I have been a long-time repeat customer of this particular Shell location (@ corner of Five Forks…read moreTrickum @ Killian Hill Roads) for a number of years. The management are top-notch: Both the female daytime manager & male nighttime manager are CONSISTENTLY helpful, friendly, & professional while still being down-to-earth & AUTHENTIC. Each visit they recognize & convey to me the feeling that I am welcome & a truly valued customer. I grow weary of the 'Cyborg'-style employees encountered at every QuikTrip in town I've ever visited, who--though admittedly collectively dedicated & high-performing--ALWAYS seem like overly cheerful, robotic & hyped up clones of one another. I've wondered if perhaps QT employees are partially paid via a commission-like structure (based not on dollar amount but on the number of transactions they process per hour) as it is clear their ultimate goal is to literally get you in & out as quickly as humanly possible. It's empty/impersonal & leaves me feeling overly-rushed, as though I'm being pushed along on a very fast-moving assembly line, or am being told to "move along now," or post-transaction "dismissed" & energetically "escorted" out the door (albeit extremely politely). QT employees are in fact so friendly (& so over-the-top uber-positive) that same is clearly feigned, & their frenetic energy & scripted comments (obviously learned & memorized word-for-word from an overzealous corporate training program that seemingly borders on militaristic in nature) display not only ZERO warmth (& a notable affinity for dramatic stage-acting), but combined *SCREAM* "FAKE!", rendering me feeling unknown, anonymous & "just a number" as opposed to someone whose business is candidly appreciated. That's why 9 times out of 10 I take the time to drive a bit out of my way to patronize the Shell station at 4088 Five Forks in Lilburn as opposed to the slightly closer-by QT. Additionally, the in- & outside are clean & well-lit; gas prices are competitive; pumps are state-of-the-art & a breeze to use; & the convenience store is ALWAYS well-stocked & usually happens to have a few various & sundry basic item(s) I may have forgotten during my weekly grocery store/drugstore trip (at the adjacent conveniently located Publix, & either Walgreen's--formerly Rite-Aid--or CVS). In the past, they even went the extra mile & extended my slightly incapacitated elderly mother the kind & compassionate courtesy of pumping gas into her car--on a regular basis--& never once made her feel as though it were a burden. PLUS, they carry & sell my Top Three 'guilty pleasures': Mexican Coca-Cola in glass bottles (no high-fructose corn syrup or BPA-containing plastic); a VAST array of Starbuck's cold bottled coffees; & my beloved (sometimes-difficult-to-find) ORGANIC American Spirit cigarettes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Sent from my iPhone

I for sure will never be grabbing a fresh apple or anything actually off those racks in front of the kitchen! We stop by this quick trip pretty often since it's right off the highway on our way to the movies! The clerks are always friendly!

I'm going to follow up my Yelp buddy Frank T's 6/7/2018 review and say that I agree with him…read more Compared to numerous other QuikTrip stores I've visited over the past decade in metro Atlanta and along interstates in North and South Carolina, this QT at 316 and Winder Hwy in Dacula could use a facelift. It's not Generation 3 and those became the norm for QT beginning in 2012. This is QT store #766. It's popular and busy because of its location. It's situated roughly halfway between Atlanta and Athens. I visited this location to fill up on my way from Atlanta to nearby Winder to play golf at The Chimneys Golf Course. I was a little surprised at how busy this place was on a Saturday morning before 8am. It was really busy, inside and out. While here, I saw two different meetups, one of which looked like an import scene meetup. An import scene meetup before 8am on a Saturday? Maybe they were headed somewhere. The gas station has 20 pumps. This one even has a separate filling area for semis (truck diesel). I usually only see those at QTs off an interstate. Like other QTs in metro Atlanta, maybe they should build a new, bigger one nearby and close this one down. This one might be too small for the area now. It looks like there's enough land for them to expand on the current lot or build across the highway(s). It'd be nice if they created access to this QT from 316. As of right now, if you're on 316, you have to turn at the light and enter from Winder Hwy. All in all though, an OK QT. And I'm a fan of QT.
