I had a surprisingly remarkable customer experience here today! I was delivering a 10'6" tall van…read morewith ladders to a newer employee. The low tire pressure light was on. So I looked at the tire sidewall and saw it said something about maximum 40PSI. I started the air machine and started filling the tires, each had 60+ PSI in them. I went inside to see if they have a tire pressure gage, the old fashioned one that has the slide out gauge and the back of it had a square you could use to put in the pin on the valve to empty some air out. The gentleman at the counter let me know I could use a coin to do that or my key. Luckily, another guy working in the back said he would be right out to help me! How awesome is that! He came out and looked at the door pillar which provides the correct inflation information for the front and back tires. I may have heard the importance of looking at that once in my fifty years, but at that moment in time, looking at the door pillar, instead of the tire would not have occurred to me. Turns out the front tires need 45 PSI and the back 65 PSI. - Mind blown - . He fixed it up right quick. Thank you!

They have a deli with a number of deli choices and fried chicken options. They also offer Baronet coffee . As busy as they are, they keep the place very clean. They also have an air pump on the right hand side of the building. The staff is friendly and always smiling. Their prices at the pumps are a bit better than some of the other gas stations in the area.

The car came back with the steering wheel off-center and the alignment incorrect. I brought it back for a second alignment. They never mentioned any issue with the alignment or that adjustable top hats were needed -- they simply called and said the car was ready and tracking straight. It wasn't. After raising the issue again, I was eventually told the car needed adjustable top hats to properly address the front camber. The third visit was to obtain the alignment sheets and understand what was actually going on. The specs were clearly off. This should have been identified and communicated from the beginning. There was time between visits because this is a specialty car I rarely drive, it's not my only vehicle, I travel frequently, and I wanted to rule out anything on my end. The shop seemed to hold that against me. After installing the top hats, I gave them an opportunity to make things right. Herb was defensive and combative and told me I would have to pay for another full alignment. I asked for a call from the owner or manager, but no one followed up. I eventually called back and spoke with Jared. He was more cordial and acknowledged they may have made a mistake, but ultimately took the same position and accepted no responsibility for the poor communication or inconvenience caused. This isn't about another $225. It's about accountability and standing behind the work you already performed. Mistakes happen. Refusing to own them is the problem. I would not recommend this shop, especially for specialty vehicles.

It's a little unnerving to leave the keys in the car parked so close to the sidewalk and street in town as the sign directs. But care is quick, complete, affordable, oil is synth blend and most importantly to me, they don't push upsale services at inflated prices by staff that may or may not be qualified to do them. A very honest and sincere oil change experience, happy to bring my cars here when I just need fresh oil and a new filter.

I've religiously taken my car to Rapid Lube for years around 3k in miles. A few weeks ago our…read moreengine seized up and I had it towed to the OEM dealer in Danbury. When they did the analysis of what happened, they said it was due to lack of oil changes and sludge in the engine. Not trusting them, I then called my local mechanic. He said he has worked on tons of engines from Rapid Lube as while they keep track of the car, they often alternate between just changing the filter and changing the oil..ie you're going for an oil change and they don't actually change the oil. In addition they use drum oil. My mechanic said he know multiple people that work there. If you look up online the average time for an actual proper oil change, the time quoted is 20 to 30 minutes. There are constant times I've been out of Rapid Lube in less than 10 minutes. It's too good to be true. Be warned. It is dishonest, potentially incredibly damaging to your car and frankly dangerous and I'm never going back. Thank god my wife wasn't on the highway going 70 mph when the engine started smoking.
