I purchased beef jerky, chile lemon pistachios, chocolate covered gummy bears, roasted garbanzo beans, and tajin flavored pistachios. A little embarrassed to say but I did sample everything I purchased, during the car ride there. I will say this is a premium indulgence. I'm sure the prices reflect the gourmet quality. We will definitely make this a must stop, every time we drive to Vegas.

This is a place no way you should ever go past. You have to come on your way to Vegas and see. It's…read moreeven worth a trip just for itself with the kids. I've been fixing retail stores for many, many years. This place is 80-85% correct. Great store for candy, snacks, ice cream, coffee, nuts. I would skip the lunch. Not anything special. In such a wonderful store this is an oops. Some recommendations I understand your own the property next to the store. He should put some kind of a kids play area, couple rides or something. It's just minor rides just to keep the kids even more uninterested. And make it more of a destination. The main attraction is the many, many rows of bagged candy. Close to 1000. different candy's. Prices are fair. Not high not cheap. But the candy turnover must be so fast, it all must be do fresh. I like the red hot beans. But they ran out of them quite a bit. The candy part is fantastic. The service everywhere in the store was wonderful. Place is clean. To me this is close to a destination. You will find candy from your childhood candy you've never I have been in retail for over 40 years. And I could tell you one of these in an Orange County warehouse would be such a gold mine with the right manager. Funny people don't pay attention. All these cars were parked in the RV and bus parking. There are plenty of signs. People just don't pay attention and there were other parking spaces. Or people don't care. They have good coffee, great cuntom ice cream, a whole selection of bottle and cans drinks. Many coolers of soda. The beef jerky is top-notch a little spicy for me, but still very very good. The prices are fair a little bit high but fair the quality of the candy is excellent. They have interesting selection hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of candies. My only problem was the lunch place in the back. The food was terrible. The service was great. The place was clean, but the chicken sandwich. The burger is terrible. The salad was mediocre. Hamburger bacon and avocado was good. The meat was cooked correctly if that was a real problem. There's nothing creative there. There's nothing interesting there. It's just very boring very mediocre food at a place like this that should different. But, it is averagely prepared and basic. You could do so much with this.

Hookups worked as expected. The main pro for us is the convenience of a place to stop for the night to break up a long drive with the RV. Cons: The property is in need of some basic maintenance. There are ruts in the driveways between sites making it inconvenient when towing a trailer/RV (It's somewhat understandable since the soil is sandy and taking the climate into consideration). There are some overgrown trees that hang that need to be trimmed so they don't hit the top of RVs, it can take some careful maneuvering to avoid them. Overall this KOA is a convenient, quiet and friendly place to stay overnight which are big factors that we appreciate.

We were assigned a pull-through site with an unusual layout. What appeared to be the continuation…read moreof the site was actually a campground road crossing in front of it. The road surface was nearly identical to the site surface, and because the road approached at a sharp angle, it wasn't obvious while pulling in that it was a roadway rather than part of the site. Combined with the site boundaries and the location of the utilities, the layout was confusing. We parked, leveled, put out the slides, and connected all utilities. About 20 minutes later, staff informed us that we were partially blocking the road and had to move. That meant disconnecting everything, retracting the slides and jacks, repositioning the motorhome, and setting up all over again. What was most disappointing was the way the office handled it. I wasn't looking for compensation--I simply suggested that this particular site could benefit from better guidance and explained that having to completely tear down and reset after being fully set up was a significant inconvenience. Instead, I was told I was the only guest who had ever made this mistake, that the site needed no additional explanation, that the situation was entirely my fault, and that no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience was warranted. I've RV'd for many years and stayed in many campgrounds, and this is the first time I've encountered a site where the roadway and site boundaries were this difficult to distinguish. A courteous acknowledgment of the inconvenience and a willingness to consider that this site's layout may be confusing would have left a much better impression.
