Never will I ever recommend such a place to any one. They don't help with any housing at all. They…read moremake it seem like they're not bad people at all lol. Let start with Randy one of the staff lying and accusing me of leaving the church that we went too when I never did. Or let's start by when ever you feel a type of way of people doing you wrong and Stephanie says " you're attacking me and my staff and always complaining about me or my staff " so she sides with her staff when they're in the wrong. Let's start with how they treat you like you're an animal while you're in there and when you confront them about it they act like you're someone who is scary. Or let's talk about how najeeba talks to children and comes at them when you're not looking and when you confront her she tries to play victim. So it's okay to bully kids but when I come an confront you about it it's a different story huh ? Or let's talk about how they play favorites between the families and one family will get more than the other. And how they let other families get away with more stuff but when you do the same thing that other family did. You get written up. Today I had had it. Najeeba kept following me around , talking about me to other clients , and even the staff seen her do it. An of course they will get under here saying I was a problem and how I supposedly never had my kids because that's what Stephanie said to me over the phone. Which was not true. The whole time I was in this program I worked every night. Even getting another job to stay away from these people. They still tried to find every reason to pick with me. Only one who was cool and cordial with anyone there was Brian or miss. Rosaria. They provide shelter and food. But they don't give a state of mind. They will not help you with housing. It's not true at all. Don't come here looking for housing because you're not going to get it. An it's very sad because they got a 2mill funding grant a can't help Anyone.

Like at all. I had just put hand sanitizer on. But to assume I was an alcoholic like that straight away...rude! We get into the shelter and as soon as we walk into the room, the air changes. My kids are chill and make friends fast but the moms hate me instantly of course. I tried being nice to kids. Got yelled at by ghetto psycho mom which makes her hate me more, when makes her mom friend she intake with her best friend. Her son gets my son sick with some kind of virus and we get kicked out of the shelter permanently. We broke no rules. We were the perfect family. Other families are Jealous. I know this shelter had to of broken some housing laws. We as a family have rights as well. My son has a severe breathing problem and we are OUTSIDE, HOMELESS, IN THIS BAD STORM...because other families couldn't handle seeing another family have more than them. Try starting by not getting piercings and tattoos all over your face you might make more than $12/hr. This place morally should be looked at. It feels like you are in PRISON when you are there.

Service starts at 10am and there is a youth group that meets during the service. Their band, The Way, is amazing. Very upbeat music accompanied with guitars, drums and keyboard. Words to songs are cast on large monitors and they are still doing hybrid service on zoom and FB live. I highly recommend in-person. They are tracking everyone that comes in via a sign in sheet. Communion is taken every week. They have transitioned back to serving the elements. Gluten free rice crackers, grape juice in plastic cups. If you prefer, they have the "instant" communion which is juice and a cracker sealed together. They have a long history of building homes in Mexico but that isn't currently happening due to the pandemic and the climate in Mexico. Regardless the church supports Amor Ministries in other ways. I've been on a mission myself and our children have gone several times. If you are looking for a new spiritual home, check this place out.

Worship is fun and upbeat. Our band, The Way, plays a variety of contemporary Christian and Praise songs. Our services are now hybrid (post-pandemic shut down) so you can worship in the sanctuary or from home! (It's a lot more fun to be with others in person, though!) We serve Communion every Sunday. We have a variety of ministry opportunities in which people can participate: Social Justice Team, Outreach Ministry, Spiritual Formation, Senior Adult Ministry, and others. Come by and check us out-- 10 AM Sunday mornings!

As someone who is newly out after years of religious trauma, they were who I turned to first. I had wanted to volunteer there. I received no response even though I reached out on several occasions. When I tried to sign up for women of the rainbow, it was questioned why someone my age would need their help. I was told they were not a dating service. I wish I never would have gone there. It's hard knowing that this was my first attempt at belonging and I was so horribly rejected. I really hate to say this, but I would say queer women 25 to 49 should steer clear of this place. Especially if you are overweight and nuerodivergent. There has to be a safe place for us. I'm still looking for my place, but it's for sure not here.

Six years later (2025), I went by to post a 3x5 card and I was told that I needed to register, which meant I would get emails about events they are holding. Seemed reasonable I guess, and I was hoping the atmosphere had improved, so I registered. I made the mistake of attending two of their senior womens meetings. These meetings are supposed to be open to anyone in the community. While the first was okay, but the second was horrible. At the second one, a new attendee, a lesbian, who seemed in a bad mood, started on a tirade against transgender people. Five minutes of bile and hate later, I was hoping someone would object, but to my amazement the other two lesbians in the group there encouraged her and supported her. I should have objected but I felt the hatred expressed was too overwhelming and I decided there just was no advantage to objecting and I just left. I did not believe anything I said would be received well as I there was three of them and one of me, and they were all in agreement As far as I am concerned this place is a bastion of hate and bigotry and I have no interest being anywhere near them. I am especially grateful for the music ministry which has helped me grow closer to my faith. I thank the Music Director , Enrico Banson for his contribution of time, directives to the choir for development and helping us tune our voices, and amazing piano skills! Also to Maria, the best mentor/friend and for helping lead our choir as well! The list goes on!! If you are looking to be a part of a fulfilling parish, please attend any of our masses. Whether it be 10:30am English, 4:30pm youth mass, or any of the other times on the schedule. I often hear about people leaving church due to not feeling a connection with the community- i invite you to attend QAS and become a part of any of the ministries that interest you most (Bible study, music, liturgy , etc.) https://qaschurch.org/ministries

I've been blessed, humbled, and privileged to get to know this church, its amazing pastoral staff, and its courteous/friendly parishioners alike within the last year - and it has really made a huge impact on my faith journey! *Backstory: Since I was a wee lad, my family & I had known about this parish during the summers when we'd spend a whole Saturday at Waterworld, and as it got closer to the 4:00 hour, our parents would rush us to change and rinse and shower and get ready to go to the Saturday Vigil Mass at 4:30 p.m., and I remember that it was 'quite alright' to just wear shorts to mass! Well, I was a wee lad, remember?! Lol. (plus Concord summers are generally HOT!) - but hey, what matters is your attendance & active, full-conscious participation though, right?! Ayeeee!!!* Fast forward to the future - I never thought I'd be able to have a personal relationship with QAS! (physical, emotional, spiritual, and social) - as it has been a pleasure to work alongside their music ministry - a blend of enthusiastic, and industrious voices with one common commitment to assist the worshipping assembly in song of praise. I have been asked to sub several times as an accompanist/liturgical musician for some of their Sunday services within the last year, and I continue to do so - thank you, Mr. Banson! (QAS' current Music Director since early 2022). I have always looked forward to assisting in leading the assembly in sung prayer, and in doing so, it is such a warm & inviting atmosphere as I basked in their breathtaking stained glass windows, intricate altar details, and optimal lighting for capturing the joy of the Eucharist in such a spacious & grand interior. From the very first time I've subbed, the priests/presiders (such as their very enthusiatic & engaging pastor, Fr. Neal), their parish/volunteer staff (s/o to Nancy, Ernesto & Edelyn, Maria, Vincent, Mario & Jackie), I've gotten to know were exceptional, as they offered their helpful, and attentive service to help me prep that made my time there as a sub both smooth & effortless - ensuring a well-run, organized liturgical celebration! This 2023 is a major year for them, as they celebrate their Sesquicentennial - 150th Anniversary of the Parish, which is historically the beginning of the Roman Catholic faith in all of Concord! Help them celebrate by purchasing commemorative gear, and attending their events that they have planned all year long! If you are looking for a parish to join, they offer many opportunities for returning our gifts of time and talent to God. As stewards of God-given skills and abilities, volunteering in a ministry / organization provides a way to thank God, share our faith, and enhance the community. Not only this parish is THE place in Concord to go to fulfill your Sunday obligation on Sundays & Holy Days, THIS parish is YOUR source & summit of what you are looking for to be actively involved in parish life! ¡Ad Majorem Deí Gloriam!
