No alcohol after 10pm. If you need late night snacks, then maybe it's a place to hit up since all restaurants close pretty early.

The coffee, which has similarities to a Turkish coffee, is a medium roast with Cardamon and cream. Definately a unique flavor profile from what I am used to where it is a flavorful robust coffee that is well balanced with no harsh notes and oh so tasty. What I didn't know before coming here is that coffee originated out of Yemen some 500 years ago where they clearly have perfected the drink where this is a HUGE step up from the week diluted drink we call coffee here in the states. The coffee shop itself is bright, clean, very modern and very inviting with a casual vibe and nice Yemeni accents throughout to add to drinking experience. Staff is very friendly in explaining the drinks and how they are made and help guide you to the right drink choice as the names of drinks are very unique and a tad confusing as evidenced by my Mufawaar (: Overall an excellent unique coffee shop that is a must visit if you are a fan of good full bodied coffee. This is so good it is actually worth going out of your way to get it!

This is a very…read moreopinionated review, but based on 50 years of lucky access to very fine coffees, and ideally you will consider it more enthusiastic and informed than smug and annoying. We live on the West Coast, were looking for Yemini coffee, and fortunately found Qamaria's website, ordering the Gate of Yemen dark roast. The roast is lighter and less oily than a French roast, as it should be, with some oil in the beans appropriate to something called a dark roast. We would say that Qamaria not only skillfully but more importantly respectfully roasts for the bean. This coffee makes us very happy, with a good dark "round" and balanced aroma to the ground beans and the brew. We made it pour over, but it feels most appropriate to stove top espresso or traditional style. It has a very satisfying long tail. A pour with a plot. A touch of the right kind of bitterness. The bean crushes easily between the fingers and grinds up finer than the espresso blend that we drink pour over (45% French Roast using Columbian beans, 45% Italian Roast using Mexican beans and 10% dark roast using Indonesian beans). Qamaria dark roast makes a pour over cup that is thicker than expected, which we find very satisfying: it's a sort of the character of traditional brewing but in a Chemex. We like the surprising way that a slight, fine sediment sneaks through the pour over paper filters and spreads across the tongue. Next we will move on to other Qamaria roasts and blends, brewing on stove top. The price point kills us, but how does one settle for ordinary to save money, when extraordinary gives such pleasure?

This…read morebusiness is a Barista style operation where they have basically alll the drinks you would expect to see at a coffee shop of this nature. For my first drink here I ended up getting a latte where the espresso was made from organic fresh roasted in house beans. The drink was very well made with the correct ratio of milk to espresso and was creamy, balanced, where the espresso clearly shined through and most importantly the drink was quite tasty. Relative to staff and facility, Joe the owner greeted me as I walked in the door and was very friendly and outgoing where he knew the names of several customers as they walked into the coffee shop. Joes friendly demeanor appears to be one of the strengths of this business, aside from his excellent coffee, as evidenced the return customers that came in during the short period I was in his shop. The facility is quite clean with a nice coffee shop vibe to it. It has a smaller footprint with a limited number of tables for indoor dining where they also sell fresh roasted coffee beans by the bag, some pastries, and prepared food among other things. Overall great coffee at a reasonable price and a friendly owner makes this a shop not to be missed if you in the Novi area. Especially if you are a coffee geek like me.

They had stationery (e.g. notebooks and cards), Japanese and Korean makeup, a lot of gachapon machines, and other anime merchandise. We had a nice time browsing! The makeup section was a nice surprise. The gachapon is a bit expensive (1 token is like $2 and the machines require like 4 or 5 tokens depending on the toy) but I don't know the going rate for gachapon so maybe that's standard pricing? The drinks area is at the back of the store and there is ample seating to the side. The employee was friendly. I ordered a milk tea which was pleasant, not the best I've had but the price was very reasonable. The tapioca was interesting, irregularly shaped and chewy, and the core was a bit harder than the rest of it. My friend enjoyed her matcha. I can see this being a nice place to bring your sushi/bento from One World Market next door, grab a drink, and hang out!

Some Japanese items, so many Manga figurines and key chain charms and stickers too. The slippers and sleep gear actually looks comfortable. Lots of Japanese makeup here too. The green tea is ok. Service is quick and fast. The tapioca is so, doesn't taste ad chewy as I had hoped. The Mango bubble and mango tea is ok.

They are out of jasmine tea today, had to get the fiery cinnamon spice, since they have no other green tea. :/ Ordered the Denver mint coffee with oat milk, dark chocolate, no whip cream, large and a medium fiery cinnamon spiced tea. $13.68 Staff is friendly. The hot tea gets separately brewed before being placed in the to go cup. It's scalding, needed an extra sleeve. The white paper cup feels hotter than their yellow / amber sleeve. Not sure why they have two very different to go paper containers in the first place. Was really wanting a Green tea, but spiced it is. The fiery cinnamon spiced tea is okay, too weak for the medium container, only a slight hint of cinnamon. Could have definitely used another bag to make it more flavorful. My hubby said the Denver mint was decent, he's not a huge fan of their black brewed coffees so much from past visits, their flavored is the way to go here.
