We stopped to get drinks, snacks and use the restroom. We will not make that mistake again. Other frequent people waiting in line commented that the poor customer service and rude workers never changes. Constantly and consistently closing the restrooms so she doesn't have to clean it is what the employee said. I can't give lower than a 1 star. In the future we will bypass this place and continue on to Barstow down the road. Eventually this place will probably end up closing and neither of the employees will have a job to be rude at. In addition , the gas prices are extremely high. So if you go down the road just a few miles you will see a huge ice cream cone, it's Eddie's World. They have everything you need to stock up on snacks. Very clean restrooms and a fun vibe inside. Thanks Shell for showing me patience for a restroom can lead to fun destination we will definitely return to next time. read more

OK, I get that this is a rest stop in the middle of nowhere that includes a Shell station a Dairy Queen, mini Subway and of course gas. I think the town's designation, Yermo, is named after a Michael McDonald song. "Yermo be there," or something like that. Inside they have more sundries and snacks than a mall food court. But alas, the bathrooms were the most disgusting I've seen since the 1970s. Any port in a storm I suppose. Just make sure to wash your hands and hope the person who just left the restroom did the same. read more

Gas may be a bit higher here than other stations in the area, however, the pumps are relatively fast. Clean women's restrooms, although, all they had was a blow dryer after we washed. Fast, yet not-so-friendly dude at the counter. Mostly clean parking lot. Might be a tighter fit for vehicles with trailers. Expect a markup for items like a box of Kleenex ($3.99), sunflower seeds ($2.49 which showed up as a "DVD" on my receipt), and bottled drinks. read more

Today I used the bathroom here and walked in as the janitor was cleaning it. He got extremely upset and started cussing me out as I was going to the bathroom. He then blocked me from leaving and held the door shut. I had to physically push my way past him as he was pushing his mop bucket into my legs to get out of the bathroom. The restrooms here are disgusting! The bathroom walls and both sides of the door going in and out are filled with marks of dirty finger prints and hand prints that have not been cleaned in years. The floor is filled with dirt and TP and the sinks was terrible no soap in the dispenser. There was one laying in the sink...gross! To think they have a Dairy Queen and a Subway here if they take care of them the way they do the bathrooms, I wouldn't even eat here. Not COVID clean at all Wish o had taken a picture to post! Just a gas station across from the Peggy Sue Diner that sits on Hwy. 15 going to Vegas that can also be accessed from Hwy 40 to Arizona too. Which we came from. After eating at the diner we took a quick stop for fuel and actually for a stop on a main drag to Vegas I was surprised that the prices weren't higher. They had the usual suspects in the mini mart of sundries and water. Can't say too much for a gas station. read more

DO NOT STOP at this Shell! We stopped at this Shell to get gas, coffee, and use the restrooms. The women's restroom was absolutely disgusting! I told the cashier. He said they've been busy. The bathrooms need more like a remodel! There was black mold on the walls and the bathroom stall spores were filthy. For a large corporate gas station this is unacceptable. Needed to get gas and are familiar with the Shell name. The women's restroom was probably the most disgusting restroom I've been in for a while. Sticky floors, noticeable grim and dirt. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. DON'T STOP HERE!!! We thought about getting DQ but if they can't clean a bathroom, I can't imagine what the food area looks like. Gross and disgusting. We did end up getting gas but drove another 10 min to Barstow and the gas was $1.00 less per gallon. Should report for gas gouging. read more

This place is deceptive. It looks nice outside and looks like they have done some remodeling, but it is filthy. Looks like they clean very sparingly. The women's bathroom was a bit gross & grimy. This was the most disgusting place I've ever been. The bathrooms were terrible, filthy with sh*t smeared on the seats of more than one toilet. I really wanted to go to the DQ here, but the bathrooms were so disgusting and the smell of B.O. in the store/Subway have pushed me away forever. I will never return to this place. ***This Shell is located on the way from Los Angeles to Las Vegas; because of its location in the middle of nowhere, gas prices are high here (which is to be expected); unfortunately, this gas station could use updating--the credit card readers are very slow and even one of them was not working (and there was no sign indicating that it was out of order); it is easy getting off the freeway and back onto it when using this station, which might make this Shell a more convenient and quicker option than the gas stations in nearby Barstow*** Free parking is available if you are just stopping in for a snack or drink. read more

Went to the pump and the facing was completely ripped off, even the screen didn't work. Drove my rig to another pump which is difficult to do when it's so busy. Went in to tell the lady at the cash register and she acted exasperated! Like I was bothering her. She asked me how much on what pump and I told her I had moved pumps, just thought I'd be nice and let her know, she said "okay whatever, I'll check on it later" I'm assuming she's a manager from the two other associates who came and asked her questions in another language. While en route to LA from LV, we saw this gas station right off the freeway. We were extremely disgusted how dirty the bathrooms were with clogged toilets, dirty sinks, and toilet paper on the ground. The second I stepped out of the women's bathroom, I had to use my hand sanitizer just thinking how unsanitary and filthy it was. And to make things worse, my boyfriend noticed that some of the food items in the gas station were expired. They definitely need to update their products on stock. One thing for sure is that we definitely won't be stopping by when we head back to LV. read more

This shell has some bad reviews but it looks like it was just recently renovated. It is very clean and looks fresh on the inside and out.

Filthy dirty inside and out. Spilled sticky junk on the ground along with a half eaten chicken drumstick. Don't try to clean your windshield here because the squeegee smears. My wife walked in to use the restroom but turned around and left. I'll give them 1 star because they had diesel fuel for my Mercedes Van. read more

Absolutely the dirtiest bathroom I've ever been in. There was no toilet paper, pee all over the ground and seat, and the sink baseball was broken. In the corner was a janitorial tile space with black mold and other atrocities. This is the most disgusting bathroom I have ever seen. All the toilets were dirty and clogged, dust was all over everything. Pee stains were on the floor, toilet and walls. Blood on toilet paper in the open trash cans and the walls were falling apart. If they can't even clean the bathroom I would never eat at the Sub Way located in the gas station. read more
