They installed Corian countertops for us 13 years ago in our old house. We were so pleased that we had granite installed in our new house three years ago. Three years later, we had an oops with a chip at the edge of the granite. They were so easy to connect with and figure out a solution. After a very short time. 2 workers came and repaired the chip. The price was very fair considering the amount of work they needed to do to repair it. The workers were knowledgeable, efficient and very respectful of our home. .... I had multiple measurements (which led to at least a month of delays) and another significant delay in getting my product even though the company knew months ahead of time what I ordered. It took two months for anyone other than my service rep to call me, even after repeated requests. My countertop does look good however I was not happy with their install process. They came out and measured on a Saturday my contractor went and looked at it on the following Friday. The install was scheduled for the following Friday. That is two weeks and a week after it was ready. This was one counter a bathroom vanity. Was told they would be installing Friday morning. They called and said they would be there between 3:30 and 4:00. I had dinner plans. They never showed up until 5:45. I have had kitchen counter tops installed and it was about 5 days from measure to install. I would not recommend them. read more

Horrible, looking to have a granite countertop installed through Lowe's. Arrived for a measurement after we contracted and made our deposit. As soon as he arrived you could tell he didn't want to be there. Started and said our end cabinet was not level, off by 7/16". I said ok, can you make it level. He said they don't do that, suggested I find someone, packed up and said call us when it's level. I found it hard to believe a company in the countertops business could not level one 12" end cabinet? We cancelled the job and will find another place. So really, you toss a $5000 job for 7/16" out of level? read more

They have a wide variety of manufacturers across all types and price range! We purchased a small piece of Cambria Quart for our bathroom . Everyone we dealt with from the sale floor , the girls that arranged the measure an installation appointments , the measurement guy and the installers was super friendly, polite, very helpful, professional and fun to work with. I went through Home Depot for my new granite countertops, who works with shell fab... the two men, Isaac and Jason, who installed them literally just left my house. They were very polite, very friendly, and very professional. They did an excellent job, and a couple pieces were a tight fit! The seam is darn near indiscernible! They wiped everything down and sealed it, did a great job explaining to me how to properly care for granite, and went on their way! And it was VERY HOT DAY... they weren't even salty about it. I DO NOT recommend them! Wish I had see the online reviews before we placed an order (through Home Depot). If I could give them a 0 I would. We ordered a countertop for a new home office. They came out in early December to take measurements and since then they have not once reached out to us. My wife has had to be the one reaching out asking for updates. Their first update was "oh your materials will be in next week on Monday". That Monday came and went. We reached out again and they said oh yea your order is in and we will call you by end of day to "schedule" it. They never called. I even escalated this within Home Depot and they were unable to make contact with them. Finally today, 2/6/25 I have had enough and canceled my order. read more

DO NOT work with this company - use literally anyone else! I was scheduled to have a 2ND inspection done this morning because the guy who came to measure the first time measured wrong. I was told they would call 15 minutes before arriving so I could meet them at the site and let them in. I was told they would be showing up between 8-10am. By 12:30 I still had not received a call. My husband had to call to find out what was going on. When dispatch called the installer, the installer straight up LIED and said he tried to call my husband 3 times at 8am and sat at the site for 20 minutes before leaving. No call was ever made. He also had my phone number on file as the one to call today and I never received a call. He also claimed he called our contractor to let him in and the contractor was out of town. ALSO NOT TRUE as our contractor is ON SITE TODAY. Not only do the installers do a terrible job measuring but they also go out of their way to lie about what they're doing. I took off work to meet him for the 2nd inspection which is no longer happening today. When my husband was informed he would no longer be coming today he was also told we had to call Home Depot back and have them restart this entire process again. ALL OF THIS WASTED TIME due to an installer who doesn't know how to measure and apparently lies through his teeth or doesn't know how to call any correct phone numbers because he certainly never called my husband or our contractor. This is pathetic service. We are unbelievably angry about this and can't wait to wash our hands of this terrible company. read more

They do not listen to any request you make. Avoid using them. they will cut your countertop short half inch from your wall. I requested no gap but because they were hiding it with a back board they ignored my request. i was willing to pay more but they just ignored me. Bad customer relations. Bad fabrication. read more

Last week, I called and made an appointment with Jacqueline for 1:00PM on Thursday. I arrived and I was told she was at lunch and the person walked away. A couple walked in another girl comes out from the back and asks if they made an appointment. They said no and she starts helping them. I told her I made an appointment and she says well Jackie is at lunch. So this guy comes out so I ask him to help me. I'm looking at grey countertops and he's showing me black and brown ones. I find a couple I like but he can't tell the difference in colors, so I select one and I give him my measurements for the countertops. He says he will email me later with a rough estimate. Then they would need a deposit and then they would come out to measure. Ok. So no email from Conner and he didn't know how much the countertop I selected was nor any of the other prices. He again said he would send it to me in email. Yet nothing. The owner comes out and doesn't ask anyone how they are doing just shuffling around then goes In the back. Very poor customer service! Being in business for 4 Decades I have to deal with Corporate America at its finest. They won't fabricate specialty items for me. Tell me I can't do what I want, even if I sign a waver. Really? What surprises me are the unqualified people that work for them. Sloppy installations. We end up fixing and punching out their work. They will not schedule a fabrication and install date together, and then treat me like a 3rd class citizen. They will not own up to any mistakes, no apologies, it's just Wrong. Too many other places and nicer people to deal with. They are not the only Cambria dealer!!! read more

Had Shell Fab install countertops through Home Depot and what a trainwreck !! The 2 guys that show up are arguing with each other then whether they measured it wrong or it was cut wrong I have a 1/4 inch gap along the sides of my gas top, then when I call them for a solution they tell me to call Home Depot, Home Depot tells me it was Shell Fabs' fault so you can see where this is going !!!! Needless to say would definitely not use them again !! read more

A client of mine went to Home Depot knowing we would work with Shellfab. Shellfab measured, everything went well. Come to find that Home Depot didn't add an overhang on the short side of the island. So, we just need to add 8 inches to a floating portion of the countertop. I was told that we would have to reach out to HD, make a new appointment to measure the f*kcing AIR where the countertop would extend, and pay $200 for the re-measure visit. This is amazing incompetence and complete lack of customer service. read more

I love the product we purchased, but I'm not pleased with the lack of attention or response to remedy a measure error on company's part. The staff was helpful and courteous with design but refuse to acknowledge that the finished product is not up to par. Professional service from start to finish. I emailed from their website and Barb promptly set up a time to come in and check out their show room after 5pm - which was very helpful. We received a few different options and estimates. We picked a stone and edge style for a counter top and island and paid half up front. Three days later, two very professional gentlemen measured. Angela called us a week later to set up a time to look at the granite to make sure we liked the piece. The next week is was installed by two other very nice guys. They asked if it all looked good. I said great and then I called in a credit card for the other half after the install then they emailed my receipt and I had a follow up email from Jen, checking to make sure I was happy. I am happy I used a local company. Their prices were better than Home Depot and Lowes and the service was exceptional all around. read more

I purchased a vanity with a backsplash. The job took longer then quoted. But what really bothered me was the top of the backsplash was not finished. You can see all kind of scratch marks in the quartz. It did not look like the rest of the countertop. When I contacted the company I received a call from the company. A woman told me the 1" thin top of the backsplash does not have a enough material to finish it really well. Really? The half bullnose was perfect. And that is the same thickness as the backsplash. I will be remodeling my kitchen next year and they will not get my business! A very disappointing company to work with. I would NOT recommend this company at to anyone I know. read more

Terrible customer service. Measured Twice before they came to install and the measurements were off. We were forced to pick out a new slab of granite from pictures online which we were then left with a "temporary" countertop and sink for a month. When they showed up for the next install the measurements were still off and they then proceeded to cut grantine inside my home with my infant son and 4 yr old daughter in the same room. They failed to secure the backsplash . They left my house an absolute mess and damaged my refrigerator in the process. Been going on for 6 months and still no resolve. I had the unfortunate pleasure of ordering my counter tops through home depot. They subcontracted the work through Shell Fab and Design. At first everything seemed ok. I selected my stone and had preliminary dimensions (+/- 0.25" at worst) and ordered at the same time I ordered my cabinets. It took approximately 3 weeks before the cabinets came in and I installed myself. Shell Fab refused to give me any sense of lead times prior to measuring how long the installation would take. I asked several times. I begrudgingly went ahead and had them come out and measure without a lead time for installation. The fellow came to measure and was a real professional, but he did tap dance around the installation schedule issue. I asked him at least 3 times and he kept saying you have to talk with the schedulers. So, I waited until the end of the day to check the schedule and they said call back tomorrow as they didn't have the paperwork. OK fair enough. I called back the next day at noon and they hadn't gotten to it yet. I called back at 4 PM and they still hadn't gotten to it. I called the following day to find that in spite of selecting the granite I wanted and paying for it (now almost 4 weeks prior) they had ordered no materials. It would take 2 weeks before the stone would come in and then another 2 weeks before they could get anything installed. The whole process was completely disingenuous. If they had told be that when I had placed the order and they initially contacted me, I would have never bothered to deal with them. In spite of them basically playing a shell game of moving and floating dates, I was charged $100 for having their person come out and measure (30 minutes of his time 7 minutes from their location). I organized another company to measure and install the same exact granite for what amounted to $100 more within 7 days of a phone call. 2 weeks to measure + 2 weeks to get materials + 2 weeks to install after having an order paid for 3 weeks prior to any of that. Just make sure you get a reputable company with a manageable schedule before you hand out any money. read more

The Quartz countertop 'installed' in my laundry room was off by more than a 1/2," and a 1/4" gap was left visable all along the front. Sent photos to confirm and was told this is the way it is. Had to have my own contractors come and make a wood trim piece to cover this gap. The corian top had noticable seaming that I'm living with The undermount sink in the corian has a dark brown stain that has oozed out of the drain basket and looks dirty. I originally purchased through Home Depot who hired this contractor. Very disappointing experience. read more

Just want to say this is not the norm for me to write a review but I was so disappointed with Shell Fab I felt like others should be aware. To stare with we did not choose them our design firm did and I hope they stop using them in the future. It took them four times to get our counter tops correct and after holding up our kitchen for a month they finally got it right but cracked our sink at the final install, they did fix this but the aggravation was annoying to say the least. We did speak with the owner after the third mistake and had to say we wanted a full refund if they couldn't get it right. All ended well after the fourth install but I would not recommend them to anyone. After the shit show that occured they could of at least sent a nice apology note or checked to make sure we were satisfied but none of that happened. I have to say the crew at Kinetics Kitchen and Bath did an amazing job on our kitchen and handling all these issue for us as best they could. read more

I ordered a custom butcher block section for my countertop through Home Depot. I have a glass cutting board over the butcher block so it has literally never been used. The seams are splitting even though I have treated the block as specified. I called Shell Fab and since it was a "custom order" through Home Depot and they don't manufacture the butcher blocks there, there is no warranty. She gave me the number that she "googled" to contact the manufacturing company directly. She'll Fab was paid for the product but won't back it up and won't discuss it with me. Two unacceptable tries at a laminate countertop. First countertop arrived fairly quickly in about 2 1/2 weeks after laser measurements (good technician). It came with a horrid seam that Shell Fab replaced with a new countertop. Ok. The second countertop arrived a couple weeks later, seam was much better but during installation it was found to be cut too short! Instead of getting a THIRD countertop, the helpful installers worked with my husband to alter the lower cabinet to fit. When I contacted the owner, she said we should have gotten another countertop. With every countertop installation, we have to remove the sink and faucets, cooktop, and cabinet drawers. I explained we had to move forward to finish our kitchen project, hence altering the cabinet. With unnecessary setbacks (2 poor countertops), extra time/expense (plumber), cost (fixing gap in wall from altered cabinet to fit the short countertop), I think some type of financial reimbursement is reasonable. The owner told me no. We should've opted for a third countertop. No thanks. Dealing with Shell Fab is like a bad relationship I had to break. I'm surprised at their cavalier attitude with unacceptable fabrication. The extra star goes to the laser measuring technician and installers. read more

Selected quartz countertop at Home Depot that was installed by Shell Fab. Immediately after installation ,defects such as discoloration and water stains were noticed . At this point the installer Shell Fab and the manufacturer LG Hausys both agree there's something wrong with our countertop but neither will assume responsibility and I'm stuck with $10k defective countertop. read more
