks wonderful but no more leaking and they replaced some rotted wood while they were at it. Come spring when the snow melted, we noticed the drainage from our new roof was not going to work long term. We contacted Tyler at eRoof, he listened to our concerns, came up with a solution and made sure we were 100% satisfied with our product even months after the job was completed. This company stands behind their product and their commitment to making sure their customers are top priority. This is the kind of company you want to hire when the integrity of your home is on the line. Thank you again to everyone at eRoof, 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Storm Group Roofing - The second railing and open holes left from the removal of the first.

Their bid was higher than the other bid I had gotten, but the sales guy I talked to seemed to know a lot about old houses so I hired Storm Group thinking they would do a good job and be able to deal with any old house issues that might come up. Nobody showed up the first two times they told me they were coming. The third time, one guy showed up by himself to remove the deck and patch the siding around it. I don't think he had much construction experience and he didn't speak much English. He was also supposed to install a railing in front of the door to the deck. The sales guy had told me they needed to this for liability reasons so nobody could fall out the door after the deck was removed. I told him the door had been walled over on the inside of the house, so I wasn't at all concerned about this, but I said it was fine to add a railing if he felt it was needed. The "railing" ended up being 3 2x6's. It looked awful and wasn't even treated wood. What kind of company uses raw wood on the exterior of a house? The were also holes left where the siding hadn't been fully patched. I complained about the "railing" and holes. Storm Group agreed to fix the siding and replace the railing with an actual railing, which would be painted grey to match the house. The same guy came out again to install the new railing, again by himself. I wasn't told in advance when he would be coming, so I was leaving for work as he arrived and wasn't around while he did the work. The new railing wasn't great, it looked like a pretty hasty carpentry job. It was at least painted, although the paint did not match the house and had large drips in places. I had been told that the new railing would be the same size as the old and the same screw holes made in the house for the first railing would be reused. This was not the case. The screw holes from the first railing were left completely open and uncovered. There was also a crack in the siding below the railing where a tool appeared to have been dropped. Storm Group then sent me a bill for for the deck removal and gutter installation. I told them they needed to actually install the gutters before I would pay for that. They seemed surprised to learn that the gutter installation hadn't been done. They gutters were installed the next day, but I wasn't told in advance, so I wasn't home at the time. They were supposed to replace the two gutters on the back of the house, one on the second story roof and one on the back porch. Instead, they replaced one of the gutters on the front of the house and the second story gutter in the back. There are two gutters on the front of the house that had matched before Storm Group. Now they are close, but if you look carefully, they are not the same. The downspout from the back second story gutter was placed so that it emptied onto the back porch roof. I has very specifically told the sales guy that the downspout could not go there because it was a low slope roof that was not in the best condition, and putting a lot of water there was a bad idea. At this point, I was fed up with Storm Group. I proposed that they could keep the half down I had already paid but that I didn't want them to do anymore work on the house and I wouldn't pay the remaining balance since the work had not been completed successfully. They agreed to this. I really should have asked for money back since I think they did more damage than actual work, but I just wanted to be done. The best part was after all this, when I went to move the downspout from the second story gutter to a better location myself. When I removed the downspout, I noticed that it was really dirty inside and had screw holes in a couple of places where there were no screws. And then I realized that it was part of the old downspout that had been on the house before and it had been cut up and reused. I suspect they ran out of materials since they replaced the wrong gutter and part of the downspout in the front of the house. They had charged me by the foot for all new materials for the downspouts, so I was not impressed to find that the old downspout had been reused. Surely somebody must have known that something was wrong at the point where they were cutting up the old downspouts and reattaching them to my house, but nobody from Storm Group ever said a word about any of this to me (and I didn't complain because at that point I just didn't want to deal with them anymore). I would give negative stars if I could.

Had to have Levi redo the quote with more detail. 2) Contract signed at a set price. Final invoice showed $650 more than contract with no change in contract. This was not paid. 3) Good luck getting Lien waivers from the owner Nick H. He will send a Storm Group lien waiver stating liens are satisfied. After several weeks, I got one from the labor contractor. Suggest getting all the contractors listed on your contract before signing- with a statement stating unlisted contractors would be roofer responsibility. 4) Biggest issue - Part of roof did not adhere to the base. It appears the install done in below 40 F temps. Owner claims winds blew off roof. But the pics tell a different story. Don't expect Storm Group to resolve any issues you may have. Will have to replace my entire roof again at twice the cost. Note- If you wish to sail on the Titanic, Storm Group would be your roofer.

So when we needed new roofing, siding, gutters, gutter covers, facia and soffits I obtained several quotes. Erik didn't hesitate to come out to Farmington and quote the project. We had some "slick" salespeople and we had a guy that wouldn't give me a quote (he really didn't like women was my opinion) and would only deal with the insurance company. Erik was professional, honest and not "slick." The price was fair. My test is always the "warm and fuzzies." After a few meetings with Erik, he had my business. Then came the problems. Every color combo for all of the above items had items out of stock, discontinued or something. Erik made a lot of phone calls and several vendor trips. I have no idea how many combos we went through - probably 15 or so. Finally we found a combo that could be put together. YEAH!!!! Erik was patient through all of the "I hate neutrals" moments and several trips of holding colors against the house in different light. Roof install went well and then we had to wait 2 weeks for the siding. The siding installation was completed and they came back and fixed a couple of small items and we were done before Thanksgiving. Erik was around almost daily and even picked up extra FOD on his own. They installed our new lights and Ring cams too. Erik was easily reachable and kept on top of the project and kept me up to date. Very impressed. They were within $7 of the original quote (I think permit fees changed). Very happy and thankful that I selected Erik and Roofs R Us.

Dan told me I needed a new roof, when other roofers have told me that I just need a repair. Dan came out and did not explain why I needed a new roof, he did not provide pictures showing why the roof needed replacing, etc. But I guess because the property is a rental and I couldn't be there, and maybe because I'm female apparently a 10-15 yo roof needed to be replaced and completely revented. The estimate included roof vents every 150 ft to put the roof 'up to code,' although this is only for new construction (so he either does not know the code or he's lying). Older homes are grandfathered in, though should be adequately vented. http://www.minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/public/@regservices/documents/webcontent/convert_272400.pdf The written quote was $1k more than the initial quote over the phone (which was after he saw the property) because he apparently didn't realize that the roof was a different type and it was larger than he initially thought after seeing it. I noticed in the estimate that they left a huge amount of wiggle room in the estimate for replacing any part of the wood deck (frame) that was rotted. If he had bothered to go into the attic he could have assessed that to some extent (and was given the opportunity to do so--as well as try and locate the leak). I'd hate to know how much of the roof frame was "rotted" and needed to be replaced if I had them do the work. And, yeah, I'm going to call him out on his horrible writing. It's like getting emails from a 2nd grader. It's that bad.
