Located at Terrible Herbst Convenience Store, there are 96 pumping stations available. Inside the store, the car for James Bond 007 is there along with a replica of Big Foot. Go on to a Primm for gas!…read more I guess someone decided to build a giant gas station complex in Jean and thought that because it's a fancy facility, they can charge 1$ more per gallon than they charge in Vegas and $.80 per gallon more than they charge in the next town west, Primm (only 11 miles further down the road). Then, to add insult to injury, they have for cash registers by the door but three of the registers decided to shut down at the same time. I was sent across the building to three different (not friendly) cashiers losing my place in line twice before I finally found one that would check me out... with a bag of ice and ice cream in my hands I waited about 10-minutes. The line behind me grew to about 15 different sets of people because they don't stagger their shift change. I lost my place in line twice because only one of the three closed registers had a makeshift bag marker to indicate that it was closed. The others just waited til I got there with my ice and ice cream. But don't worry - the cashier that was finally checked me out made sure to tell me that they actually ARE very efficient and DO actually stagger shift change. I guess closing 3 and leaving 1 open when a line that goes more than 1/2 back into the store is considered staggering. Continue on to Primm if you need fuel, y'all! I definitely won't see ya there.
