Soggy Sub
St.PeteFoodReview ..

While the ingredients were delicious, we had a problem with the preparation of our sandwich. The bread was completely soaking wet and soggy. The $18.80 BBQ pork sandwich and Mac was not really edible, well the Mac was ok, but the main course was a soggy mess. We were not able to eat the sandwich. It was also cold, when requested to be hot. We tried to take it home and put it on the stove in a skillet. Still not good. The bread was ruined. Who knows why this Wawa cannot get it together for their sandwiches, but we will not be returning.

Stopped by at Wawa because they have a better selection of food than the usual late night drive thru's. I ended up getting the Gobbler bowl with mashed potatoes and cranberry on the side. It was pretty good, except for I ordered two bowls and one had a significant amount more of mashed potatoes than the other one

It's a Wawa. Coffee selections are extravagant and plentiful. A large selection of sandwiches. And all the other snacks that you would desire are readily available at all Wawa locations. This one is just off of I 275 in St. Petersburg. Makes for a quick stop on our way to Tropicana Field, or on our way home after a baseball game. This will be one of our stops whenever we are headed to or from a game.

Both ice dispensers are out of service. Staff told me that the machines make the ice. Seriously? Bad management.

I stopped in WaWa to get something to drink and they had no iced tea! How can a place like this have no fresh brewed iced tea?

The first time we were so excited to go and try what looked like they would be out of this world smash burgers... MANNNNNNNNNN they did not disappoint! Hence why we've returned time and time again. The burgers are so perfectly smashed, they're bigger than the bun so you get all that extra crunchy goodness around the edges. The flavor of the sauce is amazing and compliments perfectly. Not only that, but they have great fries! I always get the loaded fries which come with their caramelized onions and cheese sauce. Cue the droolingggg. It's hit or miss if there is going to be a long line but somehow my wife and I have always gotten lucky to get there juuust before everyone else. Service is always very friendly and efficient. As for ambiance, they can't really account for that since they are a food truck but Common Dialect has plenty of seating if you want to stay, have a beer, and eat your food. Now, I cannot wait to try their tacos! Fingers crossed they make it to Tampa sometime soon!

The Chicago dog was good and definitely wasn't lacking in toppings--was loaded up and had plenty of flavor. Tater tots came out nice and crispy. One thing that really surprised me was the coleslaw. It had mandarin oranges mixed in, which was a unique twist compared to most of the coleslaws I've had before. Definitely something different. Staff was very friendly and attentive throughout my visit, and the bathroom appeared clean and well-maintained. The restaurant itself has a pretty cool atmosphere, especially knowing the building used to be a mechanic's garage. It gives the place a unique character that you don't find in every restaurant. Overall, a good lunch experience with friendly service, good food, and a unique atmosphere. Will definitely stop by again!

All of the ingredients were fresh and the bun for the burger and chicken sandwich was surprisingly soft, chewy and held together well. Out of everything we ordered (dry rub wings were great, v9 burger was fair, jerk chicken sandwich good, cookie was good, tots were okay, onion rings meh) the Mac and cheese wouldn't be on the reorder. The pasta was cooked well but it lacked any flavor and was so dry with no apparent addition of cheese to the dish.

Our server, Briana (with the most beautiful blue hair) was the best! Really glad we decided to pop over for a quick bite. Super yummy! The dining area was spacious and kind of reminded me of like a McDonalds or Wendy's of the 90s minus the ball pit. It was great, overall, for what it is, this is a good bite!

Another lunch suggestion from my Wing Man Gary (Why do I call him my Wing Man? Gary is USAF…read moreretired). We've both heard good things about Culver's burgers, so we had to try them. Plenty of handicap parking right outside the door. As soon as we entered we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. Culver's is a cut above your regular fast food restaurant. Yes, you order at the counter, but they give you a numbered marker and deliver the food to your table. FAST. I ordered the Make Your Own Butter Burger. Double patty, onions, pickles, lettuce, mustard, bacon ($1.50), mushrooms ($1.50), and Swiss cheese. It's the same as the mushroom burger with bacon added, but if you add it all up, it's slightly less expensive to build your own. Add medium fries and a medium soft drink, total was $15.50. The burger was tasty, above and beyond what you would get at a nationwide fast food place. You know you have a packed burger when The toasted bun can't contain all the ingredients. The fries were perfect: nicely browned, crisp, and lightly salted. Pretty good meal for the price.

Alright y'all, here we go with another episode of Just How Food Goes!…read more This stop brought me to Black Cattle Burger Co. at 17 3rd St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701, and I was excited to see what all the hype was about. The staff was incredibly welcoming from the moment I walked in. Since it was my first visit, they took the time to explain the menu and recommend some of their favorites. After hearing about it, I decided to try The Black Pearl burger with a side of fries. The Black Pearl is perfect if you enjoy mushrooms on your burger. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly heavy. The combination of flavors worked really well together, and I can definitely see why it's one of their signature burgers. The fries were thick, hot, and paired nicely with the meal. The restaurant itself was clean, had a great atmosphere, and made for a fun late-night stop. While I really enjoyed my meal, it didn't quite reach that unforgettable level that earns a 9 or 10 from me. It was a solid burger, great customer service, and an enjoyable experience overall. Overall Rating: 7/10. Would I come back? Absolutely. There's still plenty on the menu I'd like to try, and I always believe every restaurant deserves more than one visit. That's Just How Life Goes... and of course, Just How Food Goes.

When I was dating my husband we went with his family to Po Folks in Buena Park, California. I was not familiar at all with southern style food and ordered a tuna melt. They made fun of me and well deserved. After moving to Florida and traveling to Georgia I have a new respect for country cooking. When we found out there was a location in Central Florida, we decided to stop there after a Tampa Rays game. I ordered a grilled fish sandwich and it was a huge helping. It was fresh and delicious. The Mac cheese was creamy good, and the service was friendly and kind. They make fresh berry cobblers and honestly that wasn't my favorite, it didn't have a lot of flavor, but the main dish was something I'd order again. The nostalgic candy display and country echoed all the comfort and coziness of grandma's house.

We had a comfortable and relaxing visit in a no-rush place where family caught up on all the latest. Service was attentive and friendly with a group of servers eager to help. I won't get specific with food other than their fried chicken is ok and the fried shrimp was what you expect from the freezer section at the grocery. The kids enjoyed the tenders and fries. Po' Folks provided the family setting we needed. Americana food that scratched an itch but nothing impressive in a culinary sense. I grew up with food like this and we called it putting the feed bag on. As a kid I loved it, now my palate wants more.
