The guy who work in this station is the rudest person i ever encountered. He is a guy of color in the attached photo. I went in to get a gas but no one there but waited for a while until i decided to do it myself. I was in the middle of putting some infos of my card and suddenly he grab the pump out of the counter and got mad at me. And by doing that i wasn't able to redeem my points. But instead he got mad and said some disgusting words. This guy needs a training on how to treat customers. He has no respect. I used to like Shell gas station. But by this guy attitude and disrespectful, he ruined the name of the Shell. He needs to go away. He cannot work with customer. He needs to work on his anger management. Attention corporate office. After reading the many sad reviews...I am wondering if this is the same station. I LOVE these guys! They are always able to take my car...whether it is a new tire...some funky sound or a problem with tire pressure. I have had both of our cars emissions tested here...and only had to wait once. Everyone on staff is helpful and friendly....even in the worst of weather when I just don't want to pump my own gas! Thanks guys! read more

Stay AWAY for car repairs. Sent me out with basically no brake pads - dangerous and also could have damaged my rotors, etc and cost me a lot of unnecessary money to fix. Lets not forget that a car is a 2 tonne death machine if not maintained properly. People in the car can get hurt and people outside the car, with loved one's and minding their own business, can get hurt. I will say something positive to start. I have frequent enough contact with the employees to be able to say - some a very nice. Some are minimally courteous. The night shift folks are really very good - especially when power is out around town or there is something going on - they try to help people get what they need and get around. I would never trust them with a repair. I came in for an oil change. It was convenient for me location wise at the time, I thought I would give them a try. My inspection had apparently gone smoothly several months earlier - why not? All I needed was the least expensive, no fuss change. I was charged for the most expensive change, which included a multi point inspection. Surprised when I was told 80.00 ish instead of the 50.00 ish I had counted one- I inquired as to the state of my brakes. At the prior oil change my brake pads were measured (I have it in writing - 4 mm on the back 6 in the front) and I was told to have them re checked next oil change they may need replacing. I was told "very good. No problem. You can go another 30,000 miles on those at least". My car had about 18,000 miles on it. I asked for the exact measurement of the pads. I was scoffed it "The car has been here almost an hour- how can I remember that?" (uuummm write it down, or measure it in the first place, which I now do not believe you did). And dismissed. "I checked them. I checked them they are very good. Don't be so worried" Considering my car had such low milage and I had not been driving it much, I thought - they checked, they know. OK. Brakes are fine. But there was a squeak. And the squeak got louder. And louder. I had no idea what was going on. I went to a known and trusted service station. Turns out the pads were so thin they were almost cracked in half. I was about 5 minutes away from an accident and damaged brake system before it was caught. when people dismiss and say "don't be so worried" - it's usually when their butt is not on the line. And that's when I know to go elsewhere. read more

Amazing gas and service station! Staff is super friendly and helpful - they've even helped me put air in my tires when I had trouble with the pump. I've gone here several times for repairs and always the job is done thoroughly and quickly. Everyone here really knows what they're doing, and does it well! read more

I called and ask if I can just get a coolant flush which the person I spoke with said, "yeah sure come down right away". I drove 50 minutes to this shell just for them to create this whole scene. The workers were arguing in front of me and even worse started attacking me. He wouldn't let me speak and kept saying how I don't know anything about my car. When I told him to talk to me with respect he said, "I'm not going to listen to a 16 year old" when I'm 21 years old. He refused to let me speak and proceed to get aggressive with me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and frustrated because I just came for one thing but since they didn't want to do it they kept trying to convince me out of it. I've never been treated like this ever! The amount of unprofessional and disrespect they have towards customers is crazy! It's clear that he wasn't respecting me or listening to me because I was a "16 year old female". The behavior is disgusting and I was so in disbelief with how I was treated just for listening to the previous worker who told me to come down. read more

Horrible emissions & car repair staff. Both my husband and I have bad experiences which multiple employees. They are rude, slow and act very " put out" the times I brought my car in. I drive out of my way now to get gas, just to avoid this particular station. In fact most of my friends have had similar experiences there too... read more

The only place in town that does emissions testing. But what a bad experience. I don't know why the state doesn't do something about them. Went 5 times during emissions testing hours and was told to come back later because their system was down. Just nasty people. read more

This service station does not deserve to be licensed as a VIN and emissions control service station by the State. Their commitment to customer service is miserable; they are understaffed and surly. I waited more than 30 minutes for a simple VIN check and left because I couldn't wait any longer. read more

I walked in recently to a door In front of the garage under the sign that read "Emissions Testing " and ask politely if he thought my car ( parked 5 feet outside in front of the garage door) would be able to drive up the omissions ramp without scratching the lower front of this car's lower front . Another attendant came up and said and I quote" you need to go inside and pay for the omissions test and then we will determine whether it fits on the ramp and if it does not , you will have to get a credit for your purchase" ??. REALLY !!! I was a bit surprised that he wouldn't at least drive the car five feet to see if it went up the ramp or not considering the fact that this Shell station prides itself on ...service AND BTW notoriously charging $.50 extra PER gallon for their gas . Living in Greenwich for 30 years ,You hear stories about vendors taking advantage of it's citizens ,Well you can clearly add this Shell Station right to the top of that list although reading the reviews , I guess everyone knew this ! read more

Incredible rude manager and all service personnel. Came twice for VIN verification. They won't tell you the process. They tell you to talk to another guy who sends you around to the first guy who then ignores you. Apparently owner and shell could care less how unpleasant the experience is. Nasty attitude. Zero customer service. Make you wait sitting in candy bar isle while they ignore you. Unfortunately only place in greenwich you can get it done. DMV take notice! read more
