Came in here for 3 days in the last week to grab some fried chicken and chicken sandwiches. First…read moreday was on Saturday, 2/11/23. We were able to order some good food along with a couple of bottles of Pepsi Zero. Second day was on Monday, 2/13/23. Wanted some Chicken Sandwiches, but they didn't have any, so got an order of 2 Breakfast Sandwiches and an 8-piece order of fried chicken. This time around, the chicken tasted a little old and not as freshly cooked. The portion sizes were smaller pieces, too. Third day was on Tuesday, 2/14/23, for Valentine's Day!! Took a break for lunch from selling flowers to grab some snacks (Nutter Butter and Oreos King Size) and get a couple of Chicken Sandwiches. The store didn't have any out, so had to ask to get 2 new ones made. The lady was kind enough to make them for me, but when I opened one up, the bread was stale and the chicken wasn't warmed up. Not sure how old the bread was out for, but the sandwiches were not tasting that fresh at all. Kind of disappointing for the most part...

Over the past five or six years, I have developed an affinity for good gas station cuisine... I started coming to this gas station Because it tends to be quicker to get in and out of when we are driving back to the east side of the mountains. The guys that work here are always incredibly friendly and do a great job of keeping the place clean, well lit and, they tend to have gas that's about a penny cheaper than the other guys. To my eternal delight, they pointed out that they have Indian food for sale. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had came from a small gas station in Yakima, when an Indian family bought it and the mom started cooking. That appears to be what's going on here as well! The Indian gentleman who run the place seem to be Family or friends, and do an incredible job on all fronts. That now includes the Indian food! There's a freezer, now two or three, in the back of the restaurant that has 15 or 20 different restaurant quality Indian dishes. We sampled, goat, lamb, chicken, paneer (Indian cheese), and vegetable options. Everything we've had here, including the bagged garlic naan, has been amazing! We will grab two of the entrées and a bag of non-, and it feeds us for a couple of meals. It taste like somebody's mom or wife made it, and everything is legitimately worth going back for. This has become stop every time we pass by, partly for normal snacks, and increasingly for dinner later. You owe yourself to check the place out!

Not happy about the car servicing. We towed our car here and asked if they could inspect the car as…read moreto why it had died. They did and called to tell me it needed a new engine. It was toast. Then they charged me $212 and tried to tell me my husband had approved that amount of "work" at that cost. Didn't happen, my husband would have never approved that without talking with me first. Last time they had quoted a $90 investigation fee so I was expecting the same cost. (Btw, they won't take that charge off the total bill either if they do the car work, it is a flat fee) When taking with the manager Rocky about this, and reminding him I had paid them a year ago $3800 for a new transmission on this car, and that I had been a very regular customer for over 10 years and that I was not happy about that high of a charge, he wouldn't budge repeating that my husband had approved it. I also wasn't happy how they embarrassed me by refusing to let the tow truck take the car off while I discuss the bill with Curt and Rocky the next day. Is this how you treat your 10+ year customers who had recently paid you $3800? Embarrass them and hold their car hostage? It's not like you don't know I live up the road under a mile away, have had my address and credit card info for all those years. It's not like I or my husband don't go into your place almost every single day. Well Rocky, you have lost my business completely. We were daily customers for gas, cigarettes, occasional beverages, etc. Hope that extra $100 you charged me was worth it. My honest opinion is that they nickle and dime you, and are all about the profit and not about the customer service. Adios, taking my business to Shell just a little further away.

I have a cousin who works at the refinery in California. He had suggested to me back in 2005 to use Shell fuel as it is truly top tier. Even though it costs more, the fuel burns slower hence, you will fuel less. So you would receive value for your money. Cheap gas burns faster so you will fuel often. Back then, I tested cheap fuel with Shell fuel. It was in fact true. I had to fuel more often with cheap fuel and as compared to Shell. The employees are nice and greet you upon store entry.

Jackson Shell has a massive layout making it easy to pull up to or out of a pump. The mini-market of convenience known as Jacksons is basically a 7-Eleven meets a WaWa (east coast)... tons of snacks, beverages, and a few prepacked, cold and hot eats not to mention those mildly marked-up items you seem to need when you can't find them like a car charger, a mask, chapstick, car care, etc. The carwash seems super easy and smooth as we saw about two cars go through and come out shiny. Easy, quality, and gallons of care on the corner of Edgewood and 24th St.
