Because it gets bogged down, they will close the turn around entrance into Costco, so you need to go all the way around through the Costco parking lot into the gas station area. It is not that big of an issue, but it also affects you when you want to get into Costco in general. While Costco is one of the more organized gas stations, since you may only go one way, I do like an organized business, the set up and location of the how you get into the line may create some challenges. Still, this is one of my two preferred Costco stations in the area.

Each time I had to go inside and get a receipt from the employee. When I asked why the pump doesn't print receipts, I was given two different reasons on two different visits. 1) the employee said something like 'the pumps were designed in Florida, and so aren't designed to work in cold environments'. Or something close to this. I said BS, and that we're in MI. He did that it's a Corporate problem, and that many other drivers have had the same complaint. 2) during my other visit that this receipt problem happened, the counter employee said something like 'none of the pumps print', even though he acknowledged that the pumps offer a print option, and I'm not the only driver to complain, and that Corporate is aware of the issue. All I know is that I avoid Speedway at all costs. So far it's worked. Does Speedway Corporate have a response?

It's totally self-service. There is an assistant available at the honk of your horn, which is nice. In the past we've run into problems with our card or a particular pump acting up. This helper has always alleviated anything out of the norm for us. So that's pretty good service. This location has incredibly long lines. I would never wait during prime time for gas. I ordered some hot food too to go since they have their meal deals here. My order was complete in record time I would say. Clean restrooms too! I did find it a bit odd with how their drive-thru system is set up but that's a lot of Sheetz gas stations for you too. A Costco membership comes in handy at times like this. The price for gas is much lower than other stations in the area. It's also a convenience when you grocery shop and can fill up all in one location. From there M-5, you can use 14 mile rd or the Maple rd exit and be there in seconds. They've opened a new, bigger, facility so now they have over fifty pumps. Five pumps per line mean you wait far less than ever before. You know my strategy, go there at 6:00am, when they open. I'm the only person in the place! No cash accepted is a downer. But, they do have staff available, should you need them.
