From our first phone call, Lisa was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. She spent about an hour getting to know us, explaining the process, and answering all of our questions, and this was before we had even signed an agreement with her. She also took the time to explain the agreement itself so we understood what we were signing. Buying from out of town definitely had its challenges, but Lisa was very flexible with us. On our first trip to Gainesville, she packed our schedule with showings so we could see as many homes as possible and get a better idea of what we liked. We ended up finding the home we bought very quickly, and this was during one of the busiest times of year for Gainesville real estate. Something I really appreciated was Lisa's attention to detail when we toured homes. There were several times she noticed issues or pointed things out that weren't mentioned in the listing. Her experience was very obvious, and as first-time buyers, that was extremely helpful. She also walked us through the inspection and the rest of the buying process and was always quick to answer our questions. We purchased a house in high Springs that this real estate had listed and they did not disclose the…read morecorrect property acreage. We were told about a week before the closing or so that we needed to have a survey done which cost quite a bit of money as it was last minute and we needed it done right away. After the survey was done we found out the property, instead of being 3 1/2 acres, was only 2.7 acres and we only had as I stated three days before the closing so we had no other recourse but to go ahead with the deal because we had no place to go we were pretty much forced into buying this house because otherwise we would not have had any place to live. They advertised it as 3 1/2 acres and they were incorrect. we were offered the property for 10,000 less but that in no way was enough considering it was almost an acre less than they advertised. I feel this real estate is responsible for all the stress and loss we suffered! Would never recommend. They did NOT do their job in listing the correct information!

She was initially very responsive and replied both by email and phone (left a message while I was on the road), expressing a willingness to work with me and asking if I had found any properties in the area that I was interested in seeing. I replied by email that I had found a few that I wanted to see, said I was sorry I had missed her call, and asked when would be a good time to call back. And then... nothing. I never heard from her again. I called her back the next day, and left a message, but received no further replies by phone or email. The unprofessionalism was striking. I would actually have preferred no response at all to my initial email. As it was, I thought that I had found a realtor, and essentially wasted a day waiting for a call back that never came, time that I could have used to find another realtor. Why Meg could not have simply sent an email saying, "sorry, but I'm not accepting new clients at this time" is hard to understand.

Do not rent from her, working with her was an absolute nightmare. When she handed me over to the actual person who would be managing the property, things started to fall apart beginning with a tremendous amount of pushback on absolutely everything. And they were not prompt in responding and lacked follow through. It was an incredibly stressful time. Eventually, once the funds were received for placement, tenant and myself were unceremoniously dropped from their "firm". I thought it was just me, but it appears that this is a pattern of bad behavior that still remains unchecked to this day.

If you happen to be the renter ENSURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING because they will not make any changes UNLESS IT IS IN WRITING! I know this sounds like a no brainer, but when they sell you on a property they are extremely polite and will always communicate with you. Once you sign that least, you are on your own and cannot even have open communication with the actual property owner. If you have a problem with the staff, the owner of the company (who it is named after) will not discuss any of your concerns and will relay you back to the staff members. I have made it clear to my Soldier's that they are not to use this company and am getting the company "blacklisted" (cannot use) for service members.

Buyers differ in how they prefer to interact with a showing agent - some prefer to be allowed to take in a home without any distractions, and Kristen is happy to operate in that mode if that is what you prefer. On the other hand, I like for the agent to be with me while touring a home to answer questions and point out defects and advantages as we go along. Kristen was so very excellent in that mode. When it comes time to make an offer on a house (or decide on a listing price), a market analysis from an agent is crucial. I found Kristen's market analysis well done and her negotiation skills superb in representing my interests. The home inspection uncovered an issue that became a sticking point because ultimately it proved not feasible to remedy and I didn't want to accept it. After many hours of research and fact finding by Kristen, eventually I realized it was not the big deal I had thought. Kristen never rushed me to this conclusion, to her immense credit.
