I'm obsessed with Buc-ee's! It's a must-stop if you're in Texas. It's a massive travel center, with…read moresome locations having over 100 pumps. They've even expanded beyond Texas to places like Tennessee and Northern Virginia. Everything is kept clean, especially the bathrooms. This particular location is on the smaller side, so I can't even imagine how huge the larger locations are. There's a wide variety of souvenirs from apparel and home goods to even pet items. Towards the back, you'll find a deli, a wall of specialty beef jerky, tons of snacks, plus brisket sandwiches and desserts, including fudge. We ended up spending a good amount of time here before getting back on the road. You can sample the jerky. I really liked the Honey Jalapeño and Maple Cherry (on the sweeter side). And don't leave without grabbing the beaver nuggets!

It's close to the highway with easy access. There's a hundred gas pumps. There are multiple entrances to the store. Even at 1pm on a weekday, it was BUSY! Inside, there's that Buc-ee's smell that hits you hard. Candied nuts and fresh brisket. And all the other stuff you can see - jerky and fudge and soda fountains and Icees and a wall of candy. It's practically a ritual. Of course, we had to stop to visit the restrooms. Mrs. K. confirmed that the ladies side was excellent and I could see that the men's side was clean. I love the red/green lights to let you know which stalls are available or not. In addition to the fridge magnet, Mrs. K. added a BUC-EE'S ballcap to the collection along with two bags of the caramel drizzled Beaver Nuggets. Friendly service and everything else about it, just the way it is everywhere else. Awesome. [Review 404 of 2026 - 713 in Texas - 25587 overall]

He helped me carry the beer to the register. She cashier asked for ID. I showed her my ID. She said, "No. He touched the beer. I must see his ID." After minutes of trying to explain that the beer was for me, she refused to sell me the beer. I'm 56 years old. She would not sell me beer. I went home and returned about 15 minutes later. She, again, refused to sell me the beer. I've done business with this store every since the first week they opened...at least a decade ago. I will never step foot in that store again...ever. It's poorly managed. It's sitting on prime real estate, but it's sadly awful.
