I put the nozzle back on the pump, and returned into my car. While in the car, I sat for a few minutes on the phone. During that time, the nozzle fell off the holder, smashed off the concrete, then smashed my vehicle. After looking at the holder for the nozzle, I realized there was a crack in the fixture. After bringing this to the claims team, it took a month before they requested I send two estimates which I completed last week. They dodged my calls and follow up emails all week. Finally this morning after following up again, I was able to get through and they NON VERBALLY sent letter documentation which ultimately denys my claim. To make it worse, now in order to receive the security camera footage of my incident, they require I have a subpoena. I wanted to make this public because I am the one to typically come on here and rave about my consumer experience. I also, depending on the circumstance, will hand write letters when employees go above and beyond to make my service seem personalized. This needs to be made public so that this doesn't occur to anyone else moving forward. I own a 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Model which I own the title to. Ironic my emails required attachments, but the fixture shows detachment... This is how the Speedway umbrella dodges financial accountability for faulty pumps.

The Valero near my parents condo is a whopping two dollars for the air machine. And, as another reviewer has noted, this here Mobil has a nice industrial strength air machine, too. I was headed out and realized I was having car trouble. I sputtered in this gas station and my car broke down. I thought maybe it was Gas so I paid for a few gallons but that wasn't the issue. Two gentlemen helped me park in a parking spot and suggested it may be the fuel pump. I immediately used my AAA service to request a tow truck. I entered the gas station and explained my situation and asked if it was ok to leave my car while I wait. I spoke with the owner who said yes and told me to leave my number. I was on my way to pick up my daughter from daycare so I got a ride and went to pick her up. The store attendant, SHAAD, proceeds to call me every 15 minutes threating to have my car towed or call the police on me if I do not remove my vehicle. I returned and explained that AAA was on their way and there was nothing I could do at the moment. I reminded him I am a member of the community and I live right down the street and he repeated "I don't give a fuck if your my neighbor" and proceeds to call the police on me. The cops show up and I explain the situation and they agree, if the tow truck is on the way, why is it a big deal. I was asked to leave the store, which I did and wait outside. I will say, the store owner called me back to apologize for SHAAD's behavior. I believe in community building and this attendant clearly only cares about the patrons of his store when there is something in it for him, otherwise, in his words "he doesn't give a fuck" Sometimes people just need a bit of help and a kind person and SHAAD was none of that. I will never return to this gas station and I encourage Ferndale Community Members to spend their money somewhere who is invested in the community.

These highway robbers were exploiting their location next to the airport and proximity to the rental car returns figuring that people will just pay it anyway. When I return a rental car I drive down the road to another gas station and pay at least $1.50 less per gallon. The attorney general of the state of Michigan does not play when it comes to price gouging .
