On Saturday, I was driving over to East York to pickup an order. I was leaving Mississauga and…read moreneeded a gas station. Normally, I like going to the Husky gas station close to my workplace on Dixie Road when I'm in this area. I was hitting the Gardner Expressway and decided to check out this Husky that I have passed by often, but never frequented. This gas station is on the northeast corner of Dixie Road and Bloor Street. I was heading southbound on Dixie, so the only way to get to this Husky was to turn left into a plaza to get to Husky. I have never been to this plaza. It always looked weird to me with a mini roof over some businesses that already have roofs. I still don't get it. With the snowbanks occupying parking spots, folks have resorted to parking next to them. It means that the laneway is down to a single lane. It was not enjoyable trying to hit Husky while dodging illegally parked cars and traffic in the opposite direction. Once I got to Husky, it was clear sailing. I parked in front of pump #2. I used my Husky app to pay for gas. I have set the minimum amount at $60 since I started using the app. Due to gas prices being over 154 cents a litre these days, my gas fill-up hit that amount. I had a quarter tank of gas left and it was remarkably full! I need to consider changing my minimum because gas prices aren't cheap these days. There was one other customer at the gas station. It wasn't too busy at around 4 pm. It's a pretty clean gas station. There is a convenience store and a mechanic area next door. I didn't need any snacks or a mechanic. Once my car had a full tank of gas, I put my gas cap on tight and left. If you exit onto Bloor Street, you can only go westbound. It's such an odd setup. Luckily, it worked out for me, as I needed to continue heading southbound on Dixie. I had a nice experience at this gas station. It's more getting here that can be a slight challenge. (60)
