There's a nice Shell station that I visit all the time while I'm in the Largo area visiting my grandmother in law. I stopped here on Friday evening to get a few snacks get some gas for the car and some beer for the beach the next day. So I used to come to this location frequently because I prefer buying single drinks and getting a variety once I get to beachside over buying a case of something that is all the same. I will give them props for making this available so close to the beach. Back in March I was in an accident that required cam footage to show proof of damage to my car in their lot. They refused to help me with this footage. Since it was my fav place to stop before a beach day for last minute needs I decided to stay loyal to them and continue to go in there as needed. Yesterday I was talking them up and telling a friend we should stop there to support him and his small business. (Owned by a friendly local) As I was getting ready to check out, I asked him kindly to add a bag of ice to my checkout. He said it was $5. I honestly thought he was joking since he always seems funny and playful with me. I then proceeded to say I would purchase a vape. He tried to sell it to me for 43$!!!!!!!My friend and I told him he should reconsider his price margin since you can get the same exact brand and flavor at happy Puffers 2 blocks away. He then proceeds to take my 5$ bill and say that's how much it is for a small bag of ice... Very disappointed and tried to stay a local customer but now they are forsure on my avoidance list for future beach visits. read more

They're not even on the barrier islands, yet they charge on the beach prices. There's no redeeming quality for this place; even the drink coolers are kept outside so you can sweat while you decide what you want. Just do yourself a favor and go a couple miles to Wawa; you'll save as much as $0.50/gallon depending on how bad this place has the prices set on any given day. read more

The infamous "Seagull Shell." $$$$ This is the name given by many locals to this overpriced,and dingy gas station. Why? It is said that the owner learned his business skills by watching seagulls greedily snatch food from the hands of children. I found this out the hard way. Apparently, the $29.00 I paid for 0.00 gallons of fuel was considered a donation! Even showing the employee that the transaction cleared my bank account felt like showing a Such a low-class business mentality makes it easy to understand why hired employees lack ability, customer service skills are 'highly prone to exaggeration,' to cover for their lack of comprehension and motivation. In return; they are rewarded with constant video surveillance, crap pay and total lack of authority! While typical for no-name gas stations that make their income selling vapes to kids -- it is highly unusual for a Shell branded station to tolerate such ineptitude! It's not expected the place to be a Shell branded franchise for much longer... Go to the nearby modern Shell station on Treasure Island. The fuel costs less (really!), the pumps use the modern-high-security card readers that accurately apply your earned discounts -- and the staff is selected based on Shell standards, i.e., they're customer service oriented , friendly, and find it to be little challenge at all to discern the number on each gas pump (granted, most grade schoolers could learn the same in short order). You don't want to pay for another person's fuel because an employee "can't see the pumps," and loads your fuel on a pump on a pump on the complete other end and other side of the island of pumps. (This happened to me at Seagull Shell! Apparently, they think $20.00 for zero gallons of fuel is a donation!... Scary! read more

Worst Shell in the area. The card readers never work and the old guy inside never knows how to run a credit card. Not to mention the interior smells like the inside of a Weed Den. We will no longer go to this shell. 9 out of 10....We have had some sort of issues not being able to buy gas. So....just find somewhere else would be best. read more

Worst service you could possibly imagine. Teresa is an a**hole, and that's probably too generous of a description for her. Refused to cash out a scratch off for my pregnant wife because she (the supposed store manager) was too incompetent to use the scanner. Told us we had to scratch it better, so we did. Three more times and she was still unable to figure it out, then proceeded to call us names and ultimately turn us away. And this is after we just spent $75 in gas there. We've been using this gas station solely for the past 5 years and we'll never go back. Requested the phone number for her manager and she gave us her little sidekick Eric's (her coworker) phone number. No reasonable establishment would hire either one of these clowns. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. read more

Card meter would not release my card. Tried to get an attendant to help twice nobody came out. Not sure if that's a scam or not. Beware. I called to let them know , he didn't care at all. Go down the street you've got better choices. read more

Honestly some of the best top I've ever had in one of the aisles while the store clerk was re-stocking another aisle. FROM A RANDOM CUSTOMER!!!! If you're down to boogey and get down down before the beach life, this is the place for you. Super clean, lowest gas prices in all of FL. I've been buying snacks and gas from this shell for years. The manager will talk to you about crypto mining and is knowledgeable on other various topics. Couldn't be happier with visiting this Shell location. read more

We needed some gas for our car, and had no problems whatsoever getting it here. Very quick, in and out. Can't ask for much else!

The guy that owns this place is a piece of trash. His systems weren't working properly when me and my wife went in to get gas and he (in front of another customer) called us F***ing idiots and attempted to start a physical confrontation with me in the parking lot after I confronted him about calling us horrible things. I will never return to this station and will be informing all of my family and friends to never go to this station as well read more
