When you think of a convenience store, you typically think of someplace where they have employees who are just passing the time, and good service is a rarity. This Dash In is the example of how things should be. I have never walked in the door without being greeted by at least one employee, the store and the parking lot is always clean, and the service is excellent. The location is a bit of a pain to get into. You have to make a U turn if traveling south on 301, and if traveling north or making that turn, you have to watch for cars merging onto 301 from Smallwood, as you try to turn into the store. It is worth the trouble, The owners of this store are often working there, and they are totally into customer service. It is rare to rate a convenience store, but this one deserves more stars than Yelp allows.

I saw some good reviews for this location, so I drove by on a Saturday right before they closed and chatted with the owner, Brian. He hopped in the car and drove 1 yard, immediately told me what he thought it was, and warned me to avoid driving the rest of the weekend as grinding the wheel in extreme heat was risky. He said to come back first thing Monday morning to get it lifted up and properly examined. Came back Monday and the team figured out I needed to replace the caliper and brakes. Price was fair and they said they could do it same day within 3 hours, so I let them work on it and had them do an oil change as well. I'm very grateful for Brian and his team, taking the time to explain what was actually needed and why, and not overselling me on additional services. I'm so glad I finally found a new trusted mechanic! Will definitely take my car to Brian and the team for all future maintenance services.

Brian estimated that he could have my car fixed within a few days. The whole job took one week because he found other significant damage in the interior of my car which I didn't know about. Overall he communicated well, asked if I wanted to fix everything and had such a positive attitude. Also they do excellent work for a reasonable price. I almost wanted to keep this gem to myself but the world (or Silver Spring) needs to know where to go for superior auto care whether mechanical or auto body. They also cleaned the interior of my car. I don't want to come back for anything other than oil changes but if I need a job done in the future, I know where to go. I think the pictures speak for themselves to demonstrate high quality service.

I was going to hold on the fuel for my vehicle because there was another location up the road that I would be able to get my fuel at. I pulled in to this location, which was so confusing to get to, and ran inside. I needed to use the facilities on top of grabbing a drink. I don't know what it is about Wawa's and their bathrooms, but they are always the worst part of any location. It's like customers go in them and see if they can outdo one another in hopes of destroying the bathroom. Once I was done in there, I made my way out to the drink area only to find disappointment. This location did not have sweet tea for me to grab. I'm not sure what was going on, but I think that they were either replacing their dispenser or didn't have one at all. With that, I made my way back outside to continue on my way. That is once I was able to figure out how the hell to get out of there.

I drive a lexus so I take premium gas, so for me it can get very expensive. But when i come here I always see a difference in price when I fill up. The employees that are working inside here are super nice, they have a 24 hour convenient store. The location is super convenient right in Crystal City and easy to get in and out of which is huge when you are in a hurry. The gas prices are not the cheapest in the area to be honest. I have seen better deals at other stations nearby but sometimes you just need gas and this place is right there. The pumps always work and I have never had an issue with the card readers which is more than I can say for some gas stations lol. The convenience store inside is actually pretty well stocked. They have snacks and drinks and even some basic groceries and toiletries which has saved me a few times when I needed something quick. The coffee is actually not bad either, way better than I expected from a gas station and they keep it fresh throughout the day. The staff is friendly and helpful. The guy at the register always says hi and is quick with the checkout. They also have an air pump which is free and that is a huge plus because so many places charge for that now. I have used it a couple times and it always works. Now for the not so great parts and why its four stars instead of five. The prices are really the biggest thing, gas is definitely higher here than other places in Arlington. I get that its convenient but sometimes I feel like I am paying extra just for the location. Also the parking lot can get super crowded during rush hour and people are always zooming around in a hurry which makes it a little stressful to navigate. I have seen a few near misses with people backing out with out looking and honestly it gets a little chaotic. The bathroom situation is not great either.
