Members only wholesale Grocery and wholesale goods store Membership is 60$ and Executive Membership is $120 If you fill Gas here every week which is atleast 10 cents cheaper than what the rate is in the Area sold in other gas stations - you have covered the membership fees. I am not fully convinced Costco is the best place to shop for your daily needs; especially for a family as small as ours. You are buying in bulk and storing it in the house; sometimes for a year if you dont use as much kitchen paper (for example) The good things although are - customer service is good; the checkout lines moves fast even on the weekends! ; the produce is good quality and lasts! Indian food and seasonal indian items are available too. Some times they have big furniture or other seasonal household items on sale right when you need them; which saves you money too. read more

I lived in California in 1996, when I first joined COSTCO. All these years, I loved my membership and always talked to my sister about joining. Last year, 2023, she finally made the switch. I promised her great product, at a great price, with friendly, happy, employees. Today, she went in to renew her membership, and while entering the Returns door, the manager yells at her in a loud voice, asking her where she was going. Two things, probably more than that, are wrong with this: (1) No adult needs to be yelled at for entering the wrong door. (First time renewal, she didn't know how it is done), (2) yelling at her like she is a criminal instead of asking if she was lost or needed help. Not sure how things are done up in Detroit, but not with much understanding that members pay to come to COSTCO, not the employees paying us to be there. The worst part is to find out that the lady is a manager. Out in the suburb, that must be "the way things are done". This is not those days, get some employee training done, because no one will pay for bad treatment, just to shop at COSTCO. read more

I love Costco. The tasty samples. The wide aisles. Their commitment to supplying and offering non GMO food. Almost all of the Costco's I've been to (and it's a lot) are set up the same way. The real deals for me are in the organic frozen fruit section, toilet paper, produce, and coffee. Rather recently they have added that acai bowl in the restaurant part that I really enjoy. The management and staff at this Costco Warehouse location are very interested in their customers. They are engaged in a positive fashion. I like to shop here because of the wide variety of high quality products they have to offer. At my last visit I was pleased to find the cuts of fresh meat I was interested in and even new types of cheeses I had not experienced before. Their fish and dairy is always fresh and well presented. I also enjoyed picking out a fresh salad. I also like going to this location for larger events. I can easily find the materials I need to feed a large number of people for a reasonable cost. Their travel services and other special services like home improvements and enhancements are another draw for me. read more

Pros-- it's a Costco. This means that you get to enjoy all of the great products that Costco has made a business model out of selling by way of economies of scale, being a mass purchaser. Lower prices for higher quality, particularly in the realm of things that can vary substantially in price from store to store like higher-end food staples or vino. Checkout staff are usually pretty friendly. I can't say as much for the pharmacy, which is a hot mess and where they act like you're entitled for not understanding how their ass-backwards system is organized. Checkout lines are perennially and grossly understaffed for the heavy volume of suburbanites and the occasional citydweller who ventures so far out of his normal territory to enjoy those deals on products like bulk Detroit-made Banza pasta, snausages, milk, or a 23 gallon tub of shelf-stable mac and cheese. Major con is that it's in Livonia, which is a pretty terrible place, pretty right-wing and completely inaccessible by public transit because they believe that the poors should pull themselves up by their poorstraps and buy an F150. To that end, try to avoid getting run over in the parking lot by a guy in a Ford F150 with QAnon and FOP stickers on his truck (a.k.a. my future husband). read more

Decent Costco wholesale store. I'm actually doing a review for the new soft serve ice cream at their concessions. It's some kind of açaí berry mixed with vanilla ice cream/froyo (I'm actually not sure). The frozen açaí was pretty tart in contrast with the vanilla but I was pleasantly surprised. Amazing shopping! The cashiers are always friendly and very quick to get the lines moving. The tv selection is way better than Best Buy. I bought a curved Samsung TV for about $600 cheaper than all the other stores. Fresh flowers, fresh cakes made for my kids on their birthdays. This store does an incredible job of customer service. read more

High volume store! Not enough cashiers at the registers, the lines are always backing up into the isle ways, and the staff seem overwhelmed! If it's really busy you won't find anyone on the floor to help you because they are either at the registers or pulling carts! Come on Costco!! read more

I opened a new membership today and Larry was incredibly helpful! He actually seemed like he cared and was talking me through everything Costco memberships have to offer. I've shopped at this location with my friends before and have never had any problems. The only downside is that it's in a busy spot of Livonia so it's always hard to drive in/out of the location, but once inside I've never had any issues. read more

Great store to shop!! My Husband and I love the roasted chickens for under $5.00 Yummy!! The Pharmacy is very speedy with great service. I'm a Costco Girl! Costco is a great store. I love shopping there and even though it is a distance for me , its worth it. I am handicap and Costco really tends to the handi cap carts. They seriously make sure they are always running good and that they are constantly being recharged. The handicap community really appreciates it. the staff is great too, always helpful and kind. Plus what's really great too is the fact that they pump your gas for you if your handicap. Hilda is great! Its a 5 star pius place to shop. read more

I've been a customer of this Costco location for many years, and have spent thousands of dollars over the years at this warehouse. In the past I was always pleased with the service that I received which is why I continuously returned here even after moving closer to another location. Many of the long time employee's know my husband and I from years of patronizing and they greet us and engage in pleasant conversation when they see us. However, I was shocked and appalled at the treatment that I received at the customer service desk on Tuesday, 6/26/18. After googling "Costco, Livonia", I inadvertently called a different location on Monday, 6/25/18 to inquire about their return policy for luggage. The reason I called to inquire is because I witnessed a lady returning merchandise that was very old and used (per the employee), without a receipt, and was given a refund. I explained that while packing for travel during the previous week, I noticed that my luggage had a large crack in it. I informed the employee that I had purchased the luggage at Costco and that it was a few years old, however, I just wanted to inquire about the return policy. The person on the phone asked for my membership number, placed the call on hold for a few minutes, and returned to the phone and said to bring the luggage in for return. He stated that he would put a note in my account to notify the customer service desk that he approved the return. I thanked him and asked for his name. He informed me that his name was Ken. The following day, on 6/26/18, my husband and I took the luggage to the Costco warehouse in Livonia on Middlebelt where I purchased the luggage from. While I was waiting in line, the customer next to me was returning a SEVEN (7) year old, battered vacuum cleaner. I heard the employee tell her, "this vacuum is 7 years old... all I can do is give you...". The first employee (Jess) that I spoke to stated that she could not find the luggage purchase in my account. She asked me if I had the receipt. I informed her that I had actually purchased 2 sets of luggage from Costco, the one that I was returning was purchased several years prior but the most recent set was purchased last year so she should at least see that in my account. She asked me if I had the receipt for the second set of luggage and what brand it was. I told her that I did not keep my receipts beyond a few months. I called my son who was at home and had him to send me a screen shot of the other luggage. I showed her the picture of the Samsonite luggage that my son sent to me. She stated that because I didn't have the receipt, and she couldn't verify that I've EVER purchased ANY luggage from Costco, she couldn't do anything. So basically she called me a liar and I told her that I was offended by that statement, so she went to get the manager, Dave. I'm not sure what Jess told Dave but he approached me with a very aggressive, negative, abrasive demeanor. He stated that he researched my "entire" account history and that I've NEVER purchased luggage from them. He also stated that they have NEVER sold that brand of luggage or any luggage in the $100-$159 price range that I stated that I paid for the luggage. He was very loud and rude; other customers were staring and listening intently. I was so taken aback, and angry at how he approached me and was speaking to me that I could barely speak. I told them that the luggage was purchased several years ago, along with the hundreds of other items that I've purchased and that I could not remember the exact price but it was in that price range and I DID indeed purchase it from COSTCO! I told Dave the only reason that I brought the luggage in for return was because I called the previous day and spoke to Ken who told me to bring it in. Dave said, "that's a lie, there's no Ken here". I was in total shock and disbelief! I said so you are calling me a liar, and that there is no Ken here! Dave then said, yes there is a Ken but he was not here on Monday. So I pulled up my call history in my phone to show him the number that I had called on MONDAY. He said that's not this store. I said, I may have called a different location, however, KEN told me to bring the luggage back. Dave stated that there was no way that I talked to KEN who told me to bring the luggage back. I was so upset, people were staring. I told Dave that he had just lost my business, and he said okay. I went to my car and called the other Costco that I had called the day before. I asked for "Ken". Ken came to the phone and I explained to him what had happened and how upset I was. Ken apologized and informed me that even though I went to a different location, they should have seen the note that he put into my account approving the return. Ken asked me what I wanted him to do about my experience. I asked Ken to call Dave and inform him that he had indeed talked to me on Monday and told me to bring the luggage.
