The rise of the machines is not Sci-Fi anymore, Pump are not working and has to go inside, cachier couldn't charge me for gas, old blonde lady didn't know the prices and the gas is charge by gallons + if is full tank; she was to old for that job to figure out, I suggest 13 gallons, she couldn't charger... instead and attitude?! I ask for her name; she said Funny... I highly recommend to avoid this location, worse service ever, is one of those places people just show up but have zero idea of customer service as Shell is been known... I came here to get gas and use the car wash. My car was a little dusty, but it wasn't dirty since I washed it five days prior. I came here to use their free car wash because my car has a ceramic coating. Soon as I gone through the car wash and drove out, I parked to wipe off all the water that the car wash left on my car. My car looks worse than before the car wash. It left water spots all over my car. I recommend going somewhere else for a car wash then this place. Worst gas station in Palm Springs. Gas prices are very high due to proximity to airport. But my issue is that every time I go there one or machines are out of order. My last visit I was getting my car washed and the vacuum was out of order, the card reader to access the car wash and the dryer didn't work. My car was left with water spots all over. The attendant who I believe to be the owner was surly, argumentative and rude. The only reason I was going here is because the accept my grocery store points which brings the gas down to what it is at other stations in town. It was convenient to me but after all the wasted time it's not worth IT Steer clear of this bad station not to mentioning difficult to get in and out of. read more

OMG....sometimes the negative reviews are spot on.....and with this business the reviews were SPOT ON. I stopped in for a car wash. First time ever there. Chunky lady with blonde pony tail late 50s or so coming in and out the door because she wasn't ready to open...couple minutes to 7 am. They open at 7. She was hustling in and out , I'm standing just waiting for her to open. I'm in no hurry. She never acknowledged me/looked at me/said good morning.....nothing. Finally a few minutes later she opened went behind the counter and I walked in. She never turned around and looked at me but said...What do you want ! I was less than pleased with her greeting and let her know so. She said a lot of nothing and I walked towards the door....as I was walking out she called me an ass. Wish I could give them a "ZERO" for style of management and customer service. I go there often to get my car washed because it is quick and convenient but there is ALWAYS something not working with the car wash - either it is out of soap, or the sprayers are clogged, or the device only sprays wax on half your car so I finally decide to go inside and tell the guy behind the counter that their machine is out of soap and that something is always broken and instead of answering, "Gee, I'm sorry, let me check that and let you run your car through again" No, his answer was, "So why you keep coming back - why you no go somewhere else?" Those were his exact words. And you can believe I will go somewhere else. I guess you have to be Rude, entitled, nasty, and unhappy to work there. Nobody should patronize this place. read more

I was checking in on the Yelp app and noticed the one star. I don't make a huge habit of reviewing gas stations but I feel bad about the lowest overall rating I've ever seen for a venue, so here I am. While true how car wash isn't always running, sometimes it's worth dropping by when saving average of $15 for one in this town. It does the job and I'm more than satisfied. It's also true how you better be in right direction to get into the station. Eastbound on Ramon seems the way most get in. Staff inside is fine. I've been here 50 times and never experienced a problem. They're even ok about giving me change for the vacuums outside. All in all, this place is Above Average as far as I'm concerned. read more

Yup, I am going to YELP a gas station. I am about that YELP life and I am going to throw down This isn't a bad shell. I use this place a few times a month! The staff is a great and friendly team. I have been coming here a few times a month for the past 7 years I try to use Shell gas in my cars and I've been particularly using this shell (past 7 years or so) If you research online you will see that Shell has the cleanest burning and best detergent gas. This one Shell station has a car wash built into it. They used to have a horrible car wash but as of late (past few months) they replaced it and it is great! It's a brush less and safe car wash and it takes about 5 minutes to drive through with no hassles. It's a deep clean too! Believe me you, cars that are in the desert areas like mine can hold a lot of air borne sand that gunks up on your car. This car wash was fantastic and an complete upgrade. They also extended the time in which to use the coupon code you get from the pump which is my favorite aspect., You would get a fill up and it would ask you would you like a wash,. You say yes, choose the style method and the receipt prints out a code you could use in 2 weeks. Now, it well over a month!! I am so happy about this because it allows me to wait and get the car washed on the perfect day. Honestly, who doesn't have that karma that as soon as they wash their car it rains? I know I do. This times extension allows me more elbow room to wait! Another bonus, it connects to my Ralph's grocery store and I can use reward points! There's always something broken at this gas station! Card readers, pumps, or car wash. Today a lot of card readers were not working. The new lady with glasses and blond/red hair did not apologize and ignore the fact that I told her that card readers were not working, but gave me her usual "superior" attitude as always. Not sure what happened to the other workers that were more professional and receptive. I have been a customer for 6 yrs. Not only do I get gas I also use the vac and car wash. I have seen a fabulous customer service improvement since the woman has started working there. Always a smile, how are you, what can I do for you ect. I have also witnessed her going out of her way to help customers at the pump, car wash ect. Some customers need to stop being demanding and rude to employees. It is not there fault equipment breaks down. They get it up and running as fast as possible. They need to wait there turn and not interrupt while the cashier is in the middle of helping other people. Your time is just as valuable as mine. Years ago, I learned to avoid this gas station, which has higher prices than most in the area. Today, though, I stopped in to try the car wash. They had service for 5, 8, and 10 dollars. It wasn't very dirty at all, but since I was doing this for my father-in-law, I chose the most expensive option. Sadly, that did no good. I have never had a vehicle come out of a car wash dirtier than it did today. The washer left white spots all over the car. I tried to call the station about this, and connected with a man who was pleasant on the phone but still insisted that his car wash works well and that I must have had some special dirt on it. I explained that the vehicle had not been very dirty and that it had only traveled on regular paved roads. He did not believe me, so I thanked him and let him know that I would dispute the charge and put a review (my first of a gas station) up on Yelp. Obviously, I added, I had no plans to return to this high-priced station and recommend that others avoid it as well. read more

Bad car wash...HORRBLE SERVICE! I do not write bad reviews on Yelp, but I have to share this awful experience. I ran my car through the car wash (paid the extra $2 for the upgrade). Afterwords, I could still write on the car it was so dirty. I went back to ask if I could run the car through washer again or get a refund. I showed the dirt on the car to this rude little man running the cashier. So far so good, right? Then he throws a huffy-fit, says to me "no come back, no come back" in front of the other customers, as if to humiliate me in front of them, and tosses my refund back at me. What a JERK! I have been a customer at this Shell station for 5 years. Not only do I buy gas at this location, I often use the vacuum to clean the inside of my car before I run it through the car wash there. After I pumped my gas today, I inserted 4 quarters into the vacuum( there are 2 vacuums,and the other had an "out of order" sign on it). The vacuum did not start, and when I pushed the coin return button, my change did not come out. I went inside and purchased a couple of other items, and told the cashier what happened. He looked at me, and said," the vacuum is working." Once, again, i explained to him that it did not turn on. He handed me my receipt for the items I purchased inside, and told me to "have a nice day". I proceeded to ask him if he was going to refund me the 4 qtrs. I put in the vacuum, and he said he needed a receipt! The cashier went on to once again tell me that the vacuum worked! Since I am a frequent customer, I can tell you that receipts are not provided at the vacuums, (which he knows just as well as I do). I couldn't believe that the attendant was not only lying to me, but implying that I was being untruthful. In response, I asked if he could come out and help me start it, to which he did not reply. I told him that it was not about the money(we are talking about FOUR qtrs.!!) It is the principle of the issue. It is also about the way you disrespected a customer in front of a line of people. I hope your 4 qtrs. that I gave you are worth the $ 600 plus that I spend annually at this location, as I will not be back! As a side note, I am a customer service manager myself, and the way you treat your customers is not only a reflection of your personal and company values, it is key to the continued future growth of your business. read more

This car wash seems to be broken most of the time. But they will still sell you a car wash at the pump. Only sometimes an out of service sign is up. "Come back tomorrow, it should be working".
