I want to start by saying I am a resident of Ferndale, a member of the community and I actually live on the same street as this Mobile Gas Station. I was headed out and realized I was having car trouble. I sputtered in this gas station and my car broke down. I thought maybe it was Gas so I paid for a few gallons but that wasn't the issue. Two gentlemen helped me park in a parking spot and suggested it may be the fuel pump. I immediately used my AAA service to request a tow truck. I entered the gas station and explained my situation and asked if it was ok to leave my car while I wait. I spoke with the owner who said yes and told me to leave my number. I was on my way to pick up my daughter from daycare so I got a ride and went to pick her up. The store attendant, SHAAD, proceeds to call me every 15 minutes threating to have my car towed or call the police on me if I do not remove my vehicle. I returned and explained that AAA was on their way and there was nothing I could do at the moment. I reminded him I am a member of the community and I live right down the street and he repeated "I don't give a fuck if your my neighbor" and proceeds to call the police on me. The cops show up and I explain the situation and they agree, if the tow truck is on the way, why is it a big deal. I was asked to leave the store, which I did and wait outside. I will say, the store owner called me back to apologize for SHAAD's behavior. I believe in community building and this attendant clearly only cares about the patrons of his store when there is something in it for him, otherwise, in his words "he doesn't give a fuck" Sometimes people just need a bit of help and a kind person and SHAAD was none of that. I will never return to this gas station and I encourage Ferndale Community Members to spend their money somewhere who is invested in the community. read more

I don't usually bother reviewing gas stations. Petroleum is driving us headlong into a climate apocalypse but it's damn near impossible to live in the United States in 2022 without being dependent on it. So why five stars for this Mobil? Well, the location is convenient and they have a cool little Leaning Tower of Pisa painted on this stubby little pillar getting its lean on. I feel like it's the last remnant of an old canopy that got demolished? I don't know. But the real reason this basically basic Mobil gets the five star red carpet is free air! It seemed too good to be true so I actually went back inside to ask if it wasn't out of order while I was waiting for my tank to fill up with planet poison. Lo and behold, it's free and it works! It's sad that's all it takes for me to shower stars on a gas station the way Chef Salt Bae showers salt on a plate of food in a probably already sadly dated meme but there you have it. The Valero near my parents condo is a whopping two dollars for the air machine. And, as another reviewer has noted, this here Mobil has a nice industrial strength air machine, too. So that's the skinny here. It's been awhile since I've written a review here and the thing that brought me back was... free air. read more

This gas station is very well maintained and stocked. However, as a person of color, I find the man who maybe the owner, Ali, extremely prejudice. I pay attention to the cadence of his voice when speaking to Caucasian customers, versus when he speaks to me. I also pay attention to his body language when I'm in his store, as though he's on guard and needs to further assert his authority. Yesterday I visited the store, and purchased some candy I extended my hand to him so he could take it. He all but looked at me, as if I was subservient to him. And when it came to handing me my change, he did it in a fashion as though I was beneath him. I've been inside this gas station over several times because it's conveniently located near my job. Unfortunately, every encounter I have with Ali, is poor. He no longer has to be troubled with my presence or money, because I won't be back. read more

Ferndale's Mobil is AOK. Their gas prices are usually a little high but what I love about this location IS their location. It's right down the street from everything uptown and it's on my way back home. The fact that their air compressor is not only free, but it's also an industrial compressor means that you're not waiting for an eternity to fill your tires...like when you're using one of those 25 cent push button models. In the winter this is clutch and the only place I'll go to fill my tires FYI. read more

This place has just about anything (and more) that you could need at a gas station. They are always well stocked, and really clean. They also have really good prices on a lot of drinks, especially the unique flavors of Red Bull, Diet Coke, and other sodas that some gas stations just don't have. It's also in one of the most convenient spots around. I've never gotten gas there but if I'm ever low on gas in the area, I definitely will. read more

Mobil is my favorite gas station. It is conveniently located on Woodward just south of 9 Mile Rd. The owners keep it tidy and safe w/surveillance cameras. The pumps are newer so gas pumps quickly. They also have televisions installed for your viewing pleasure while pumping gas. Unlike a lot of Mobil stations this location accepts speedpass. Yippee! No matter how crowded it gets, there is almost never a wait and if there is one it is less than 5 minutes. read more

Outstanding established with outstanding services. Unlike other station this place is clean, organized and filled stocked. Very friendly staff and owner. Truely focus efforts on customer service and alway makes you feel welcomed. read more

This is my go to spot for Gasoline and desperation energy drinks. If you could pull up a lawn chair, it would be a great place for people watching. Many people walk up or ride in by bicycle to buy cigarettes, and there are fair number of regulars. Me, I only go in for a Monster or Red Bull. read more

Dark, blustery winter work-week mornings can be so depressing, but my go-to Mobil station is here to save the day. Whether I need gasoline, or water (they also offer free coffee w/a fill up), or enough bright light to rouse me from half-slumber, this place delivers. The gasoline pumps are quick and the service inside (when I use it) is all business, no chit-chat. Just how it should be. read more
