After my groomer, who was coming to my home, decided to take a hiatus ( without any warning or…read morenotice) We were left somewhat panicked. That groomer also worked at a dog Salon, which was an option, but the recent YELP reviews were awful. Our dog is a puppy mill rescue, who had been abused and can be fear aggressive when confined with anything around her neck. She's never bitten anyone but gets snappy if you pull on her. So we need a groomer who gets that..... 95% of the time this dog is a lap dog, desperate for affection. She's also actually afraid of people and other dogs, terrified of cages,( she was in a cage for the first two years of her life)which is why going to a regular dog Salon was the least favorite option. So enter Furryland! We have had two groomers. Both were excellent. Both listened beforehand to her history and her trigger points. Amanda now has been her groomer the last few times and the actual grooming is terrific. She really did what I asked regarding her ears, which is difficult on a Doodle. Our original groomer just always kind of did it her way. Lol. But most importantly, our dog wasn't stressed. And before anyone asks, we have always used vet prescribed sedation to reduce anxiety. But it didn't yield the same results with our prior home groomer. So overall, the grooming results were terrific, the commutation via text while your pup is in the van is excellent, the personality and listening skills of both Amanda and staff have been so pleasant to deal with.

I was told to have a seat by the entrance door where customers were dropping off their dogs for the day. A man brought in his 2 Border Collies who immediately turned right and started to snap at our dog who barked back. Nothing was said to the owner of the Collies. He then dropped off some cookies and gifts to the staff and left. Still waiting patiently when a pug and a Doberman arrived and came up to our dog who again barked back. The woman who had the Pug came and apologized and she stuck her hand out close to our dogs nose and she tried to nip at her but did not bite. A few minutes later one of the staff approached me and I was told they would not take her as she showed signs of aggression. Mind you she was in unfamiliar settings with a lot of activity close by- how would most dogs respond? That was it, no evaluation, just an assumption of aggressive behavior. I guess it's all our dog's fault- not the the dogs of the regular clients. Did not even get an I'm sorry from the staff. We had this same dog board there overnight for a week one year ago- no problem. Condescending and rude behavior by the staff and clearly unprofessional. Moral of the story - be like Skippy the nerd and bring cookies! Will not be coming back and would not recommend! Merry Christmas!

The wound became infected and ended up requiring surgery, 20 stitches, and hospitalization. While mildly apologetic, the owners did not offer to pay the vet bills and withheld the contact information of the other dogs' owner. The whole place including the kennels was dirty. The owner seemed stressed, overwhelmed and too distracted to give adequate attention to the dogs in her care.

Not going to say the amount but it's a large sum of money that they are both owed. The kennels never get cleaned out the dogs were so unhappy looking and my one friend took her dog there two months before my visit and she boarded her dog for 3 nights and left a new unopened 30 lbs. bag of dog food and when she went to pick up her dogs the bag was completely empty. She found out the owner was feeding all the other dogs in the kennel with her personal food plus the owners own dogs. There was a mountain of laundry that smelled like it had been sitting there for months. The place reeks of mold and we saw so many mice in the place it was repulsive. Just supper sad to see dogs there and the regular customers don't even know that the dogs are being neglected. If you choose to take your dog here you will be paying to board your pet in filth.
