Afterwards, as I drove westbound across York region, there were many traffic lights out and tree branches scattered across several roads. I was travelling along highway 7. I looked at my fuel indicator. It was getting low. I was near Weston Road and remembered this Husky that I would eventually reach. I decided to fill up here. This gas fill-up was my last time using the Husky app. The company has decided to terminate the app by the end of May. I feel that it's a grave mistake. I love rolling into any Husky gas station to pull up the app, select the pump number, indicate the credit card for payment and how much my purchase limit is, and pump away. It makes fumbling for the Husky rewards card and credit card a thing of the past. During a pandemic, you avoid contact with the payment part of the gas pump. Sadly, we are going back to whipping out cards to pay at the pump. I can't wait to go back to this fun way of paying at the gas pump when it's snowy, cold, and windy. As I was filling up my car with gas, a male staffer was changing the garbage bags. He was near my car and we both said hi. He was friendly and personable. Most staff member keep to themselves. I could tell that this guy truly enjoyed his job and liked people. This gas station was clean. It was stocked with paper towel and windshield fluid. Everything worked nicely. With the app's retirement, I didn't know where my original plastic card was. I went inside the store to get another card to link it up to my account. Sadly, you need a physical card to collect points from June 2022 onwards. The convenience store is small. There was one customer in there. I stood closer to the door as I waited in line. This store has an excellent assortment of snacks despite its size. The pepperoni stick varieties were impressive. The cold beverages fridge was small, but it did have a nice selection of pop, iced coffee, and Gatorade. Once the customer was done paying for gas, I approached the staffer and asked to get a replacement card. He was great getting me a new one and gave me a small information sheet with FAQs about the app during this transition. I thanked him, and left armed with a new rewards card and information. This gas station is located on the northwest corner of highway 7 and Kipling Avenue. If you are exiting onto Kipling, you are heading southbound only, as it's a one-way street. I was continuing my drive westbound, so I exited onto highway 7. I had a positive experience here. It's likely one of my favourite gas stations in the GTA. I hope that Husky reconsiders having an app. It was great. Now, I need to reinstall it off my phone. The only good thing is that I reclaim maybe 3 MB of storage space. (187)

I thought that I'd live a little and drop by. I had a coupon that I needed to use. It was for Rockstar energy drinks. I needed to buy one to get another for free. There were more parking spots in front of this store than the other Circle K stores that I have frequented so far. I backed into a spot and walked in. I will say that customers here are polite. The man held the door for me when I walked in. I left this store and a woman held the door for me to go through it after I had swung it wide open carrying my drinks. It was straightforward getting to the beverages. There are a ton of energy drinks here. I found an entire row of Rockstar beverages. I like that there were sugar-free varieties. I got the fruit punch and silver ice. The man behind the counter was friendly. I find that every person that I have dealt with at Circle K has been nice. I scanned my coupon and it worked well. I find that enlarging it works best on my phone for a successful scan. I scanned my PC Optimum card next, followed by tapping my debit card to pay. All was great. I wished the man a great night and he reciprocated. I had the Rockstar silver ice tonight. I enjoyed it. It explains why I'm writing reviews at this hour, which I normally don't do! My experience was a pleasant one. I'll be back. (311)

Turning in here may seem like a bad idea though since it's right off of Bathurst, but I have never had any issues getting out of this location and making an immediate left turn at the next street. Honestly, if I know I'll be in the area, I save the filling up until I make it to this Shell station!

A few years ago, I would often visit my friend for dinner at some mutually agreed upon eatery along the Danforth. She lived at Danforth and Broadview, and worked above where she lived. I didn't mind driving over here after we were both done work. She has since moved away. I have recently been doing curbside pickup at af few businesses along this stretch. After we had meet for dinner and called it a night, I would drive along Danforth and would often fill my car's gas tank at this station. The price tends to be a bit cheaper than the GTA on the whole. I like how how bright this station is as night. You can't miss it unless you're extremely tired. I never had a problem paying for gas at the pump and filling up my car's gas tank. I don't think that I have ever been inside the convenience store. I normally had nothing to buy and wasn't in a snacky mood after seeing my friend. This afternoon, I was waiting for the light to change. I turned my head and noticed the graffiti on the side of this Petro-Canada honouring frontline workers during this pandemic. It was touching and sweet. I quickly snapped a photo before I had to move. This station is across from the Honda dealership. The entrances and exits are wide and easy to access. (66)

On the southeast corner of Major Mac and Donald Cousens Parkway is this Pioneer gas station. A tidbit of information: Donald Cousens was the former Mayor of Markham. He held that position from 1994 till 2006. My parents liked him. I did, too, although I caught the beginning and end of his mayoral tenure. Naming this parkway after him was a nice touch. The gas price was cheaper than the posted price at a nearby Esso station by four cents a litre. I frequent the Circle K there. I immediately made a left turn to fill my car's gas tank here. There were a few customers pumping gas. I found an available gas pump. The problem was that I couldn't pay for gas at the pump. It was the case with all pumps that day. Luckily, the option to pay inside the store was available, so I did just that. I was at pump 8. When I was done, I walked into the convenience store. It's huge. It was nice to browse a bit before paying. There's a mini Country Style area. You can get coffee, slushies, hot chocolate, and more. There was a sign that said donuts, but I didn't see any in the display case. I love crullers from Country Style. Sadly, I didn't see any in the display case. I got a helpful man at the payment area. I said that I had gas to pay for at pump 8. I got my Journie barcode scanned for the first time. Husky got bought out by Journie at least a year ago, so I got my Husky rewards transferred over to Journie. I then paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked the man after he gave me my receipt. I headed to my car and continued my drive home. If you want cheap gas in the northeastern part of Markham, come here. It was an unexpected, pleasant find. I recommend signing up for Journie points, so you can get discounts on future gas, convenience store purchases, and more. (229)
