He assured me the $500 deposit was refundable up until they needed to pull permits. I paid the deposit and it was through a different company. What? waited for the inspection and nothing. After several weeks Chase said he was laid off. I was put in contact with Sam. We'll call him full of s*it Sam. Said I needed a new roof and the agreement said there was no refund for the deposit, conflicting Chase. He agreed they would review the recorded call and a manager would contact me. I've tried repeatedly to contact them again and have been officially brushed off and never received anything. No refund or call back.. Also, Chase and I responded on calls and text on a cell phone. Was that recorded?? They push you and tell you whatever they can to get that deposit and then Push you for a new roof and if you try to push back, they're gone With your money.

I wanted to post a quick follow-up to my earlier review. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.

I had a Sunverge battery in the house attached to our solar system. Tried calling many Solar companies and Panda responded right away. They came out and were able to remove the battery in under 3 hours and all the cables and other associated stuff with the Battery. They knew exactly what they were doing and returned my electrical system and solar to the original makeup. I highly recommend Panda because they responded quickly and were totally honest. They did not try to sell me anything as well. They came in and did the job they promised and as quoted. If you are looking for a solar company I would highly recommend Panda solar.

Ryan came out and explained the process every step of the way, and worked very quickly. Price was also reasonable given the cost of everything nowadays. They even have the Gen3 Tesla Wall Connector in stock so you don't have to get one in advanced! Strange that they don't have reviews for the Las Vegas location, but their Utah location has 5 star reviews. The only eyebrow raiser that came up was when I asked questions about installing a second charger in the future, and if it may be better to install a junction box for the future split in the line. Either the request is not as common as I thought, or they do not have as much experience in these sort of projects, but Ryan didn't even know power sharing was a feature in the Tesla wall connectors, and has never had to install more than one Tesla connectors in series or parallel in a single job. In any case, should I need to do it in the future, I'm sure it's very straight forward. Give these guys a call!
