Great coffee. I'm always just in and out of this place when getting gas or snacks. Open 24/7, they also have self check out when you're buying stuff inside to make it easier for people on the go. read more

TERRIBLE. You can't go in and get what you want. You yell at a guy through the window and he brings random items back.

This is the Shell gas station, food mart and carwash on Great America Parkway just south of Hwy 237 in Santa Clara, CA. This Shell has a prime location near the freeway, Great America, Levi Stadium, the convention center and a business park. I stopped by for gas a few days ago after Thanksgiving, and regular UL was at $4.69/gal. Now that was a fair price for gas considering the location of this station. What was really disturbing was the poor maintenance of the place. It was really dirty and dusty. There were weird stickers on the pumps. The washer water was smelly and grey. I went in the food mart and mentioned it to the clerk, and he said he doesn't take care of the outside. Well, hope nobody spills gasoline or oil out at the pumps! The food mart was nice and well stocked. I didn't use the restroom or buy a carwash. Also, there was a man opening up the trash bins and looking for cans. Not the best place to get gas, but the prices were fair at the time. read more

Don't give this place your business twice I've been here and both times the guy who helped me was so rude. I would not even give this place a star. Just be ready to get a bad experience if you come here. Came inside with no greeting and he didn't say thank you. Manager : Take note of the date and time and see who was working and educate this person on good customer service , Jan 18 @ about 8:50 pm. read more

I would give a 0 if I could yesterday I visited the shell station and when I drove off I'd left the pump Attached and drove off a few feet and it came off. I immediately went in and told the told the tenant that I had done this and he goes that will be 271. Rje tennant saidid it happens all the time. I don't know if this is protocol but it does not seem correct. I've had friends and family who've drove off and the gas station never charges them anything. When I asked for a receipt of some kind of proof that has my Vin number my car type and license info the manager qas on the phkne with me and would not get anything but a receipt paid $271 I got the receipt no information on my car on there so I'm gonna be contacting the Better Business Bureau as soon as I can and find out if this is protocol for a gas station. Thist is not acceptable how they handle the transaction. Manager was rude on the phone when I talked to her and all she could say was that will be 271 are you kidding me to screw back in go back in a pump that had a fail safe fail safe you tell me it's 271 to tighten it?? Like a programed robot that said that'll be 271. They said the technician has a special wrench? Anyway I do not recommend keep away!!!!! I will be contacting the better business bureau. read more

Not a very busy station. There was a small issue with the receipt printing and the staff was able to help promptly.

Attendant seemed rude. Stopped by to get gas and snacks, and asked to use the restroom. He said it can't be used and then turned and walked the other way. Why close it? I understand the COVID thing. But, why close it for passerby customers. He probably didn't want to clean it afterwards. Laziness. Also, he didn't seem to want to help the other customer when the gas pump wasn't working for him. read more

I went there just after 10 pm this past Saturday evening to get some drinks and a scratcher ticket. I was told it was "Store Policy" not to sell Lotto products after 10 pm. I've been to lottery retailers at 2 in the morning, with no issues buying tickets before. How is it "Store Policy" NOT to sell after 10 pm? read more

This gas station is complete trash. In the literal sense too. I'm going to get into my mad rapper monologue and tell you why I'm mad: - the pump card readers never work. On multiple occasions, the card reader keeps saying can't read card or insert card again, and finally, please see attendant. On a few other occasions, the screen just freezes. And I've tried multiple different cards. No luck. I usually end up walking inside to pre-pay. What is the point of having the card readers if they never work? Either get it fixed or just say all transactions need pre-payment. I told the attendant inside, Andy, and he just dismissed my frustration and said "well, you can pre-pay inside". No sh!t Sherlock. But there are credit card readers outside. What's the point of them? - the filth is out of control. Those brown paper towels are all over the place. There are receipts everywhere. It looks like Times Square on New Year's Day littered with confetti. - the car squeegees never get anything clean and doesn't even get the water off. It just smears everywhere. - the car wash. Don't use it.....ever. It doesn't work half of the time and the other half when it does work, it doesn't get your car clean. Like one Yelp reviewer said, you would be better off leaving your car out in the rain. Perhaps an email to corporate would help clean this place up. Avoid at all costs. read more

Manager SUCKS. Not helpful and terrible customer service from her. Other employees she friendly and helpful. Overpriced gas due to location close to freeway. Don't waste your time of money here if you can help it read more

This place is expensive and has a very limited selection- even for a gas station. I needed a bag for my items and I was charged for a paper bag! I'm not from CA, so maybe that standard, but damn, not very convenient from a place considered a convenience store. read more

They are cheating by displaying wrong prices on the road side display. I saw 3.19 for premium and filled the gas. And then the rate is 3.23 on the receipt. I went in and asked the lady over the counter about the situation. She checked display price and went inside to call her supervisor. That guy is arguing with me that, they have put a message outside next to Big display. Told him there is no sign over there. Then he came out and checked it . Then he started convincing me that, they display it in the Car wash message you are prompted at the station. There is no message over there as well. So, asked for manager and they said he is not there. Don't get cheated like me. read more

The carwash may be a cash trap. I have been there before to wash my car but today i noticed a label on the automated terminal that read "wait till the car finishes the wash completely before entering your code". I did not see this before entering my code. When the car exited the wash, i was out of a car wash. I had to pay another 9 dollars to wash. I realize that i should have noticed the sign but i feel that this is a trick. Other stations i go to do not have this limitation. I will say that the service inside was good. read more

I just called to see if their pumps were open and this jerk yells at me that they are open 24 hour and hangs up on me. I don't need to be yelled at when this location is showing closed on Google maps. I just simply called to see if they were open. If the owner cares about customers being yelled at, they can check who was working on 04/22/17 at 12:30pm. I'm pretty sure that when they applied and interviewed for the job, they did not mention that they would yell at customers who call for a simple question. Don't yell because I want to make sure that you are open. That is just being rude for no reason. read more

I filled the car and decided to wash it. The machine took the money, but the wash didn't work. The cashier inside was useless. Shame on your service! Won't use it any more. Jane K. read more

I've never understood the "I wish I could give this place 0 stars" sentiment, how could a place be THAT bad? Well this place is actually that bad. I actually left this gas station without gas. In fact, it cost me time and gas to drive here so yeah, I'd say this was a pretty negative experience. I'll save you the read of the full review by saying there's a Chevron about a mile away by Lawrence Station that is great and by the 237 and 101 so that might save you a headache at this trash station. This Shell looks shiny and new from the outside. There's a car wash and a pretty comprehensive store. There's non-sketch looking washrooms and even 'real' food like pizza. Problem is, I didn't come here for a hot, comfortable meal. I came here for gas. I paid with card at the pump and when it came time to fuel up, the pump wouldn't start. I pressed the attendant button a few times but no one answered. I put the nozzle back and try the transaction again thinking that maybe a reset would do me good. No luck so I jam on the attendant button a few times (which I realize at this point doesn't work but does give nice clicky feedback) and go inside and talk to the attendant. She says that my card was declined which is a filthy lie because the pump has to approve the card before you can even pump. So she suggests I pay inside first. Whatever, sure I'll do that if it works and surprise, my card still wasn't declined. I go back outside to the pump and lo and behold, no gas. I go back inside and hand useless employee #1 the receipt for the prepayment and explain my situation. She talks to useless employee #2 who suggests I try another pump. I understand that if you prepay inside, you only get charged after you fill up. That's fine but I can already tell the folks I'm dealing with are pretty incompetent so I ask for the receipt back for record keeping to which useless employee #1 replies, "I already gave you one!" and I'm like yeah...it's the one I just handed to you....I pinch myself to break out of this nightmare but that doesn't work so I go back outside, reverse my car to another pump and try that one. Nope, same issue. IF YOU WERE OUT OF V-POWER JUST TELL ME YOU WERE OUT OF V-POWER. I hopped in my car and booked it to Chevron where I was actually able to get gas. read more

LIES. Says discount on car wash for buying gas as well. NEVER again. Not about the money, it's shady. AND THE CAR WASH WAS TRASH. Rain would have done a better job. I'm livid. read more

I love this place. It has cheap gas, clean bathrooms, friendly service and a great car wash. I would give 11 stars if I could.

If I could give this place 0 stars for the car wash, I would do it in a heartbeat. Paid $11 for a car wash that didn't fully clean the car and didn't dry anything but the front grill. Then as you go thru the dryer, it splashes water back onto the front of the car. What's the point of even drying it then? Worst experience I've had at a self service car wash in over 15 years. read more

I read the reviews of this gas station and really agree with all who talks about the car wash. I did not need the fuel and would never fill in the Shell just because of huge prices but I decided to try to wash my car, its really terrible result so DO NOT reccomend it ! read more

I quit coming here. They have a guy outside that begs for money while you're pumping your gas. No discount on car wash when you buy gas (even though it says you get a discounted car wash). Some of the ladies that work inside are nice, but it's not enough for me to come back here. read more
